Question for all of you that travel/camp. What are you doing for baby food if you use purees. We are going to Colorado in a few weeks with my parents and I was going to order some baby food to be delivered to their house since they are driving. We have been getting the tubs but I'm wondering if I should do pouches for traveling or if it doesn't really make a difference if you are using a spoon either way. The tubs are way cheaper but I was wondering what is more convenient. I don't really remember when we starting doing pouches for DD1 without a spoon but maybe it's at this age.

Wow what a night. Both N and I were both puking last night. Pretty sure I barely slept. 10:00- go to bed 10:05- N sits up puking, covers her entire bed, showered her and changed her sheets, tuck her back in to bed 10:30- N sits up puking again. Give her another shower and change her bedding AGAIN. 11:00- H wakes up for her first feeding, back to bed around 1130 1:00- Im up puking 2:00- H up for her 2nd feeding 530- H up again but luckily goes back to sleep after I fed her
Oh my godddd
Luckily we both seem fine today so hopefully it was just something we ate. 🤷🏼♀️

amesie holy cow. I hope everyone is on the mend! Me! 🙋🏻♀️ I could use a drink! Today is my Friday so that’s one plus. T has been much better about only waking twice in 12+ hours. Phew. No if only my toddler wouldn’t consistently wake up yelling between 4-4:30am for no reason then goes right back to bed. So weird. I’m trying to decide what to have for lunch at work today.

sarahh, I would just do whatever is cheapest if you have to use a spoon anyway. The mess/trash will be the same. amesie, I'm glad you are feeling better!!! I fed Faith eggs for the first time today and she did great! No gagging or funny faces! She picked up a few pieces from her tray but they didn't quite make it to her mouth but she will learn. I also fed her oatmeal cereal for the first time in several weeks and she ate it too. The last few times she just spit it out and wasn't interested. The last week I have spent about $400-$500 in new clothes. I've been pregnant the last two fall/winter seasons and very little I own still fits right. Some of it will go back as I ordered a few different sizes but still... All of my purchases have been Old Navy, JC Penny and Kohl's, plus one purchase of boots from Torrid that I'm hoping will fit my calves. So while it is a large amount of money I'm basically re-doing my entire fall and winter wardrobe so I'm trying not to feel too guilty. Thank goodness I don't have to do a work wardrobe too!!!

I should try egg with V too! Thanks for the idea. I want to buy clothes but I'm holding back bc I still have 15 lbs to go! I did get these, they have elastic in back of waist so that helps. I think they will be ver versatile (dress up or down)! I wore them last night for a Beautycounter party I hosted. Which was so much fun, the kids stayed asleep through all the noise and I got to have fun with a handful of girlfriends. Much needed!

Speaking of clothes, I can't wait until I can (hopefully!) fit in all my pre-pregnancy jeans again. All my shirts fit fine, but my jeans and some of my dresses are just a little too tight still. The next size up is too big, so I feel like I have a closet full of clothes that are just teasing me right now! I am 2 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight, but I also have about 5 lbs of IVF weight to go, so I would like to lose 7 more total. I'm worried once I stop breastfeeding I'm going to gain more though- I will have to be careful since I am used to eating so many more calories right now. I will miss feeling like I get to eat so much!

My baby STTN for the second time in his life. It was glorious. But then daycare called because he wouldn't stop crying. I have a message into his ped because he's had cold symptoms and congestion for over 2 weeks. If he was up a lot I'd suspect ear infection but 🤷♀️

sarahh for camping we do purees in containers too. amesie That's a really rough night. I hope you're both feeling better. DD and I are struggling with her first wake-up and I could use some advice. Lately she's been waking up 1-2 times a night, which isn't so bad, except we keep having false starts with going back down after wake-up #1. I nurse/rock her back to sleep and transfer to her crib fine, but she'll be awake again 15 minutes later. It's usually after the 3rd try that she'll stay down. I know I need to decide on a game plan for it during the day, because in the moment I'm so tired that I want to hurry along the process. Any good ideas?

H is on the way to the city to pick up our new (to us) camper!! It’s going to be such a HUGE difference from having a tent trailer! It’s been so fun thinking of how to pack now lol! We are doing a weekend trip tomorrow with friends, but the lake is only 1/2 hour from us and we’re in no rush and we’re still mostly organized from our trips last month so it shouldn’t be too hard to transfer everything over and pack to use this camper! We’re excited to get to try it out so soon and see what we like/dislike and give us a better idea how to pack and use it for next summer!

Faith was having this problem a few weeks ago (about 5, 5 1/2 months) and I did a gentle sleep training on her after I know she isn't hungry. I put her down and let her cry for up to 2 minutes, then go and sooth her, then let her cry up to 4 minutes before soothing, then 8, then 16, etc. I only had to do that a few nights before the up and down and up and down stopped. Now if she wakes up it is because she is hungry and usually goes right back to sleep.

Hi! I am here. After my rough day yesterday, today is much better. I got the AC in my car fixed and I was home in time to give both kids naps. I even laid down for awhile myself.
In a little while G’s teacher will be here. Then after MH gets home, I am going to the gym. I want to lose like 40lbs so I started going this week. Besides crappy lunches today and yesterday, I have been pretty good with eating too. I will get there.

While we’re talking about weight loss, I weighed in today at 163#!! Last time I weighed myself I was 167. I noticed my belly looked a little smaller and felt a little more “loose” if that makes sense? I was super happy with my outfit yday looking kinda skinny (for a mom)... in high waisted nydj skinnies and a Perfect T. But I’ll take it.
I want to get to ppg weight (well call it 150) by the time O hits 1, and at that time I won’t feel too bad about working out or dieting a bit more since nursing is less about nutrition then. My sister is getting married in a year and a half and I’d like to not look awful! My total goal is between 140-150. My body is happy - and looks good - at 145. So I’d be ok with that. It’s still 20 lbs from now but.

So what do your daycares do with your JF18ers? I just am not there and want to make sure O is being stimulated enough.... like... I pay a crap ton of money for her there a week (329) and I want to know what t o should be expecting? DD1 wasn’t in daycare until 18mo.
Also I have to address no wubbanub unless she’s sleeping.... I’m not dealing with a paci addict and if they’re giving it to her just because, I am just gonna take it away period. Pretty sure I already told them that.

sunfrogger, sometimes they take the babies outside on a blanket. It's difficult though: it can't be too hot, they have to be in shade, no one napping, etc. Most of the time the babies are playing with the sensory toys. The form we take home tells me what he played with that day. Last week he loved the bubble machine. This week it has been looking in the mirror and the light machine (has stars and colors). They also did artwork last week. Must have been his feet because I saw a teeny amount of dried paint on his toenails. He still spends 3 to 4 hours of his day napping, then there's feeding times, so I don't expect a lot of playtime. I do know they work with him for tummy time and rolling over which is nice because I feel like I don't do enough.

marygracerich and sunfrogger and anyone interested in doing a workout program, I don’t know who all likes doing at-home workouts but I am currently a month into Bikini Body Mommy (BBM) 7.0 and I registered for the 90 day mixer contest starting in September bikinibodymommy.lpages.co/bikinibodymommy-90-day-contest/I did BBM 6.0 in real time winter 2017 with a group of ladies on the Parenting/GD board so I haven’t checked to see yet if there’s people signing up for the mixer contest, but it does help a lot to have a check in group! I really like her workout programs/challenges and a month into this one I’m already feeling some changes physically and mentally again!

I actually hate working out at home more than I hate the gym. 😂 I just hate working out in general. I have gone three days this week though and I really pushed myself.

Our daycare does tummy time, exercauser, playmats, etc. We get a daily report on what activity she particularly liked that day. I picked her up early on Wednesday and one of the workers was on her belly encouraging her to "crawl". They do an art project most weeks (usually with her feet) and send it home. Ohio won't let blankets or wubanubs or loveys in the crib. Basic pacifiers only. So we send a paci and I *think* they only give it to her when it is naptime, but I'm not there so I don't know for sure.
