How old is your LO: 4m Appointments: Yesterday for 4m well child and vaccinations Milestones: She is thiiiiis close to belly laughs. So close. Rants/Raves/Vents: Lyra was a champ yesterday for her shots. We decided to nurse during again (the nurses never get this, apparently, and are super weird about it *shrug*) and she just kinda whined at me for each shot, but otherwise nursed fine. No tears or lingering pain. We were super impressed with her. GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? We haven't done anything specifically summery with her yet, but I'm hoping to get her out to the beach sometime before it gets too cold. We're heading out to the coast and hitting a dairy factory either to or from to give her her first taste of ice cream in early September!

How old is your LO: almost 19 weeks/4 months+
Appointments: sitting in the waiting room for his 4 month. Definitely planning on nursing during shots this time
Milestones: has rolled back to belly once and belly to back several times
Rants/Raves/Vents: not ready for him to be mobile! Also he's learned to mostly put himself to sleep and I've been doing "naptime is an hour" even if he wakes up in 30minutes which has resulted in more hour+ naps 😃
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? Well he's been in the pool and loved it, so more of that. We went camping in June and will be going again in August.

How old is your LO: 3 months today
Appointments: aug 20 for 4mo check
Milestones: giggles, beginning to use hands
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m feeling tired and physically weak even though this baby is my best sleeper. My older kids are really trying me. I wish it was time for school to start
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow?; Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer?
This babe has been to the pool virtually every day this summer (for big kids swim practices). I’m so glad she is easy-going! I’m looking forward to doing activities with her in the fall when the kids are in school.

How old is your LO: 4 months next week
Appointments: next week for well visit and vax
Milestones: rolling both ways, she wants to sit up so bad. I can usually hang on to one hand and she can keep herself upright for about 30 seconds.
Rants/Raves/Vents: it'd be really great if she would sleep.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer?
We've been at the beach, parks, picnics and camping! She loves being in the water and the dry sand, but the wet sand freaks her out.
Poof!

How old is your LO: 5 months on Sunday
Appointments: 6 month check-up in late August
Milestones: When he’s on his belly, he’s starting to get his knees under him, stick his butt in the air, and push himself forward with his legs/feet. Lord, help me.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Hand foot and mouth is going around daycare. I’m sanitizing all the things and keeping my fingers crossed we don’t get it.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? We haven’t really done any summer activities yet. We are hoping to take him to this island on Lake Erie where my family has a house. We go a couple times a summer, but haven’t gone yet this year. I’m a little worried about taking all the baby gear over on the ferry. But it’s sort of a tradition, so I think we’ll probably go in Aug or Sept.

How old is your LO: 4 months Appointments: yesterday, so we are good until September now Milestones: he is getting good at grabbing things, I thought he had a small bit of tooth showing the other day but his gums seemed to have covered it again, he is grabbing his legs with his hands a lot lately Rants/Raves/Vents: I wish DH would help more. I am trying to decide when to start some solids with L. He always seems hungry. The pediatrician said we can start solids whenever we are ready. GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? So far we have gone to the beach, gone swimming in my parent’s pool, sat by the bonfire, and I know there is more but I am drawing a blank. I am looking forward to our almost annual trip to Iowa in a couple weeks. L was accessorized by big brother this week.

How old is your LO: 4 months tomorrow
Appointments: 4 month on Tuesday
Milestones: officially in 6 month clothes. And she has fully discovered her toes. She keeps trying to eat them and grabs them when I change her diaper.
Rants/Raves/Vents: she is so different from D1. D1 was so much easier sleep wise. She is so particular and it has to be dark and quiet for her to sleep which is hard when we have things to do during the day. And she hates having a dirty/wet diaper. D1 never cared but she gets so mad. She is still a pretty easy baby otherwise but her daytime sleep is driving me crazy.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? She's done a lot. Second child gets taken all over. Disney vacation, zoo, aquarium, parks, picnics, beach, and barbecues. She hasn't been swimming yet though and we will probably do that sometime before summer is over.
Last time she fit into her little sister pajamas. And from our zoo trip on Friday.
Poof

How old is your LO: 14 weeks I think
Appointments: nothing for a bit
Milestones: We’ve gotten a few more giggles but she seems content not to roll anymore - she’s rolled both ways a couple times but won’t do it now 😂
I’m considering moving her to her crib. But I don’t wamma bc she’s my last baby and once she’s gone that’s it 😭 I’m hugely in my feels about it. I wish bed sharing was a real option for us.
She moved to 6mos clothes and the 3-6mos stuff is getting pretty tight. She may have started out 2lbs lighter than DD1 but she’s defintileh catching up.
ETA: I left her for the first time for more than an hour. She didn’t drink much... but I did. I have exactly zero tolerance and 100% embarrassed myself. Oops. We will not be doing that again for a bit. Rants/Raves/Vents: were using the dockatot more and I looove it. We dropped the swaddle and she sleeps really well in it. Now only if I could get her to nap longer and more consistently.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer?
She’s gone pretty much everywhere with us! Pool, farm, shopping, zoo, trolley, ice cream parlor, etc. She’s so chill that it feels like NBD most of the time. We’ll lokely head to the beach in September and I’m sure DD1 will love it as much as last year. I think DD2 will still be little enough to nap anywhere!

How old is your LO: 13 weeks!
Appointments: about a month from now she will have her 4m well.
Milestones: she’s laughing and STTN.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I went back to work for real this week. I was worried she would be pissed but she’s actually doing okay.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? I’ve taken all 4 kids for haircuts, to the grocery store, and to The pool. We already had our vacation to the beach, and she hated it. Lol! More pool time is coming - we try to go at least one weekend day a week..

Appointments:not until 6 month in sept Milestones: rolling both ways, grabbing feet, laughing, babbling - she’s pretty much the cutest thing right now Rants/Raves/Vents: rant: she still won’t take a bottle and it has got me feeling trapped. rave: dd1 has really started to be super sweet with her it makes my heart hurt watching them together GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? haven’t had too much of a summer at this point with h working so much, but we made it to the splash pad

How old is your LO: 3 months this weekend! Appointments: 30th Milestones: first cold trying soooo hard to roll back to belly Rants/Raves/Vents: fuck germs. We’ve had enough. GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? We go on vacation next week. My parents rent a cabin by a river and let us stay for free. She’ll be out and about then.

How old is your LO: She will be 4 months next week.
Appointments: first week of August
Milestones: She's tripod sitting. She's starting to get super interested in food so that's something to look forward to. And yesterday when I got home, she leaned towards me like she wanted me to pick her up. SO awesome.
Rants/Raves/Vents: The mornings have been crazy. My house is a disaster. MIL is doing us a huge favor and picking DS up from camp today because I won't be able to get there in time, but I'm annoyed by it because I hate the idea of her seeing my house this way.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? We took our summer vacation before my mat leave ended, because I don't have any more PTO to use, and TBH it kind of feels like summer is a bust. We usually do weekend trips all summer but neither DH or I can take any time. The weekends have been full of family obligations and other garbage. I want my summer!

How old is your LO: 19 weeks/4 mo Appointments: weigh in today at the Bf clinic. Milestones: he’s rolling consistently back to belly and finally starting to only mildly protest being on his tummy. But then gets pissed because he can’t do belly to back yet Rants/Raves/Vents: sleep regression can kiss mh ass GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby in tow? Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer? We have been packing up picnic lunches and hitting up a bunch of playgrounds and wading pools and splash parks around the city. It’s been a lot of fun n We leave to drive cross country next Tuesday to spend a week at the lake. I’m nervous for the driving but it should be ok. And I’m really looking forward to the lake

I’m way late but I’m posting anyways 😊
How old is your LO: 19 weeks / 4.5 months
Appointments: not until 6 months
Milestones: found his feet and he is so close to sitting up on his own. He can do it on his own for a few seconds and then he topples
Rants/Raves/Vents: I really wish we could get to the end of these reflux issues. When the meds are right he is such an easy baby. We just had to change his meds again after a week of fussing ended with him not nursing for two days straight except for 2-3 feedings a day. We now have him on both Zantac and Prevacid and immediately he turned into his happy self again.
GTKY: What summer activities have you done with your baby; Or what activities are you looking forward to doing with them later this summer?
We’ve tried to get out as much as possible but it didn’t warm up here until the 4th of July. But so far we’ve taken trips to FL, back home to the Midwest, and we are going on vacation to Hawaii next week before I go back to work. We also have done the beach here a few times since we live so close and we try to play outside as much as possible. Plus general outings to museums, zoos, aquariums etc.
