When is your due date? How far along are you? 09/17 ; 32 weeks
How big is baby? Scooter board - I loved playing with those during the fun days in gym class
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Blue
Any Upcoming Appointments? Today - growth scan/placenta check at 1:40, regular OB appt at 2:00
Symptoms: Tired, general discomfort, feeling large
Milestones: 8 weeks left ; I've moved all of the relevant baby stuff up from the basement.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I'm super nervous about the growth scan. It just goes back to hoping everything is ok. I'm also finding myself secretly bitter at all my friends having their little babies and I'm still pregnant and if I hadn't had a miscarriage I'd have a 6 week old by now. It's dumb and I'm keeping it to myself. I just keep reminding myself to be thankful for what I have and that this growth scan will be fine. DD is also becoming very clingy. I think it's a mix of starting school in like two weeks and then the baby arriving. I don't think she realizes the reason(s) but it's definitely noticeable.

ftwr fx your scan goes well today and baby’s growth looks on track. When is your due date? How far along are you? 9/5, 33w5d How big is baby? Cauliflower blossom Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Blue Any Upcoming Appointments? Had my last appointment w my Gd nutritionist and I won’t need to see her again unless my #s go haywire. I did not enjoy either meeting with her and I am so glad to have graduated from her care. I have 2 more appointments w OB before baby arrives, my next one takes place late next week. Symptoms: insomnia, restless legs, body aches, headaches, braxton hicks, feeling huge, he keeps me up all night sometimes from kicking and moving himself. He’s very particular about how I lie at night. Milestones: graduated from my GD nutritionist Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I have all this sudden fear that baby will come early. I’m part of a GD Facebook group which is helpful, but adds to this anxiety bc babies in that group are frequently coming at anywhere from 36-38 weeks.

I can't really remember what all I packed in my hospital bag lol. I think I bought our lap top but I'm definitely leaving that at home this time. I wasn't OTT with toiletries so I'll probably just bring those minimal things but maybe I'll bring some minimalist makeup items this time to help feel more human.
I will also bring protein bars or something like that. Last time someone brought a box of donuts and I remember eating a donut every time I woke MON to pee because I was starving.
I will also only bring one outfit for DS to go home in and as for me, probably just nursing tanks, a chunky cardigan, lounge pants, and a boppy pillow.
As for when........I have no idea lol

Nymeria - MH has been unhelpful in even eliminating names lol So at this point I think I'll just be taking a list of names to the hospital and deciding myself at the hospital what we name him.

ftwr - Hope your scan goes well today. Sorry for the late-PGAL thoughts. They really can show up out of nowhere. It's not dumb and it's totally normal to wonder what-if.
mirabelle - Yay for graduating from the nutritionist!
brenna - I'll start packing my bag in another month or so, so around 36 weeks. But I'll start slowly and really with only the things I definitely won't need (travel-size toiletries, spare toothbrushes, etc). Around 38 weeks I'll add clothes, and if for some reason I want to wear something in the bag I'll take it out, wear it, and immediately wash it and put it back. At that point I'll also make a list of the last-minute items like hair brush, phone charger, etc and keep the list on the bag as a reminder of what I still need to add.

I way overpacked my bag with my first. We are closer to the hospital this time and even closer to Target/Walmart so I’m going with a less is more strategy this time.
-charger -snacks especially for H -phone charger -makeup/toiletries bag (brush, makeup, chapstick, shampoo, conditioner, gentle body soap, hairbinders) -robe w/ good coverage bc I wore this with visitors coming and going ... hoping to find a new one before d-day -debating whether to haul a pump with, possibly manual hospital has electric one should I need it -stretchy coming home outfit for myself -coming home sleeper for baby -car seat -wallet: change for vending machines/i.d.

I'll probably start my bag around 36/37 weeks. I feel like I packed everything I needed last time. I won't need much this time as the average stay at the birth center is like 6-9 hours after delivery. Plus they have boppy pillows, breast friend pillows, and birth balls, amazing blankets and robes, etc. Basically, it will be like a spa. They don't have any food there but have mini fridges and access to the best delivery food services. I'm hoping to bring some wine or champagne, some amazing meat and cheese spreads, and order a sushi burrito after delivery! Lol! brennaI'm so glad I packed slippers last time. Way better than hospital socks.

When is your due date? How far along are you? 10/20 27th week
How big is baby? Bunch of bananas
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Blue
Any Upcoming Appointments? August 7th will begin my every two weeks appointments
Symptoms: baby has definitely moved up and growing! Now it's starting to really hurt to bend over and roll over. I also am feeling pressure up high after eating and when breathing.
Milestones: 3rd Tri!!!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Hung up all the baby clothes and folded the cloth diapers and blankets in the closet. Kind of getting exciting and hitting the nesting stage.

Appointment update: DS is 3lbs 15 oz and looks perfectly healthy. The OB says that's around 25 percentile but that seems low. Everything I've looked at on Dr Internet says 3.75-4 lbs is normal at 32 weeks. My placenta has moved, so no c-section. He said we can talk more about inductions later on and that if an induction is recommended that we'll try to avoid it if I'm not dilating. So that's a relief.
I could see DS's lips and nose which were indicators with DD that she would look like MH. I'm thinking DS will probably look like him too.

Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? When should I start washing baby stuff? I have quite a few things in drawers already, they just need a fresh wash after being stored from DD1.

meggriffin - Do you carry around your 3 year old still? The chiro I saw yesterday mentioned STM+ moms can knock their hips out of alignment carrying their other child(ren) on their hip a lot. Especially if you use the same hip all the time.

I'm just going to try to focus too use alternating sides instead of always propping him on my left hip. I figure switching sides should at least help keep things more even.

Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Blue. I had them double check at my ultrasound last week because of a dream I had. He said that nothing has fallen off 😄
Any Upcoming Appointments? Thursday
Symptoms: nothing really, just tired.
Milestones:
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? We went camping last week and it was a lot of fun, but it rained 2 of the 4 days and DH and I got so sick. I can't believe how much worse it is to be sick while pregnant.

When is your due date? How far along are you? Sept 20th, 31 weeks
How big is baby? Romaine lettuce
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Blue
Any Upcoming Appointments? OB and chiropractor today, had an ultrasound on Monday. I’m also seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist and and osteopath (which I understand are different here in Canada than in the US) this week for my leg pain/hip/sciatica issues. My life is full of appointments.
Symptoms: My sciatica is improving, thank god. Baby moved from transverse to head down in the past week so I think some of the pressure came off the nerve . I’m still in pain and limited in what I can do, but happy it’s getting better.
Milestones: Chugging along.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? My ultrasound on Monday was to watch a potential issue with placental blood flow, I’ll find out the results at my OB appointment today.

When is your due date? How far along are you? 9/19 32 weeks
How big is baby? A Florida pomelo or a squash
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Team Green
Any Upcoming Appointments? OB tomorrow
Symptoms: The usual aches and pains. Mood swings. Some skin discomfort on my belly. Getting a weird occasional pain in my groin, usually on the right side, that is sometimes accompanied by a 'weak' feeling down my leg. Baby's movements have been more and more uncomfortable recently - lots of those big stretches with something pushing out one side while something else pushes into the inside of my hip bone! Ahh - stop that!
Milestones:
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Has anyone tried any of the things that can help prevent testing positive for GBS? I was positive with DS and I really don't want to deal with that again. The penicillin sucked. And I don't want to have to stay longer at the hospital.

chriskoo - Hope you get good results from the u/s today! tbirdlove - Sounds like baby must be pressing on a nerve. I think that could explain both the pain and weakness feeling. I've heard people recommend drinking apple cider vinegar, taking probiotics, and eating yogurt, but I believe nothing has been proven to actually work. Probably one of those might help, won't hurt things.

Had my 32 week check-up this morning. Super quick, nothing exciting.
Thought of a question after the fact that I'll have to remember for my check-up in 2 weeks. With DS, my blood pressure was perfect my entire pregnancy then spiked after delivery. Since the cure for pregnancy related high blood pressure is delivery all I had to do was stop in for BP checks at my OB's office for a couple weeks after delivery to make sure it was coming down. Since nothing happened until after delivery and I never needed meds, I imagine it won't change anything for the rest of this pregnancy, but I figured I should mention it.
