Age: 3
Milestones: he has his first real field trip next week, I am freaking out. I mainly did it as an opportunity for him to go on a school bus. My anxiety about this outting is through the roof. He will be going to the zoo. I refuse to let my anxieties hold him back.
Challenges: he is tantruming everyday all the sudden. nothing over the top, but he’s very emotional. I think he senses a change coming. I’m comfortable with emotionally supporting him through. It’s hard to watch my H work through those moments with him because he says all the things the positive discipline type parenting books say to avoid... they’re both getting better.
Funny/cute stories:
How are you? Struggling physically, but overall well
Anything else? Just started watching Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and I can’t stop
QOTW: What song do you play most often? Currently we watch the Taylor Swift Delicate video because I love that style of dance, not even sure what it’s called but DS likes it too.

Milestones: More chatter, but nothing outstanding this week.
Challenges: He's everywhere all the time. Busy! So busy! And he's up MH's butt again, so he's been striking against Mommy. It's emotionally exhausting.
Funny/cute stories: I picked him up from DC yesterday and he just kept smiling and yelling, "HI! HI! HI! HI! HI!" over and over. He then clamored to get in my arms and snuggle. This is a rare occurrence these days since he's obsessed with MH.
How are you? Okay. Tired, emotionally and physically. My mom's pretty deep into chemo these days so I've been visiting a lot. I'm also not sleeping well. But I'm trying to find things to do to keep my mind busy.
Anything else? We're redecorating/updating my home office and my new green tufted sofa arrived this week. I'm in love! I can't wait to have a space that's ACTUALLY mine!
QOTW: I love The Roots song The Seed. I mean, I love The Roots in general!

Age: 2.75
Milestones: He moved up into his big boy bedroom this week! We wanted to paint the nursery so we've been planning this for a while and talking it up so he was super excited. Every day last week he asked if the delivery truck with his big boy furniture would be coming that day. He was so excited when he got home on Monday and his room was all set up.
Challenges: Not too bad this week, honestly. Maybe it's just the calm before the storm, or maybe all of the tools I am learning from "How to Talk so Little Kids Will Listen" are finally making a difference. Probably the former, but I'm still enjoying it!
Funny/cute stories: He pronounces yogurt as "yorgit", which always cracks us up. The other night H asked him if he wanted some yogurt after dinner and N said "No, it's yorgit, Dad!" We about died.
How are you? So tired and sore. Third trimester is kicking in like woah.
Anything else? I am so happy that he likes his big boy room but I'm also sad. He's growing up so fast! And for the past couple of weeks he would wake up and come into our room with a stack of books to read and cuddle with us in bed and now that he's moved upstairs (our master and the nursery are on the first floor) that can't happen any more.
QOTW: What song do you play most often? I don't listen to music much anymore that isn't toddler music. When I'm on my own it's usually audiobooks. So, Hot Potato or Baby Shark probably!
