Ultimate goal: to feel like *me* before getting knocked up
This week's goal: Few days of yoga, few days of outside exercise, 10,000+ steps every day
How are you doing so far? Made my step goal yesterday
Why are you working towards this goal? So I can have one last month of not feeling gross before IVF/PG
What are your obstacles towards reaching your goal? H is OOT until Sept so I can only workout at home while DS is napping or drag him along on walks in the blazing sun. It's not easy, but I made it work last week and DS has been enjoying the after dinner walks as long as there's a playground involved.

charliefox That's awesome! Good for you! I'm contemplating putting my step counter back on too...you might give me the motivation.

Ultimate goal: lose 30 lbs (15 is fine but I'm making 30 my goal).
This week's goal: workout every day and keep the food intake to a minimum. I lost 2 lbs in 2 days last week but stopped weighing myself when the bleeding started again. I'm waiting until the bleeding stops to weigh myself again.
How are you doing so far? OK. I had to stop working out after the D&C because of all the bleeding but it started slowing down yesterday so I worked out yesterday and today. DD is being good about letting me get about 25 minutes in a day.
Why are you working towards this goal? I just need to feel like myself. The weight is a constant reminder of our 2 losses this year and how unhappy and depressed I've been. Plus I've been the same height and weight since I was 13...so I am not buying a new wardrobe. I just have to be serious about it.
What are your obstacles towards reaching your goal? I am on my own with DD so I have to workout with her while trying to entertain her all day. Also I'm stressing about whether to start TFAS again in September. If we do I'm going to keep up with my workouts etc and if it happens it happens but I'm not making it the center of my universe again. My goal is to get back to me.

Ultimate goal: Lose 130+ lbs
This week's goal: Lose 2lbs
How are you doing so far? I'm actually doing really well. I'm down about 15 from when I started, clothes are fitting better, and I have a shitload of energy now. I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and he was really, really pleased with my weight loss so far.
Why are you working towards this goal? Mental health reasons, reducing arthritis pain in my knees and hip, longevity, hopefully losing weight will make it easier to get pregnant.
What are your obstacles towards reaching your goal? I don't actually think I have any major obstacles at the moment. I've found ways to exercise almost daily in spite of the arthritis pain in my knees (yay for swimming!) and my DH is supportive as hell. I think the only thing I need to do is just working on my willpower.

Ultimate goal: Lose 25 more lbs
This week's goal: -2 lbs
How are you doing so far? I gained a lb last week but am down 4 this week for a total of 27lbs since I started WW 3 months ago. I'm really happy with my progress so far. And I haven't started an exercise plan yet so hopefully that helps a lot when I do.
Why are you working towards this goal? I want to feel more comfortable in my body. Also, if I am able to get pregnant again I want to be healthier and hopefully only gain 20 lbs versus the 50lbs I normally gain.
What are your obstacles towards reaching your goal? We are in the process of building a house so we have been running around every weekend trying to pick out stuff and researching brands/styles/colors of different things and I find it really hard to eat healthy when I'm not at home or work. I've found some things I can have but when DH and DD get fries and a shake my willpower is definitely tested.

radiantfate That's awesome! I agree about the will power thing. I always find that the hardest. sarahh 27 lbs is amazing!!! I'm so impressed with you guys. I think being benched is helping somewhat with will power. When TTC it's so easy to say "well hopefully I'll be pregnant soon so this or that won't hurt...". I'm hoping to get rid of everything I want before making a final decision on TFAS again...otherwise I'll just sabotage myself.

sarahh can you tell me a bit about the current WW program? It's been over a decade since I was a member and my doctor highly recommends it, especially with DH's current health issues, which are weight-related, so we're considering it. I'm mostly concerned because I'm a vegetarian so I worry there won't be enough options. Also congrats on 27lbs! That's great! How long have you been on WW?

sammysam I hear you on willpower while TTC. I've been telling myself for almost 2 years now "Well what does it matter if I get pregnant this month?" Then, I read something over the weekend that said even if you're trying to lose weight prior to pregnancy, treat your body as if you're already pregnant (e.g. feed it good foods, lots of water, adequate rest). That's been hanging on in the back of my mind since then.

sarahh can you tell me a bit about the current WW program? It's been over a decade since I was a member and my doctor highly recommends it, especially with DH's current health issues, which are weight-related, so we're considering it. I'm mostly concerned because I'm a vegetarian so I worry there won't be enough options. Also congrats on 27lbs! That's great! How long have you been on WW? I'm a vegetarian too! I started it knowing nothing about WW and just did the online version because it would be hard for me to make it to meetings with my work schedule. There are a lot of 0 point foods like eggs, fruit and vegetables and tofu and some beans. The caveat to that is if you have any of these things prepared in a restaurant it is most likely more than 0 points because they most likely use butter or milk or whatever. There is a way to search on the app for the menu items at specific restaurants though. You will start at a certain number of daily points based on your weight and goals and you also get a weekly bank of additional points to use if you go over in a few days. The hardest thing for me initially was to make my portions smaller and eat less processed carbs. I can still have carbs but they will cost you more points. My favorite meal right now is a salad from Chipotle with black beans, sofritas, pico and corn. And I eat that with baked tostitos and that's 8 pts. If you like mexican food, there are some easy low point meals. I could eat mexican every day so that's good for me. Let me know if you have any other questions! I have really been pleasantly surprised with WW and like the app for tracking food and holding myself accountable.

Thanks sarahh! That sounds very similar to the program when I was on it 10 years ago, but with the addition of new 0 point foods. I too could eat mexican food every day so that's good to know!! Thanks so much! I'll let you know if we join
