CD11 today, went for monitoring this morning. Lining is absolutely perfect. They did note some free fluid which was a bit of a concern and a paraovarian cyst she isn't worried about. Progesterone starts Wednesday and transfer Monday. I'm a little nervous going forward with the free fluid, they took a few hours to think/discuss before calling to say we are going ahead with the cycle.
I'm also really frustrated and not feeling good about this because they had in my chart I was following a different protocol than I am. I was told we would keep everything the same when first try failed. My sister was told by her doctor that everything would be the same. But today they had in my chart we were doing a natural cycle. She got halfway through my appointment before listening long enough to know I've been taking the meds as directed for the original protocol. I feel like because I have no known fertility issues they aren't taking me seriously as a patient and just don't seem to care/aren't organized/won't communicate with me.

Ugh wineandcake that is so frustrating. Do you go back for another US to check on the fluid?

wineandcake, that sounds frustrating! How can the clinic expect this to work if they won’t communicate with you? I’d want to check on the fluid, from everything my RE has said any fluid in the uterus is a big red flag for transfer.

Just got back from a week at Lake Tahoe and it was a blast! A great way to keep my mind off all of this. H left for Army training on Monday and won't be back until a few days before transfer so I'm alllll byyyy myyyyseeeeelf for all of this. BUT a bit of good news, finally got my meds switched around so that it's all covered by insurance - amazing.
Otherwise I'm just here on all the pills (BC, z-pack, baby aspirin, prenatal, thyroid meds) and counting down the days until my baseline next Friday.

charliefox, that’s amazing that you got your meds covered! And Tahoe sounds great, I haven’t been there since we moved out of CA. Which side did you go to?

We were on the Cali side, sort of the north west shore. This is the 3rd year we've met up with my side of the family for a big Tahoe vacation - it was a blast, I could've stayed forever.

Triggering tonight, retrieval Saturday. Apparently my ovaries still have some eggs in them... Now we see if any of them are any good 😬

Haha, kind of nerve-wracking! The Follistim is pretty easy, the Menopur burns a bit, and I’m still kind of like holy shit we are doing this.

Thanks for checking in charliefox, hooray for being done BC. Transfer went well on Monday, my doctor did the transfer and she was extremely pleasant which was a nice surprise. Lots of cramping that night which didn't happen after the first, I know completely normal to have it and not have it. Now I'm impatiently waiting for beta on the 29th. I'm sure I'll give in and test daily from Monday onward.

I had my baseline today (all looks good! start stims in the morning), and I had a few questions but it was the NP who I don't really like and she just brushed me off. Anyway, any one have info on OHSS? Is this something I should be worried about? Does it happen more for people who have tons of eggs or could I still be at risk with a low AMH?
Injection tips and tricks? I've googled a bunch but I'd love to hear from you ladies.
Our plan is to do a fresh transfer and then PGS test the remaining embryos (assuming we have enough to test). Is this crazy? Do other people do this? I feel like everyone either does a fresh or PGS tests all. I wasn't going to do the testing but H wants to, I really want to do a fresh transfer to save time and money and hopefully avoid PIO (lol) so this is our compromise.

Oh aaaaaaand, lol, my nurse just called and said that all looked good with my blood work. I logged into the patient portal and my E2 levels at listed as 5, which seem super low, like post menopausal low. I know they want them below like 50 to start stims but this seems weird. My RE looked at everything and gave the ok but I am just so nervous something is going to go wrong and we will have wasted all of this money on meds etc.

I wanted the fresh transfer in the interest of saving time and I wanted to PGS the remaining embryos. Unfortunately we never got enough embryos to make the $$ worth it. For us anyway. Most I got was 2 (after a fresh transfer). Are you planning on transferring 1 or 2? You’ll get an idea at your next US on how many follicles you have for an indication on whether you might be at risk for OHSS. Good luck and I hope it all goes well!

From what I understand, OHSS typically happens more for women who are higher responders, so it’s less of a concern for those of us with low AMH. For injections, I found icing before Menopur helped with the sting. I’ve never been able to do shots myself (kudos to the ladies who can) so H always does mine. Dont you still do PIO with a fresh transfer? I think my RE does, anyway.
