Since I'm up listening to a toddler scream anyway, may as well start this.

WTF DS(3). It's 4am and he's screaming bloody murder about needing to go potty. DH and I have both taken him potty with no results. I'm fairly certain it's just for attention because he knows we will come if he says he needs to go, but this has been going on for 3 hours now. On the plus side I am amazed that V(15m) has slept through all this.
ETA: He's used this excuse to delay bedtime for hours before without ever actually going pee, so that's why I'm thinking it's attention.

Morning! I'm up and DS is still snoozing away. He did refuse to nap yesterday, so I'm just glad he's getting a good night's sleep.
I think we might just explore our neighborhood some more today since my car is still in the shop.

GM! E slept for 11 hours last night. It's a nice change from the 830-530 she's got going on.
And she even peed on the potty this morning. I'm super shocked. We ask every day as part of a routine and today I put her on and she peed right away. We're super early but I'll take it!

ugh...my in laws who said they would be here late Friday night.....texted me this morning that ETA is 8pm tonight.
Stop always getting here early.
I haven't prepped the kids (first time meeting H's dad) and that is around when they are trying to go to bed.
I also needed tonight to get things done before they got here tomorrow...like the fact they need a bedroom for a night and then they are setting up camper. Still need to work on the bedroom/store room....

Pretty standard day here - DS had swimming lessons and did really well for the most part. He used to HATE swimming on his back and kicking, but now he's okay with it. So progress!
The one bad thing about swimming lessons is that he drinks so.much.pool.water. Like, he does it on purpose even though we tell him not to. No joke, he went pee on the potty 7 times between 3pm and bedtime. The volume was impressive. Jeeze kid, how did you even fit that much water into your belly?
Toddlers....

DH and I got into an argument about the way I hang up the dog leash after my morning run, so I told him he could get up early and walk the dog and hang up the leash himself. This morning I get to run dogless!

Oh man, that is the worst. I get annoyed when MIL shows up 30 min early on the days she comes to play with DS. I can only imagine being in your situation. Hopefully it goes well!

butlerfan, sorry about the rude in laws. Do the best you can and if they complain then it's their own damn fault cinnamon, I would probably ignore, but I'm pretty heartless when it comes to MOTN shenanigans billyhorrible, i'm trying to figure out how many ways to hang up a leash that there could be a wrong way to do it. I get it though, mh is anal about organization and sometimes I dngaf.

All this walking lately is making me realize just how out of shape I am! At least DS had fun--we checked out a fishing pier that just opened down the street from us and ran around at our local playground for a while. I'm crossing all the things that he actually naps today.

DD slept in until 8 and it was amazing. Since she's been up though she has been a clingy asshole. So much whining and mini tantrums already today if god forbid I didn't hold her in my lap instead of drink my coffee. She's finally playing independently so I'm sitting on the couch pretending not to exist to keep her momentum away from me.
Not sure if we'll do anything today. Maybe the pool after nap?

Good Morning!
This morning when I got out of the shower I could hear DS1 crying on the monitor. I think it was a bad dream because it was 4:45 and he's never up that early. I get dressed and go into his room and he's sitting on the edge of his bed and when he sees me he says "Hi sweetheart!" and then jumps down and runs towards the door. I tell him it's not time to get up yet, so then he asks me for snuggles, and I can't say no to that. We snuggled while I sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow to him per his request. I ended up being a few minutes late to work, but it was worth it. That kid melts my heart when he's not being an asshole 3 year old.

I woke up really tired this morning when the toddler got out of his bed. I must have dozed off again because I heard the baby crying, then the toddler run into her room and say "it's ok Ellie! It's ok!" I was super proud because it is one of the first times he's ever acknowledged her. Then he ran into my room and says "mommy! I pooped on the kitchen floor! It's a BIGGGG one!!" Lol.

It's pizza party day at daycare so I didn't have to pack lunches. It only takes a few minutes in the evening but it's just glorious when I don't have to do it.

In fighting a strong willed 19 month old to take a nap. She fell asleep for 5 minutes in the car today so of course doesn't feel she needs anymore sleep. It is so frustrating. Just sleep so I can get my stuff done!

Just got back from the allergist. We can add tree nuts to the list of things DS is allergic to And DD nonchalantly rolled from back to belly when I put her in her crib last night. She was all "it's nbd, I just roll now." Stop getting so big so fast tiny baby!!!!

elbowmac, Sorry for the allergy test not going so well :/ A cousin of mine just found out that the only nuts she's allergic to are tree nuts. Today. Today is just another day of work. *sigh* Ready for the weekend! That said, we are having BBQ catered for lunch since one of the techs is retiring. Yay free food! Too bad I brought a lunch along because I forgot about free food Lol

Of course then I feel guilty and end up giving him a snack, which he then eat verrrry slowly. Like every bite takes 10 minutes to chew and swallow. He's a master at stalling bedtime.

sheilathetank, when he walks the dog at night he just attaches the leash to the collar. When I run with the dog in the morning I attach the leash to his harness. When I first started running with the dog, he asked if I could take the leash off the harness after my run so he doesn't have to when he walks the dog at 10pm at night. Fine. Then he asked if I could take the leash off the harness, and attach it back to the collar. Fine. Last night it was "can you take the leash off the harness, attach it to the collar, and then hang the harness up before hanging the collar up so the harness is behind the collar and leash." That's when I told him I was done with the game.

I bet even the dog is rolling his eyes at that one.

Last night I narrowly evaded a squirrel attack. It was pouring rain. I left L in the car, grabbed the car seat and ran up the stairs only to find a squirrel on my porch. I thought that sucker was gonna pounce on my face. I moved to the side and he ran down. Dropped the car seat on the porch and went back for L. Only to have him not want to get out. I was drenched by the time I made it into the house. This week has had some fun evenings. Seriously. This morning I looked at L and could not remember the last night I bathed him. So I got the baby wipes and wiped him down. That's my fffc. Fyi, I did bathe the baby last night. I can't keep track of who, when, days, etc.

I found out today that I qualify for FMLA since we are owned by a large parent company. I am so, so happy about this. When I had K it was a whole big to do about my leave and since it was a small company there was no fmla. they ended up laying me off so I could collect something for the time I was out. I eventually want more kids and was nervous going to another small company since my options would be limited. I also found out that CT offers 16 weeks!

Taitai, it's my kid's mission in life to drink all the water in his bath every night. I don't even want to think about how much soap/bubble bath he's ingested.
