DD crawled out of her crib for the first time last night so we are going to prepare to put her in her toddler bed when we get back from the mountains on sunday night. Pray for us.
One positive I've thought of so far is that we don't have to get another crib? That's the only positive I have thought of so far.

pippiann, I was hoping we would make it to at least 2 in the crib but she'll be 23 months tomorrow so we didn't quite make it. She crawled out of a pack 'n play over memorial day so I should have known the crib was coming.

pippiann, I hope so! I bought her some puppy sheets for the new bed since she's obsessed with puppies so maybe that will help.

We transitioned DD1 around 2 years after DD2 had slept in a PNP in our room for 6 months. I am terrified to transition DD2, she will be 2 when baby comes but she is a terrible sleeper.

It worked and now she's stuck in there for good!

amesie, ours is the same height on both sides and doesn't move. I'm not sure how she got her leg up over the side to fall out but she figured it out I guess.

My 22 month old still sleeps in a sleep sack and in his crib. He sleeps 11/12 hour a night so whyyyy would we change anything? Wife really wants to give him a blanket instead of his sleep sack but I don't see the point if he's sleeping so well. In other news, I'm thinking about going to McDonalds for a salad for lunch annnnd a side of fries. I'm actually hungry today.

Of course by the time I'm actually able to eat that doesn't sound at all appealing. So I got a tuna wrap from the cafe downstairs.

We moved both of our kids to beds on the "early" side. DS was around 21 months and DD around 18m. I'm happy with the transistions and it worked well for us. I'm sure #3 will be completely different as they are in so many other ways haha!
I saw my dr for the first time for this pregnancy today! (Last week I saw her for DD's 2 year appt when I told her I was pregnant and she gave me the paperwork for an ultrasound and bloodwork)
She was happy with my ultrasound and my blood work came back great, and she gave me an official due date of January 16! Just one day earlier than I had been going by.

If you really wanted to stick to the crib, I've heard of people taking the mattress support out of the crib, so the mattress is just on the floor inside the... Sides? Don't know if that will work. My almost 23 month old climbs everything. EVERYTHING. But for some reason hasn't tried to climb out of her crib. I have no idea why. She's resourceful, moving chairs and stuff, one of those kids who would open drawers to climb to the top of a dresser (yes our furniture is secured). But for some reason still believes she's trapped in the crib. I'll take it.

There aren't any weird first trimester rashes that anyone knows about, are there? I'm pretty sure I have heat rash, but want to make sure I shouldn't be calling my OB. I think it's fine...

Where's the rash? I ask because I had a friend get it on her hands and feet and it ended up being a liver thing. But that was 3rd tri..I'm not sure when it can start. But it is dangerous (not to frighten you..but to be aware if that's the case) Otherwise, there is PUPPPs which is the actual worst too (from experience), but that shouldn't be until late in the third or post partum either when your skin is all stretched out. It's horribly uncomfortable, but not dangerous to you or the baby.

I bought the size 4/5 ones from the website. My mom thought I was crazy, but he slept so well as long as he was warm. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

My 2.5 year old hasn't tried to climb out, but she's getting evicted after her half brother and sister go back home to their mom mid July. I'm redecorating their room to be my DD's and keeping the nursery the same. We only get them here for 2 weeks in the summer, we go to them the other times during the year. I'd be changing their room either way, but I don't have the heart to change the nursery yet. My mom helped me decorate it and she passed away in January.
DD sleeps in a toddler bed at both grandparents, and she doesn't get out until we tell her - which is awesome. I hope it stays that way when we move her to the twin.

I've heard of cholestasis (I think that's what it is) and PUPPPs, but yeah, thought those generally presented in the third trimester. The rash is all over my arms, chest, upper back, and on my knees? And the back of my hands. I've been outside a fair amount in the last few days, so heat rash makes sense. Was just making sure no one knew something crazy I didn't. Thanks for your response!
