The game must have heard me bitching. I finally evolved my magnemite and the next special research step included catch a cubone. I can't remember the last time I've seen one and one popped up within 2 hours of getting the task. Finally something went right!!

I went to Argentina, Peru, and Florida recently and caught a bunch of Chatot, Heracross, Corsola, and Carnivine.
I wish you guys were close by, so I could give you some!

I haven't seen or caught an Aerodactyl since the lone one I caught in 2016.
I'm not sure I'll ever get past this task.

I'm on evolve a Drowzee now and I'm 12 candies short. Considering burning 12 rare candies on it to try to get to the task in time. Side note - talk to text on my phone properly spelled and capitalized Drowzee lol. Didn't think I talked about Pokemon THAT much! |

I just caught my second anorith walking my son to the bus. The other tasks on this one are impossible though (aerodaytal and kabuto)

Clearly a lot of people got stuck on this special research set. |

What is this discord everyone is talking about?? It's basically a forum for gamers. There are different channels for different games and different regions. I found a server that combines my town and 5 or so surrounding towns. You can chat with other people in your area playing the game. People use it to announce and coordinate raids. Generally you can set up custom notifications so if I set up an notification for aerodactyl and someone finds a research task that results in aerodactyl and posts about it, I get a notification. It's how I was able to land MewTwo and Deoxys. Raid coordination through the app. |

It's been pretty helpful for finding Spinda research tasks as well. I don't really chat, but if I see someone is looking for a task and I happen upon it, I'll respond to them. |
