clementine , currently sitting next to me in a puddle of her own drool/snot. Chewing on things that aren't meant to be chewed on. Lol. But really mostly she is great! She is rolling all over the place, sitting up, babbling, letting me sleep for the most part. No longer destroying my nipples... though I fear what will come when she gets teeth. Overall she is very happy How is your little guy? Aww, glad to hear she’s doing well! And sitting up! We’re working toward that, but not quite there yet. L is doing great! Sick now, so I feel you on the snot and drool, but he’s as happy as ever! I’m a little nervous for teeth as well, especially since he’s already sometimes clamping down while nursing and it hurts even without teeth! I am really hoping the snot is teething related and not her getting sick. Do not want that. She went from not sitting at all to sitting amazingly in like a day. We were like, oh shouldn't she be hitting that milestone about now? Let's try sitting her up... not to shabby. Next day she was a pro.

calendula I think one on one time sounds awesome! How hard it must be to be a 6 yr old trying to navigate the world. And i t must break your poor mama heart. I'm not looking forward to this stage one day. Digging potatoes sounds perfect for a little boy It really does. The social stuff is the worst. We went to a cookout last weekend and he didn't know any of the kids there. He tried to play baseball with two boys but then accidentally threw the ball over the fence, which they weren't nice about, so he felt sad and decided to explore the treehouse in the yard. But then climbed up and got too scared to climb down. I had to climb up there to help him down. He acted out and was fresh to us the rest of the day...but eventually the attitude broke and he just sobbed when we got home. It is easily the hardest, most helpless feeling I've had as a parent. I want him to be 3 again when he was innocent, happy go lucky and cheerful all the time.

mrsmonogrammed happy belated birthday. hope it was a good one nuggetrn👋 can’t believe you have a sitting babe! calendula one on one time sounds like a great idea. that made me tear up reading it. i have so much anxiety about the next stages of parenting just catching up. my mom came and watched dd2 while i took dd1 to the library. it has been a couple of months since we have had our own time together and it was so nice. the girls have decided to take turns napping so i’ve been in nap jail all afternoon. i did manage to get a few chunks of time to myself though. h is working late so i’m just trying to get dinner ready to go before i have to wake dd1 up. i don’t want to but i know bedtime will be a nightmare if i don’t .

calendula one on one time sounds like a good idea. My older DS is getting close to your son’s age and I am not looking forward to some of that stuff. He already asks tough questions and I always worry about him socially. I struggled with social things a lot of my life and I don’t want DS1 to have the same difficulties.

H and I are going on our first date tonight since L was born. It’s our anniversary next week, we just hit a big milestone in paying off our mortgage, and H hit a big milestone at work this week, so we have lots to celebrate. A friend of ours is babysitting. I’m so excited! We’re just going out to dinner and then to an arcade bar. This was the night we had planned for our last date pre-baby, but L showed up the day before so we never got to go.

I’m going to be away from the baby for over 5 Hours today and then all day pretty much tomorrow. She isn’t a fan of the bottle and I have all the anxiety. I know it will probably be fine, but we have had no luck as of late. 😥

Same, woodenshoes, same. I try not to project that on to him but it breaks my heart a little extra to see him struggle with it. I had so hoped he would inherit my husband's confidence. clementine, what a great milestone indeed! Enjoy that date! ArielMermaid, she will be fine and so will you! Try to enjoy the wedding. Are you going with YH? Or solo?

The last few weeks have been fucking rough. DS is having a hard time and having a lot of new behaviours. E is a velcro baby and has serious fomo. And her poor tummy is so sensitive that she seems uncomfortable more often than not. I am tired and I just want to run away.
Also considering switching to formula because the guilt of accidentally eating something that causes her pain is torture.

nuggetrn good to see you! I'm sorry to say that DS's bottom teeth have taken me right back to those first days of nipple soreness. He really chowed down the one time and it took several days to feel normal again. Hugs to your DS calendulaclementine you asked about camping. It was fun! Family tradition is we get rained on. 🙄 But we just expect it and plan for it. DS had a rough night the first night but after that it went as good as can be expected. I wonder if DS's teeth are bothering him because since we got back his night and maps are all messed up. I had to work yesterday afternoon and then make food for a picnic in the evening, but this morning I got to sleep in and I've been relaxing today. I have tons to clean up and organize before my brothers come in ten days so I should find some motivation.

Welcome back nuggetrn! I was actually thinking of you the other day. How is it only Friday? I feel like it should be at least Saturday. I’m surviving being on my own...but I think DH owes me big time for letting him go to gencon. 5 days with both the kids by myself is too much.

I went out to eat with some old coworkers today and E dat in a highchair. What? How is she so big? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ She did awesome though. I ended up nursing her in the restaurant which went pretty painlessly and I was pleased. Small win for the night before my 12 hr shift tomorrow which I am dreading.

Are you going with YH? Or solo? MH is coming to the reception for a bit. Mostly just to bring me the baby so I can at least nurse her once. She only took one ounce of milk from my mom in five hours yesterday. Today she will have to take three bottles. 😬 In other news, the other flower girl is also sick! Throwing up. I don’t think this wedding will have any flower girls at all now. It’s crazy these kids are sick with two different things.

J has his 4 month appointment Monday, after that I think I'll leave the kids with DH and go out by myself for a little while.

I am stuck in a car all day today. We are traveling to the ILs in Iowa. It is about a 12 hour drive. We hope to make it my SILs house which is a little closer (about 9 hours). DS1 lost his video privelages for the day by misbehaving at swim lessons. If things get out of hand I may have to think of away for him to earn it back. DS2 is sleeping now but will likely scream when he is not sleeping.

How’s it going ArielMermaid? Hope the baby has been doing okay! Baby didn’t take much bottle but I guess she was a Dream otherwise. It only would have been a better day if DD1 could flower girl like she was supposed to. The bride was lovely. It was awesome. I’m so glad.

L decided to wake up for 2 hours last night. This is the first time he has very done this. He wasn't crying, just wide awake. The night before it took him 2 hours to go to bed but I think he was overtired (again not crying). My husband was trying to get me to reswaddle him (we have both arms out).
Start of the 4 month sleep regression?

ArielMermaid glad the day went as well as it could! I know you were probably worrying about your girl all day, but I hope you were able to enjoy some of that blessed kid free time too. Weddings are so much more fun without kids 😉

Poking my head in. stardust84, my little guy has been awake for about 2 hours in the MOTN a couple of times this week. He turned 4 months last Monday. No crying or fussing after being fed, burped, and changed. Lots of cooing and giggling, though. He does wake up 2-3 times during the night to feed, but usually goes back to sleep without too much difficulty.
