sunfrogger I have an excersaucer, sit me up and pack and play. We only use the mat for the play gym because he likes to crawl around and doesn’t lay on his back much. Based on what I saw on IG today, we have the same high chair as you. 😊

sunfrogger, We have put away the swing and RnP. We still have out the PnP (it has a nice diaper changing station we still use) in our living room, play mat, the sit me up and a new bouncer/exersaucer. I've debated moving the PnP to the formal living room to create some more space but I can't make up my mind. As she is getting more mobile the play mat is about ready to be put away but she does like the toys and it is easy to fold that up out of the way.

ajetter our doctor said to do meats within the first month or two, but start with vegetables. So we’ll probably start around 7 months. I can definitely see doing it now to help gain weight.

ajetter, V's first meat will likely be something like ground beef or pork, really crumbled up. We're doing mostly BLW right now but we'll do some purees at some point, but def not pureed meat. I can't bring myself to make that. I don't remember how old DS was when he had meat for the first time but he loved it. As for baby gear, we put away the RNP and swing. I just set up the pnp in our room since we can't leave her sitting on the bed anymore. She's not really down with the sitmeup anymore either. Oh and I put away the play mat. We have the exersaucer and jumperoo out though. It's kind of nice getting rid of some of the big stuff (swing) even though other big stuff is replacing it.

👋 hello! Things seem very hard right now so I’ve been hibernating. Things already sucked and then I was got mastitis today so I’m just loving life! I forgot how awful this is. pinkcat what you described sounds perfect. I need to make that happen once I’m feeling better and we come home from an upcoming trip. I’ll be asking you for advice!

V is getting into eating, too. We've done banana, avocado and sweet potato this week. She really is interested in picking it up and tasting it and feeling it in her mouth. I think 99% of it is coming back out but she'll get the hang of it!

Oh no, I'm so sorry about the mastitis...I hope you get better soon!! How hard especially with 3 little ones and being back at work 😭 how is everything else going besides that?? And thank you so much, that is so sweet and made me feel so nice on a week when I was doubting myself a lot! His bedtime routine needs work since we still let him fall asleep downstairs with DH for a bit while I go up to bed but I'm glad we have naps figured out. One thing at a time I guess 😁

sunfrogger We need to put away our RnP after she sat up in it the other day. We still have our PnP for the changing station and baby jail and her jumperoo out. I need to figure out another containment device for in the bathroom while I shower. She likes to hang out while I get ready.

Question. Who is feeding baby puréed meats? Both the pediatrician and the nurses at the breastfeeding clinic recommended I start with avocado, then move to meats. I’m trying not to vomit. We didn’t introduce meat with our others until 8 or 9 months when we gave them the real deal. But we need Arden to start gaining weight and they said veggies aren’t going to do it. 😬 We did puréed meats & avocado for DD for the same reason. To fatten her up lol. I mixed it with veggies but ya that shit is naaasty. I quit as soon as I could give her real meat.

sunfrogger we only have the excersaicer/jumper thing. He sleeps in the PNP at night otherwise. He is a rolling machine so doesn’t need much to enjoy himself lol put him in the middle of the floor and he’s good. Also have the high chair in the kitchen but we mainly just use that during meals.

ajetter. We just started meats (almost 7 months). I pair them with a veggie like I would my own meal. I just think of it like canned tuna so I don't get grossed out. We never did straight meats with DS1, just the meals. Would they be ok with like the chicken noodle 2nd stage? I think they sound a bit more appealing.

I’ll have to ask for more ideas at our next weight check. Right now they were pretty adamant about one food every four days to watch for allergies. I know we sort of did that what the other girls but were super hardcore about it.

We have our the sit me up, infant to toddler rocker, exersaucer, pack n play and the kick piano. They’re all in different rooms and are used mainly as containment devices for when my hands are full or I’m trying to do something.
Swing and mini crib are put away until I sell them.

So we have:
Swing Play mat Jumperoo Pack and play Bouncer (came w pnp but I keep it separate). RnP Sit me up
All of this ^^ except the last three are in my family room. Honestly, I really didn't even use the PnP with my big. I was thinking about packing it up and just keeping it accessible in my laundry room so it's not taking up real estate. We want to get a desk for working from home so we need to find somewhere to put it. 1600 sq feet felt so big when we bought and now it feels so small!!!!!
Olivia LOVES her Jumperoo. And she still naps in the swing for me. The RnP is under my bed but I'm thinking I can put it away, same with the play mat. I was using the bouncer in the kitchen but I'll just drag the highchair between the kitchen and table for her. I just don't like walking away from her while she's in the high chair. I felt OK with that in the bouncer.
My house doesn't have any lines of sight so.

We live in our living room and master bedroom so that is where all the gear is. So no matter how big the house is the baby gear ends up where you spend all of your time and then it looks like Buy Buy Baby threw up in the space.

kbw in theory I’d think not, but so far she doesn’t have a ton of I Teresa in solids. Like looks at us like we are bat shit crazy if we hold up our food to her mouth. She’s handling avocado ok, but I’m a little scared to jump straight to chewing up meat. I bought a jar of baby food chicken. My mom tasted it and said really it tastes fine. It’s just the texture is weird. And Arden has cried both times we’ve tried to feed it to her. 🤷🏼♀️
