Sounds like there was some interest in the check-in thread on a separate hospital bag thread. Figured I'd get one started!

I also brought my own Advil last time. I really only took for a day but I didn't want to take any medicine they provided in fear they would charge me....lol!

I am thinking of packing my bag a little earlier this time just because of all my appointments and I don't want to get sent straight to the hospital randomly in the next seven weeks.
Last time I didn't wear a hospital gown at all, I labored and delivered in a long tank top/night gown sort of thing so I'll definitely be bringing that again.
I'll bring a few more night gowns, soft nursing bras, yoga pants, a soft robe, and lots of snacks! I think I way over packed last time and will go pretty basic this time since I know what I used last time. I also brought my own pillows which was crucial for me! I sleep pretty propped up and use memory foam so the little sleep I got was much better with my own pillows.

I'll probably set out a designated bag in the next few weeks and add things along the way. I'll keep a list of the last minute things that I use daily on top of the bag so they can be packed before we go.
-already mentioned SNACKS! -chapstick - a full one! - SO necessary!! -things to hold my hair back -slippers or flip flips and comfy socks -I think I brought my own pillows -my own birthing ball this time -travel shampoo/conditioner - I was surprised the hospital didn't have these and MH had to go buy some at the hospital convenience store. -face wash/lotion -toothbrush/toothpaste/my retainer -some lounge clothes for me - may very well just be whatever I wear in there! Since I mostly live in lounge clothes.... -baby's coming home outfit -phone charger -copies of my birth preferences
Also, thank you to whoever brought up this topic! It's been on my To Do list to start a list of things to pack for the hospital, so I'm just gonna copy/paste this list in my other app and go ahead and check that off! List started!

So I started the thread and never put my own thoughts. This is what I brought when I had DS. I'll do a separate post in this thread as I start making my list for DS2's birth. Things packed separately in a hospital bag.Travel sized toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, body lotion, toothpaste) Toothbrushes for MH and I (I bought cheap ones and we just threw them away at the hospital when we left rather than bringing our daily ones from home) Flip flops for the shower Hair brush/comb with extra hair ties Deodorant Boppy pillow - didn't need it in the hospital, but I ended up sitting on it for the ride home. Probably didn't really need it though. Clothing - nursing bras/tanks, underwear, comfy shorts/pants/capris, tshirt, coming home outfit for baby (both NB & 0-3M sizes) with hat, change of clothes and something to sleep in for MH Snacks Cell phone charger Baby book for footprints - unfortunately DS had an early heel prick so we only got one foot. I never got around to re-doing them once we got home Things I packed but never used.Makeup Face wipes - I thought it would be nice to have a way to wash my face without having to actually wash my face, but I never used them. Tissues - the hospital ones were good enough Non-slip socks - the hospital ones were good enough Shower towel - the hospital ones were good enough No-scratch mittens - granted we never ended up using them for DS at any point Deck of cards Water cup w/ straw Ipod and docking station Fancy camera - we just used our cell phones Nursing cover - didn't care about hospital staff seeing me, and I just made family/friends leave the room Additional items regularly in my purse. I double checked they were there and just brought my purse into the hospital.
Drivers License Insurance Card Cash/Change for vending machines/Credit card Inhaler (I have asthma) Chapstick Cell phone

Reviving since I'm hoping to wrap up packing the bag today and since several of you have had babies in the last few weeks.
Did anyone have something you failed to pack and wish you had?

Stuff for MH (I packed the basics, but forgot his slippers and cozy pants). Also did not pack enough underwear, but was here longer than I had anticipated.

Plastic bag or something for dirty clothes, and I wish I’d brought my own bath towel. The hospital’s were tiny.

Some New Beginnings group affiliated with the hospital gave us a nail file as part of their info kit but trying to use that was a joke. Would have loved clippers in the hospital.
