Morning!
My dad is taking B and one of my cousins out for "boy dog" day--aka they're going to see some famous cows and then get lunch, lol. Meanwhile, Mom and I are going to take C out for some shopping and errands. It's warm and humid here today so any place with AC is a-ok with me!

cagoldi yay for the air conditioner! But boo to scabies! I hope he feels better soon! Happy birthday wineallthetime! I hope it's a great day! Packed in the car for a 3.5hour drive to Beaver Lake. We did get more beer last night in case anyone is worried.

Morning! My babies rushed in this morning to give me various hand drawn cards and H ran out early for flowers, breakfast stuff, and presumably a gift before I woke up. All the stores were still closed, though, so he printed me out a gift certificate for a massage. Hey, better late than never, right? I am in need of a good long massage!
Not sure what else is on the agenda. My mom may come out later and take me shopping. I need to figure out what I want for dinner...my son suggested Colonial so I can get my own birthday sundae and balloon animal 😂

I somehow spent over an hour at Walmart. I guess I zoned out because it didn't feel that long. I can browse with the best of them when I don't have the girl with me.
Today is basketball day at dc. I'm expecting the least since firefighter day was a bust as well. Dude called that morning and cancelled, which is what he did last year too. I think he is a retired fireman, not sure.

We went to a safari park today. I’ve never been to one before, it was huge! And given the fact that it was 90+degrees it sure felt like Africa. Dd and ds were adorable, zebras are ds’ favourite animal and he could get so close! Dd slipped her nap and they both slept like crap last night, fingers crossed today is better!

Hi from the gym! I just did a three mile run and now I’m hanging out in the movie room before I get the kids out of daycare. Ryland starts school today in the afternoon preschool class. Two down, then I just have to get Lucas back on Monday and I am down to just one! Hallelujah!

I'm still stuffy and not feeing great, but I'm powering through. My MIL is coming today for a week to help with M since MH starts his long work days today. School starts for him next Wednesday, so it will just be him and her on the weekdays until then. She doesn't know it yet, but I plan for her to take him to a new play place that opened up close to my house and chuckee cheese on the days they are home. I don't think she'll mind since both of those activities are inside.

So the other day when we got home from work/daycare, the day that I met him at lunch on his field trip, he told me that he wanted some alone time at daycare to be sad cause he missed me so much. So he's got three more field trips this summer and I guess I'll tag along for one, he'll love it.
The remaining trips are; Nature walk including picnic outside along the river valley, indoor playground and spray park. I'll let him decide but hopefully it's soon so I can let work know, good thing my workplace is great.

Hi hi! Wife of the year here who did literally nothing for MH's bday yesterday. He said he didn't want to go out, which was all I had planned.. so I just got a cake mix and cards for a celebration this weekend. He told J last night that their favorite baseball player was traded (along with most of the Orioles) and I was totally crying listening in. J took it well and was asking if we wouldn't see him at the games anymore and where he is now. And then asked about other players be apparently knows by name. It was super sweet and ended with "so we still don't like the Yankees, right?" 😂 I also put a leave in for my program to take a break for the fall. Something has got to give and parenting and work aren't options, oh well. These discussions happened a lot during hockey season. Baseball season has been a bit easier, aside from Judge's recent injury. Plus Colin was so worried about Bryce Harper getting traded to the Yankees because ha HATES him for some reason and always says he's dirty. Once it was clear that no trade was happening, DH asked what he would have done. Colin said he would have had to cheer for him because he cheers for all the Yankees. I'm glad he missed the Giambi and ARod years. |
