I managed to find a ring sling on prime day. I was hoping there might be a deal on a car seat but I haven't come across anything yet. I had been planning on buying a second seat like the one I already have for L in my car and only just discovered that they are no longer available, so now I'm having to start over looking for a seat. I HATE when they stop making stuff that you want to buy another of!! I've been running into that with a few things I've wanted to get for #2.

knitty - There are a bunch of car seat deals. I've seen Chicco, Britax, Evenflo, Safety 1st, and Graco all with discounts.

I've seen some of them and it looks like there are some good deals, just not on the specific models I've been looking at. I think I'm also having trouble settling on something because I knew what I was going to get until two days ago.

That's why I spent $99 on shipping to get DS2 the same crib DS1 has! I love his crib and didn't want to look for another one. It's even hard when it's an item that is responsible for keeping baby safe!!

I did a lot of research before deciding on both our infant seat and convertibles. I would not have been happy if I went to buy them and I couldn't get them!! It's actually been a struggle keeping myself from buying 2 more Chicco NextFits now so I have them when DS2 needs them, but we're probably at least year out from needing them (based on when we transitioned DS1) and I'd rather not use up a year of time before the expiration date from them sitting in my basement.

We decided to skip the infant seat this time and just go for the convertible seats right away because of how much L hated her infant seat. H already has a seat for his car thanks to BabiesRUs going out of business, it's just the one for my car.

I'm in need of an infant seat. I would have skipped it but I really want it for connection to the stroller and plus by the time he grows out of it, DD will be in a car seat that will turn to a booster and will grow with her so he can have her convertible.

Aww man. I dropped a sliver of almond with dressing on it from my salad and rather than landing on my chair or the floor like it normally would, my belly caught it. Small enough mark no one else will notice it but I'll definitely treat this when I get home!

Work is such a struggle lately. I feel like my brain is actively refusing to accept new information. I'm having a really hard time focusing. I keep trying to tell myself that with 2 months to due date it's way too early to be so distracted, but every day work is the last place I want to be.

I never went through nesting with DD but I'm starting to feel it this time around and I wonder if it's like...a symptom of that. All I can think about is baby, getting ready for baby, maternity leave, pumping, making baby food, and and and because I've forgotten everything over 6 years.

I just saw that BBB has matched the Amazon price on the Britax ClickTight! With a 20% off coupon they would be only $200.... That's less than if I waited and used my Amazon completion discount....
I feel like I already checked this (but the early conversation here has made me want to double check) and that the ClickTight models specifically don't expire for 10 years. I was going to wait a year before getting convertibles too, until I looked that up. Shouldn't be any danger of it expiring if I buy it already now and I think that's why I decided to put them on a registry for the completion discount. Must investigate and find some coupons! Haha!

Oh, look at that - Chicco NextFits last 8 years. I think I'll still save them for next Prime Day. Our storage room seems to have filled up quite quickly!

Our storage room seems to have filled up quite quickly! It's a good thing I've cleaned so much shit out of my basement, so I can pile more stuff down there 🤣 In fact, I just got rid of the boxes from our current convertible seats, so I guess new ones can just go where those were! Lol

I can't imagine trying to have enough focus or effort to get middle schoolers to do anything this far along. Kudos to you girls!

I feel the same that all I can think about is preparing for baby in one way or another. I keep wanting to wash baby clothes and set up the bassinet and I have to hold myself back because it's too soon for that stuff! Painting the nursery will make me feel REAL good.

I'm assuming a lot of it is still circling back to the fact that we don't have a name. It's the big thing that I can't instantly fix and it's always on my mind.

So far through Prime Day I've bought an exercise ball (for baby positioning exercises and eventually labor), a new micro SD card for my phone, and another Marpac Dohm white noise machine. The Marpac wasn't actually a Prime Day deal but when I clicked on it there was a coupon for $12.50 off so that made it cheaper than it would have been using my completion discount so I grabbed one for DS2. So far as expected no deals on our stroller or the add-on pieces for our Infant Optics camera but I've spent $60 and saved almost $30 so I've done well on the stuff I've actually bought so far. my exercise ball was my most valuable possession when I was in labor with DD. Every contraction I didn't bounce on it was 10 times worse than when I could bounce on it. I cried when DH loaded it in the car to take to the hospital because I NEEDED it for the few contractions before we left. Hopefully it helps you as much as mine helped me.

I don't remember trying to use mine during labor at home. I've considered bringing it to the hospital this time though. I didn't with DS because I knew they had birthing balls at the hospital, but the ones they had were WAY too small for me. My knees where at my chest! I tried it for a half a second and was like - Nope! I'm not sure if it would have felt good anyway because sitting upright on my bottom hurt a lot during labor - like it was pushing the baby back up into me or like I was sitting on his head! I could hardly sit in the car on the way to the hospital. But I've heard birthing balls are good to lay over while on hands and knees too so I can always try to use it for that! I'm determined to be at least a tiny bit better prepared this time!

I had a pregnant lady meltdown/tantrum after MH got home today. I went to Panera to pick up dinner and to get out for a few mins and collect myself. I ordered myself a half sandwich and small mac n cheese. When I got home, and after I'd already eaten the mac n cheese, I realized they'd accidentally given me the full size sandwich........ I ate the whole darn thing 😳 Apparently I was quite hungry. Maybe that helps to explain my random meltdown.

And now Baby Jogger is included! I guess companies can opt in or out of the BBB coupons and can change their status at times.

My day has already started off shitty. I just typed out a bitch-fest, but deleted it. I'm realizing that I really need to learn how to help my own mood and not let it spiral to a mess of being pissed off at everyone and everything.
Apparently pregnancy meltdowns are getting the best of me these days.
