Holy cow, some good news. I want to pop open a bottle of champagne. So at some point before we moved, DH's monthly 'flight pay' was turned off, essentially due to someone's incompetence at his old command. Once we moved last summer, the error was realized. Then there was a freeze while compensation plans were looked at...and thus it has been sitting on someone's desk in the pentagon since last fall. DH just got confirmation this morning that his pay will be turned back on, and we'll receive the back-pay that he is owed. It is...not insignificant, plus he'll get his monthly allotment going forward. I was so afraid he was going to get screwed over by Big Navy, this kind of restores my faith in it. Looks like Flamingo is going shopping!! |

Cadence probably doesn't get enough sleep. She usually falls asleep between 9:45-10 and wakes up between 7:15-7:30, some weekends she sleeps later, others she wakes up early, like 6:30 this weekend. Her naps are getting shorter at dc. The past 2 days they have been about 45-60 minutes. Yesterday her teacher said she sat up crying and when asked what was wrong she said "my body is sleepy and wants to nap, but I don't know how!" Poor girl was exhausted, bedtime was nice and easy last night.
I've tried moving her bedtime up, but she isn't having it, so I just go with the flow (or try to) at night. When she's tired and I'm tired, we set each other off though.

jewels That's basically what M's sleep looks like. Except she still naps at daycare. I have no idea how long though.

jewels Ds hasn’t napped for over a year or so. He goes to bed around 07.15 and 9/10 days falls asleep within 5 minutes. He wakes between 06.30/07.30. So 11-12 hours of sleep.

Cher happy birthday to C2! flamingo yay! Unfortunately I'm also at the other end of the spectrum. I found out I didn't get paid for June and won't get paid.  Gives true meaning to the term "selfless service." xolastunicornxo, I can't believe school starts already there. Hope your big kid has a good first day back. jewels Cass is usually asleep between 9-9:30 and wakes around 8:00.

Can you get a cleaner? Is it that stuff making you anxious? It’s not really house cleaning stuff, it’s little errands and things to do around the house. Basically, I need an assistant that does things exactly like I do them. Also, maybe this is an UO but I love cleaning my own house, I’m not opposed to getting a fall/spring deep cleaning done because ain’t nobody got time for baseboards, walls, windows etc, and have been looking into it for this year. Same. I'm going to have my friends cleaning company do a deep clean once a month. Baseboards Windows tubs and showers. But I like to clean my own house on a weekly basis. All the little errands and scheduling stuff, makes me anxious too. And then makes me mad because it doesn't even cross Alex's mind that we need to get the physical form to the pediatrician in time for preschool start. |

cagoldi you looked sooo pretty in the FB pics you posted the other day!!! Happy Birthday to your little guy Cher! 🎈🎂 C singing him HBD was so cute! Have fun on your trip mwhip!!! I hate being MIA here guys!
My husband is not getting sent back to Africa until mid September. So he will be home for 2.5 months. Which is awesome!!! However we just bought a house and moved across the country so like...... money yo! Luckily our new neighborhood is like 200+ houses- I had him post on our hood FB page that he was available for small jobs. So he’s been busy in several neighbors houses doing work ever since he posted it. 👍🏼
The new house is great!! Just half filled since it’s so much bigger. And we are trying not to spend money until MH goes back to work. I refuse to use credit cards.... so we just gotta wait until we have the money.

jewels I’m not very consistent with sleep schedules in the summer. My kids are asleep between 9pm-10:30pm. And up between 6:30am-8am. And Gunner hasn’t napped for over 2 years. So I would say 9.5 hours is probably about where he is at on average too.

slenle I'm sorry for your rough day! Hugs! sands42 I already told H that we need to stop for more booze. We have 1 - 30 pack of beer, 1/2 gallon of regular vodka, liter of lemon vodka and a liter of berry vodka. It will probably last 2-3 days and we are drinking 4 days.

I'm so sorry slenle. I think you're great, btw. jewels - Colin usually falls asleep after 9 and wakes up sometime after 6, so I'd guess 9.5-10 hours at night. He still gets a good hour nap most days at school and about 1/2 hour most weekend afternoons. I think we're going to need to start getting him down sooner once school starts (in just a few weeks) since weekday naps will no longer be a thing. |

At the mall waiting for C's new phone to finish setting up. They never contacted us yesterday to let us know it arrived. They said it just came in this morning. I wanted to say why didn't you call this morning then. But it's not my phone just my account.

C had a fever before so I took him to the pediatrician. He has his first EI. I’m hoping this is the cause of his non-sleeping and that we will be back on track soon.
