Just to get us chatting some more, what are your current plans?
Non medicated, induction, scheduled c-section, home birth, hospital, etc

At this point I am not sure exactly what will happen since I was induced last time due to high blood pressure. (Will have to see if that happens this time or if I continue to have placenta issues)
I would be completely fine with an induction if it comes to that again. I plan on getting an epidural and/or whatever other drugs are available to me.
It will for sure be in a hospital with my Obgyn delivering.

I’ll definitely be doing a hospital birth with my OB (or someone from the practice). Just MH will be there with me.
I’d like to avoid being induced this time, but if it needs to happen again that’s ok. Last time I eventually got an epidural (pitocin was cranked up to 12 so yeah..) but after the epi was administered the baby had a dramatic reaction to the epi, or the combo of the epi + pitocin? I don’t know but we came within a breath of an emergency c-section. So, I’m definitely open to going without an epidural but will get one again if I am miserable.
Trying to keep my expectations very fluid so I’m not disappointed.

charlotteWhy were you induced last time? I am afraid of those things potentially happening to me this time if I need an induction. I know I kind of lucked out last time in that mine was basically uncomplicated.

This birth will be a c-section. Hopefully scheduled and not emergency, but I’m mentally preparing for anything. Only H is permitted in my room or OR.
My last two were inductions and I loved them. It has taken me some time to get over my disappointment which I know is dumb. Stupid placenta.

I was induced last time because my water broke and then...nothing happened. There were some complications but nothing lasting or traumatic. This time I'm hoping for vaginal, hospital, medicated. Beyond that I don't have a lot of preferences, though it'd be nice not to start the process at 11pm like last time.
ETA: only DH allowed. Last time we didn't even alert anyone until the baby was born.

I was induced with DD for high blood pressure - I progressed consistently but VERY slowly, so the whole process was over 30 hours. I had two failed epidurals, and could only lie on my side or else my BP would shoot up. I'm just hoping for an improvement over that experience honestly.
Best case scenario for me would be a hospital birth with a successful epidural. I'm willing to try different pain medications this time around (I refused everything else last time). I even think I'd be perfectly fine with a schedule C section, I would just like an overall more comfortable and quicker experience.

expatmama11We had an IUGR diagnosis earlier in the 3rd tri, so my OB did not want me to go all the way to 40w. I was just monitored closely and induced at 39. After delivery she wasn’t sure whether whether it was actually true IUGR but said that my placenta did not look healthy when she delivered it. My Current OB said he believes any issue with placental insufficiency was likely random so I’m hoping to avoid all of that this time around.

Going in, getting the good drugs, having a C-section.

Last time I was induced because I was about a week and a half late, and after 3 1/2 hours of pushing, wound up with a c-section.
I'll be scheduling a c-section this time for sometime in 39 weeks. My OB has said that if I go into labor on my own before that, she'd be comfortable with me trying to push this baby out again, but I'm basically prepping/planning for the c-section.

Scheduling a c-section, but if I go into labor before I'll try for a VBAC.

I'm a bit up in the air right now until my previa scan next week. If it clears (which midwife said is likely), then my plan is for an unmedicated hospital birth with a midwife and a doula (and MH). My last birth was in a birth center and I was lucky enough to have no issues that required hospital transfer and everything went really well. This time, we moved out of range of the birth center, so I'll be at a hospital, which seems to be very baby-friendly and unmedicated birth-friendly (they have tubs for laboring, wireless monitoring, flexible policies, etc). We'll tell a few people when I go into labor, DD will go to my BFF's house, but no visitors at the hospital till I've had a decent amount of time to recover. Hoping to go home in 24 hours (I was home after 8 hours with DD), but we'll see how it goes. I'd like to avoid an epidural, but am open to the idea if I end up needing pitocin. If the previa does not clear, I'm in the same boat as summerrain

I’m crossing everything that your previa clears up Dramaphile.

Scheduled C-Section for me. Well...hopefully scheduled and not emergency. I am at peace with it though. After my emergency c-section with DS a scheduled one sounds wonderful.

Scheduled CSection for me. I plan to do my hair and makeup prior to my surgery time, show up, get some meds, then be taken to the OR.

Hospital birth. Gimme all the drugs. Will refuse pitocin if it’s brought up.
I went into labor on my own with DD. She was delivered within 12 hours. I’m hoping for the same with this one. They did prepare pitocin, as I stalled around 5cm, but I had a panic attack about it and they backed off. And, in the end, I didn’t need it. I just needed an epidural to work (first one failed; second one was 👍🏻) so that my body could relax and progress. I had tripling and quadrupling contractions with no breaks in between. Effffff that nonsense.
So. Yeah. That’s pretty much it!
ETA: This is the plan if my placenta behaves and moves on up.

Last time I was a few days overdue, I had been dilated to 3 for weeks, and was induced. I got the good drugs and didn't even feel pressure to push until after getting him to flip from sunny side up.
I want hospital, drugs, wouldn't mind being induced again. My ob did say that she'd induce me at 39 weeks if I want because my son was huge and somehow second babies are always larger in our families. Not sure if I want that, but maybe a Halloween baby after all?!

Going in, getting the good drugs, having a C-section. That is the extent of my planzzzzzz. I'm just going to quote this because it is basically my plan as well. Last time my dr was grooving to Motown (which I enjoy) in the OR so I'm hoping for some good music again, lol.

I was induced for both my kids (42 and 41 weeks) so I'd like to go into labour on my own but another induction would be fine.
I like epidurals and am fine with any interventions. I'm delivering at the hospital I work at, which has a level 3 NICU if needed (where I work). If something goes wrong, I want my known and trusted people there!
Otherwise it'll just be h with me.

I will probably be induced at 39 weeks again for this one. I did an unmedicated water birth with DS1 and it was great but it’s not an option in the area I now live in. With DS2 I was induced at 39 weeks and ended up with an epidural and the broke my water for me. I wasn’t thrilled with the epidural or having my water broken at all. I am going to try to go without the epidural this time even if I am induced.
I am hoping my mom will be able to be there for this last birth and she can advocate for me since H has a problem confronting the Dr’s and in general isn’t a great birth coach. He is a great father and he is great for just being there and holding me when I ask him to but in the middle of labor it’s hard to vocalize what I need and he really does need to be told what to do.
