It has been quiet here!
I am in moving hell. I leave with the girls in 3 weeks. Omg. I’m Pinteresting home decor and furniture for our new place in my spare time, as stress relief. If anyone is interested in decorating and wants to see what I’ve gotten so far, I’ll share.

I'm currently in Ontario visiting family. We drove over in the motorhome with my parents, which was an awesome way to travel. I did have to say goodbye to my parents yesterday though. That was hard, particularly my mom since she's been here for a month. I've said goodbye to them so often that I had stopped crying with it, but last night I definitely cried.

How far do they live from you? My parents live in CT and I’m in NC I always hoped leaving would get easier but I definitely think it gets harder every time(i haven’t lived near them in 8 years) Especially now having kids it’s hard

We've been so busy! we have had something going on every single day. it's been a nice forcing function for me to not watch HGTV all the time. Larzmini doesn't really like to be held a ton so I often feel like a bad mom because she is more content on her activity mat or in the mamaroo.

Yes robot do share! I feel like I’ve stalled in decorating and finishing our house since W came along. We lived here for 2 months before she came so we unpacked the essentials and settled in but things like art work on walls and sorting through home office stuff hasn’t happened yet. I’m pottering in the garden trying to get it a bit established too. In those few hours a week where DD1 is at daycare and W is happy to play while I’m busy. I’m just loving this age, out of the newborn woods and such gorgeous cuddles and sounds. She’s also an exponentially better sleeper than DD1 was at this age, bless.

Ok! I’m not much of a decorator, I tend to be pretty minimalist, but since we’re starting over almost with furniture and putting together new rooms for the girls I figured this was a good time to update a little. I’ll spoiler this. Here's what I’ve grabbed from Ikea so far: New throw pillows for my living room (to go on our gray sectional): I’m thinking a teal blue storage ottoman since I’m getting rid of the coffee table, with a white tray for drinks. This blanket I'm using as the inspiration for F's nursery: I want to do a pretty woodland theme. The trees would be more like the colors from the blanket. And this duvet cover for M's new big girl room: My friend made her this cross stitch and then I think I want to do a floral/travel sort of thing.

DD has that duvet cover for her room, it's super cute. I also love that there's so many colors, so finding sheets to match is pretty easy.

My brother and I went to have supper with our other aunt. We stayed longer than we expected but now we're having fun driving a back country road on the way back. My stomach is dropping!

Happy weekend all!
It’s such a beautiful day here. It’s winter, but the beach is divine. DD1 stripped off about 2 minutes after we arrived and ran around nude!

My aunt gave me a wrap that she had bought for my cousin to use at her house, but my cousin is done using it so it was just sitting around. It's really comfy, and F loves it as much as the ring sling

I’m here! I go back to work in 2 weeks and I’m stressing about E taking a bottle since she is still struggling. My work is close enough that I can go 2-3x a day to daycare to nurse her if needed but I also found someone in my neighborhood who will watch her for us and it would be so much cheaper but that makes it harder for me to nurse her during the day bc it’s further away. I’m hoping a couple weeks of daycare will help her to take a bottle.

itsmemeg B is having a hard time with bottles too. It was recommended that we try mimijumi or lansinoh momma. He does sort of ok with the momma so we’re going with it for now, but I think he’d really like the mimijumi. They’re like $30/bottle so I don’t even want to try it out of fear he will love it. Have you tried either? He also flat refuses/chokes if it isn’t warm, which I’m sure you’re already doing. Good luck, I’m sure she’ll figure it out once forced but that’s obviously not ideal!

My little wouldn’t take a bottle before daycare really. She would only take the Lansinoh Momma bottle but she would cry and cry before taking it. One week in daycare and she took them without issues.

My July was very rough with a lot of family loss and health scares, so I’ve been MIA. We’ve also been traveling a lot, and with the two boys it’s so hard to find a few minutes to check in.

itsmemeg I know your LO has more complex issues, but my first son was a nightmare with bottles. He wouldn’t take one before daycare, and barely ate while he was there for many months. He would nurse all evening and night to compensate. I had such a hard time responding to the pump, and SO much milk was thrown away because he’d start the bottle and only take an ounce or so at every feed. He was also very sick that first year, and it was such a hard time and I had SO much guilt. It was awful, but we just powered through (there were no other options for us). He did stay on his curve at the 5th percentile, so all was well according to the ped. Starting solids and drinking milk helped with the reverse cycling. Even now at 3, though, he barely eats and is still a terrible sleeper, so I think he’s just a tough kid in those areas. Probably not the anecdote you were hoping for, haha. I am here to commiserate though.

We have both of those. She’s does best w the Lanisoh momma right now so that’s what we keep trying with. I legit have like 15 different bottles we’ve tried. Maybe more

L sleeps so well in her own room! We only get up once both nights!!! And now that the witching hour thing has passed, I really like her all the time. I love her but she has just been so much harder (aside from sleep) than her brother. He was such an easy-going, happy baby and is still mostly like that as a 3yo.

We took DD to church for the first time today and I’m sitting in the nursing room listening to all the infants/toddlers that are in the buggy who aren’t happy. At least it isn’t distracting DD from eating.
