It's my baby's birthday today!! Except he's two now, so I guess really, really not a baby anymore. We took him to the zoo this morning, which of course he loved. He's now taking an awesome nap, and later on family is coming over for pizza and cake - yummmm!

Taitai , it's my kid's mission in life to drink all the water in his bath every night. I don't even want to think about how much soap/bubble bath he's ingested. +1

Oh thank god....my silence led them to state they will stay at her parents to not disrupt the kids and the dog tonight since it's around their bedtime.
Still means they will be there when we are at work tomorrow but at least maybe that means they will have camper set up by the time I'm home tomorrow.

Last night I narrowly evaded a squirrel attack. It was pouring rain. I left L in the car, grabbed the car seat and ran up the stairs only to find a squirrel on my porch. I thought that sucker was gonna pounce on my face. I moved to the side and he ran down. Dropped the car seat on the porch and went back for L. Only to have him not want to get out. I was drenched by the time I made it into the house. This week has had some fun evenings. Seriously. This morning I looked at L and could not remember the last night I bathed him. So I got the baby wipes and wiped him down. That's my fffc. Fyi, I did bathe the baby last night. I can't keep track of who, when, days, etc. Squirrels are such assholes.

Today is an odd day. It's just feels off. We slept in late, but naptime still happened on time. Growth spurts? For all three of them?

My kid is still sick but at least seems to not have a fever today. Thank goodness my mom came in town to keep him because I feel like I can't miss a whole week of work!
He hasn't eaten more than a few bites and several pouches a day since Monday morning. He's usually a great eater, but he's still drinking plenty of fluids. Would y'all worry about him not really eating?

Would y'all worry about him not really eating? Sounds like he's getting something & he's getting the necessary fluids. Now that his fever is gone maybe his appetite will return. You can call your pedi for more info. I've called and asked when should I start worrying type of question.

Would y'all worry about him not really eating? As long as he's drinking plenty and continuing to have a normal amount of wet diapers, and is acting normally I wouldn't worry too much. You definately should not hesitate to call your pediatrician though if you have any concerns!

Bluebird, add me to the I wouldn't worry as long as he's getting fluids/not dehydrated. DS never has an appetite when he's sick - in fact normally I can tell a cold is coming because he loses his appetite. For us it always returns with a vengeance once he's feeling better, so if the fever has broken hopefully he's on the mend and back to eating soon. Whenever I start to freak out about his eating I always remind myself that he's not going to let himself starve to death - he knows what he needs.

Thanks all! He really perked up this evening and ate a few bites of dinner, so I think he is finally on the mend. I'll definitely call the pedi back tomorrow if he regresses at all though.

jillywilly Happy Birthday to your DS! Bluebird Sorry to hear your kid is sick. DS also stops eating when he is coming down with something. We just push fluids, and he will eventually start eating again once he's feeling better. DS is also normally a good eater and the loss of appetite normally doesn't last more than a few days. Hope he continues to improve!
