Amazing cagoldi . Your hair looks good, but I'm so impressed you made the effort to go full glamazon! jewels I'm partial to navy pants for a more dressy look. I've bought theseshoes for M every spring/summer for the past three years for church and other dressy occasions. I love them on him. I hope they never stop making them. They come in toddler and big boys and other colors, too. yummeecookee B is so darn cute! Her eyes are beautiful! Those shoes are adorable, thank you! I am saving that link for once I find an outfit!

I was just talking to a friend of mine who is in early education and she said she felt emotional readiness was even more important than educational readiness. So it sounds like maybe you are making the right choice. These decisions are so hard. I also don't understand why there isn't a universal cut off. I feel like a broken record with this, but I do think if we start her too early and she struggles emotionally, we could be looking at years of hatred and frustration at school. I also think, as a former teacher, it was always easier to take a more advanced child and give them a curriculum to challenge them, but far more difficult to take a kid who is struggling and get them to "keep up. ( academically or emotionally) Our district is also ridiculously small, so I would hope that the individual attention will be there, if we were to either start her earlier or start her at 5.5 where she MIGHT be a little bored with the material. I know you are struggling with this, but I think it's the right call, an extra year of play and be a kid is great. Just pretend you live in another state where it's not an option with a November bday to start😉

And thanks for the options on clothes. I will have to go shopping! And thanks for the reminder about shoes @yummeecookie! Right now both boys only have sneakers or sandals, nothing nicer! If you want Sperry boat shoes for the boys (I think yummeecookee suggested them), I have recently realized that DSW is the place to buy them! They are $10-15 cheaper than Zappos, department stores, etc. I just ordered C her first pair of Sperry's and they were $15 cheaper at DSW than at Dillards. eta: I love the ones lahdeedah posted, too--B had those last summer and they were so cute.

I guess you could say Dude is tired of the heat, because he told me that he wants The Grinch to come and steal summer.
He also asked if we could move to Neptune.

My parents are keeping the kiddos tonight so DH and I can go out for dinner and drinks. I should probably shower at some point Dad currently has B out playing putt-putt for the 2nd time this weekend. Earlier the guys spread mulch and then fished off the dock (B caught two small-mouth bass) while we let C play in a little wading pool, and we've also played tag up and down the hills in the backyard. The kids should be worn out tonight so I'm hoping C will go down easily--I'm sure b/c it's Nana she'll be a dream

M2 has a double ear infection. This makes #5 for him. Doc says he's about to the age where he should "grow out of it", but I'm not hopeful. Anytime he has a cold it is usually accompanied by an EI. If he gets one more this year, I'll be asking for tubes. That's what my pedi said and I went around him. He had an ear infection at our consultation, one between that and surgery and his ears were red and nasty/border line infected the day of surgery.. Trust your gut.

So.... has anyone here had a tummy tuck? Or done coolsculpting? Or anything else? My stomach is relatively flat, and my skin bounced back pretty well, but when I sit or lean over I hate how saggy it looks. And no matter how hard I workout I can’t seem to loose the muffin top. Would coolsculpting help both of those problem or would I need to do something more extreme?? I’m not going to do anything until I’m done bf, but it’s been on my mind a lot lately.

B looks adorable, yummeecookee . wedding I'm sorry about your brother. Was his last breakdown related to the divorce? It's hard to watch parents and siblings struggle like that. Hoping he will start feeling better soon. It was a bit before that shit went down. He stopped visiting and was really angry and wrote a horrible email to my parents blaming them for everything wrong in his life. We (mom, dad, and I) weren't even speaking to him at the time he got kicked out and he basically moved to my parents basement for 6 months. After moving out of my parents he started to decompensate and then attempted suicide. It was a horrible horrible time for all of us and we are on edge worried about him now. Long story short we found out he has serious debt (again, they had 50k in debt when they divorced). My parents are paying for a bankruptcy lawyer but we are very worried about his mental health. He is on meds and sees someone but last time he visited he didn't get dressed until 4pm and was very distant. He and his boys are sleeping over my house in a couple of weeks so I am going to assess the situation then.

Not me personally, but a good friend of mine had one after her 4th child was born (she had a single, twins, and then one more). She's tall and trim, but your complaint was kind of hers, too--that no matter how much she worked out, she still had that extra skin and kind of a roll from the twin pregnancy. She looks fantastic and as far as I know, she hasn't had any problems, and it's been at least 5 or 6 years since she had it done.

I've considered it, but my mom swears my skin will go back after about a year. We'll see. If I did Coolsculpting, I would do it on my inner thighs because those just seem to want to stay flabby no matter what I do. I'm sure I have fat to lose on my stomach, but I need to work harder on that before I concede it's time for surgery. I think if I did get my fat sucked, I'd probably need a tummy tuck. I'm not ruling it out. They do free consultations pretty much everywhere, so you could schedule one and see what they think about how much fat there is vs. extra skin.

I'm sorry about M2's recurring EI's lahdeedah. Sounds like tubes might be the way to go assuming they continue to be a problem. It's such an easy procedure (in my experience, anyway) that I'd much rather that than deal with the constant EIs/illnesses/absences from school, etc, esp. as he gets older.

I made a new mom friend this week. The little boy was in T’s class last year and she has a baby a few weeks younger than C. We met at the park last week where the boys knew each other and she invited us to her pool today. The weather wasn’t good though so we met back at the park. Of course she’s leaving for Bangladesh next week for 4 months.
