Hi all! Congrats, nam2013! Hoping everything went well for X, cagoldi. Congrats on the offer, inthekitty!

If I said not much is going on over here, lightning would strike me dead. I've applied for a job out of state, and the start date would likely be September 1. I've got a decent shot at it since I've been advising the university in this area for the past couple years, but we'll see. I have a deficiency in an area they want (but isn't hard to train for either), and they aren't noted for paying all that well but have been doing better. So both sides have concerns but not necessarily deal breakers. Anyway, we're busy prepping for a move we may or may not make. A realtor is dropping by on Friday, and I'm going through our belongings and getting a garage/moving sale together.

So that's why I haven't been around this time. I hope you're all doing well!

Hello hello! Busy day at work today. I leave in an hour and then I have a bunch of errands to run before picking up the kids. We're going up north tomorrow right after work, so I have things to get done! MIL said she'd take the kids overnight (they watch them Thursdays anyway), but I know C won't want to go. To force him or not to force him... hmm.

Thanks for the house love ladies! MH felt a tinge of guilt about the offer coming in soon afterward with the new guy. I feel none. We gave the previous realtor more than enough chances and she wasn't even in the state last week so it's not like she did anything to help it along. She also showed her true colors acting like a vindictive crazy after we switched realtors. The new guy has already put in much more effort in such a short period of time I feel much more confident proceeding with him.

For obvious reasons I hope the offer stands, but also the lady and her kid sound so nice. Since we'll still be in the neighborhood I think when the deal is complete I'll get them a little welcoming gift. Maybe flowers for the mom and a t-shirt for her new HS for the girl. They are military so I'm assuming they don't know anyone here. The park right across the street will be perfect for the girl to make new friends because all the teens hang out there in the evenings during the summer.

B had a good morning at camp. He apparently told one of his teachers, "I love my new school!" It takes me approximately 2 minutes to get there from our house (less if I don't hit the red light) so this will basically be life-changing for me this fall when he's going every day. I'm going to get so. much. time. back.

I also threw myself on the mercy of the receptionist and got his ENT appt. moved up by a couple weeks, and am on their cancellation list in case something opens sooner. Fingers crossed. I think the doctor is going to recommend adenoids coming out, which I am 100% on board with, so the sooner we can get that scheduled the better. So tired of this poor kid sounding eternally stopped up, and his snoring has really gotten worse lately

mwhip way to go lady! The starvation-like period is the worst. Why does the stomach have to expand? I wish mine would stay small instead of growing and allow me to eat too much food. Hope you turn that corner soon.

The girls' new favorite show? The Twilight Zone. They've watched Stopover in a Small Town (one where couple wake up in an abandoned fake house/town), Living Doll (Talky Tina), and Eye of the Beholder ("ugly" woman gets plastic surgery in attempt to fit in society). They loved them all and keep asking for more. Yay! I love TZ.

I just got back from the Dr. my neck is infected and they swabbed it to culture. I won’t have results until next week but I’m doubtful it’s anything concerning. On antibiotics now so I’m hoping healing starts.

Lots going on at work. Super busy.

Hi hi - picked up both kids at 3 for N's last transition day..she did great and the teachers appear to be smitten with her😍. We stopped by 7-11 and got slurpees and now some Daniel tiger for a bit. Maybe we will hit the pool if MH can leave early. Ah to get home before 6 every day, this is nice!

I didn't even drag him! He sent me a text that he was going to go this afternoon and I asked him to get me some decaf tea. He said he'd just wait for me.

We even went to eat. Red Robin has some options for low cal/carb meals, so it may be out new go to for dining out.
