Morning! I just got the oldest off the the first day of third grade!! I’m going to go to the gym to run and then I’ll do BBM around lunch time. The other two boys have their last days of swim lessons today. It’s starting to feel like summer is really over! (I mean, besides it being 115)

This is me.  I took that day off last week to get shit done.  I still didn't get everything done that I wanted to and my in laws kept the kids Saturday night and I didn't finish during that time either.

Atticus made me cry this morning. He's a demon before school everyday, but at night he's an absolute angel. It's stressing me out to no end and leaves me feeling so yucky all day.

I think so? He's getting 10-11 hours at night, and a nap two or three times a week.

This is what I was going to ask. We pushed up Cs bedtime by 30mins because he was having accidents and the GD girls recommended it. It’s helped his morning mood a lot and he stopped wetting the bed.

ETA: I saw your post above. With the extra half C is getting 11.5 a night. He naps 1-2 times a week.

I’m so sorry. I had a rough few days with ds just before vacation, he made me cry a lot. He could probably sense that I was stressed out and not completely ‘there’ 100%. He’s been the sweetest since we took off. Might seem counterintuitive, by maybe plan a small date just the two of you if possible and ask him then why he’s so difficult in the morning?

Hmmm. I could try it. They're getting up so early, I'm nervous it could push their wake up time to something really ungodly.

It’s not really house cleaning stuff, it’s little errands and things to do around the house. Basically, I need an assistant that does things exactly like I do them.

Also, maybe this is an UO but I love cleaning my own house, I’m not opposed to getting a fall/spring deep cleaning done because ain’t nobody got time for baseboards, walls, windows etc, and have been looking into it for this year.

Is he staying asleep all night? For awhile LO would get up, read or play quietly for an hour or so then go back to bed. We only discovered it when i had to get up early for work. He was cranky the mornings he did this.

He definitely needs A LOT of attention, but we really do our best with that. Pete makes sure to build Legos, he still gets his campouts with us every weekend, I recently took him to the fair for a mom date, etc.

I do think in some ways it's a cry for attention, but with three kids, we do all we can to make sure he gets one-on-one time.

It's possible, but I don't think he could get out of bed without us knowing. We still use a monitor, and I peek at it a few times each night when I wake up to pee.

OK, we ask this every so often, and the sleep talk has me wondering - approximately how much sleep are your N13ers getting these days? I know most of ours don't nap anymore...
Unfortunately, S mostly gave up his naps AND started waking earlier. So we are getting way less sleep but pushing his bedtime up doesn't help.

These days, he's in bed either reading, watching ipad or playing quietly by about 8:15, lights out by about 8:45, rarely asleep before 9, usually between 9 & 9:20
He wakes anywhere from 6 - 7:30, but on average I'd say 6:30-6:45.

That's 9.5 hours and doesn't seem enough.

He naps on school days, but not always. Only naps on the weekends if he's sick or we have a long car ride.
