You guys, getting a tubal done is pretty damn easy, if your H's protest. It was outpatient and I had some discomfort later in the day and the following day, caused by the gas they fill your stomach with, but I was fine 2 days later. My insurance paid 100% of it. Plus, it's effective immediately, no waiting to see if he's shooting blanks for 3 months. You didn’t have to pay your deductible or anything?

Morning! H is still sick and it’s making her a bit crabby. The girls were supposed to spend time with MIL this morning so I could go to work but H threw a huge fit so that didn’t happen. Now I have to go in after DH gets home. I have some chicken thawing out in the fridge and no real plan for it but now I’m thinking of making bbq chicken sandwiches so I guess I better get the crock pot out. That sounds really good. xolastunicornxo I had a weird dream last night too. I dreamed that H has gotten ahold of my Zoloft somehow and filled the container with water, ruining my pills. It was a very angry dream. I wonder if it means something. Make sure you have BBQ sauce! I have 2 bottles! I also added a little extra brown sugar and Worcestershire. Should be good, hopefully.

Tuesday started off perfectly with the news that the Thai team had been rescued, I've been glued to that story and may or may not have cried real tears.
Otherwise just back at work for 3 days them I'm off for 11 days. My SIL is coming on Friday and I'm already off for my Dad's anniversary, so I'll have a lovely day of golf and reflection and some drinks in the evening with good company.

What's with these fellas not wanting to get the snip, jokes aside this is adulting and one of the many shitty things that need doing and it's pretty super important.

I'm looking for a new handbag, I want a structured tote with a 8-10 inch handle drop. I've been looking at the Matt & Nat ones, what one do you have peachsmama and cagoldi or anyone else? Feedback?

I kept waiting on a hospital bill. But it's been a year and I've never received a bill for anything.

Quoting myself... I don't meet my deductible annually. H and I are not on the same policy, which he meets his annually. But *knock on wood* I rarely even go to the doctor, outside of annual physical and skin check. No surgeries that year.

Maybe I should call my ob’s office and check it out. ETA if it doesn’t cost me anything, I’d totally do it.

I think some men find it emasculating or something? Like there can be a mental hurdle to get over along with the fear of pain in such a sensitive area. My H says he did/does not feel that way, but I do know recovery sucked for him last time. This time we had to wait until after baby and until I was recovered enough to be able to do all the (literal) heavy lifting. My MIL is coming to stay for a few days in 2 weeks, so the plan is to do it then. I just hope she doesn't act all awkward and make weird jokes about it...but that's a whole other issue.

tgrimes I was surprised. I actually called my local hospital (because that's where the surgery was done) and talked to their billing, and she told me I'd have to pay $800 something. But when I received my EOB, it said my balance was $0. So you might contact your insurance company as well.

One of my coworkers got a tubal with ablation a little over a year ago. She said it was pretty easy. She was hoping to not have much of a period with the ablation, but that hasn't been the case. Now she gets PMS for a full week before her period starts and then she has a really light period for like 2 weeks along with mood swings. She is not pleased with that part. Sucks for her. I'm sure it's one of those situations where everyone will respond differently. It sucks to have a period for essentially 6 months out of the year, though. Even if it is a very light period.

I've had the years of painful periods, terrible side effects from hormonal BC, the pregnancy and childbirth. He can take care of this. It's his turn.

Thanks for the well wishes for my dad.
P and I just visited and he's perfectly fine. No work or driving restrictions, as far as strokes go, it's the best kind to have, I guess.

But gave up, because it's just one more thing we would still be fighting about today, if I hadn't had it done myself. I made the appointment to get it done without even talking to him. There's only so many times I can hear the excuses before I just take care of shit myself.

This is where I'm at as well, I have exactly zero care of what procedure, the pain and/or feelings from him. Take care of it.

Earlier (around noon) when I was helping S in the bathroom she pointed out this huge jumping spider/daddy long legs on the ceiling. We ran out of there and shut the door. I just checked and it’s still there! DH can deal with it when he gets home.

I do think this is the case with some and I really think that even with some of the most feminist of men, they are benefitting from their privilege of not having as much at stake for the consequences and in many cases usually having birth control be left up to women for many years and not wanting to deal with it. Men will never truly experience as a woman does that anxiety that happens when your period is late and the ball of emotions involved. Obviously they don't have to worry about pregnancy, birth, post-partum recovery, and the complications that can come with it like we do. I'm certainly not excusing it because it makes me see red, but I think it's one of those cases where even the best and most progressive of men can often lag behind like Neanderthals.

Speaking of odd dreams...I had one last night that I got a DUI. I was kept in jail overnight with the 3 guys who were in the car with me, since none of us could drive. My H was out of town, so he didn't know. They released me the next day and I never told my H. As the date of my court got closer, I was getting super nervous because I never told him and I was trying to figure out how to break it to him. I woke with lots of anxiety. I read this as you had an odd dream the night you got a DUI and you kept it from YH. I was about to ask if you ever told him when I read again and clarified!

Yeah, I've done enough of the work to have kids. When we are done having kids MH can do the procedure. It's only fair!

C is willing to get it done. He is done having kids. He would of had it done as soon as we got pregnant with E but I made him wait. Now he's at a time at work that he can't take time off, so he hasn't gotten it done.
My sister D is trying to convince me to get the tubal because of the cancer risk with my family. I'm thinking about it.
