Tantruming Tuesday

Jack woke up screaming and hasn't stopped whinning/crying/screaming since.. going to be a long day..

Going to get some work done and going to my friends for a playdate later. Her son is not well behaved and they don't discipline but M begs to play with him.. Hopefully it's not to bad today.

I didn't react well to yesterday's allergy shots. The shot sites swelled up to almost my entire arm. They say you don't have to worry unless it goes past your elbow, mine came close. I took an extra dose of zyrtec as well as a shot of Cadence's allergy medicine....no probably not the best idea, but you know me. Ended up waking up an hour late this morning. The swelling has gone down, though I can still feel it on my right arm and it's all hot. My left arm has 2 big bruises from the dude squeezing my arm so hard.

Ok, my whine is over. LOL

I see them again on Thursday, so I'll tell them then. If I call they will probably just tell me, did the swelling go past your elbow? Do you have your epipen? See you Thursday.

I went to the dr this morning and he thinks I might have picked up a lake borne illness. So I have to get a sample of my poo 💩 to the lab. Fun times! 😬

Morning! I’ve been up for awhile because I had one of those awful dreams we were talking about the other day. Basically we were out in the neighborhood riding bikes and it was night time. We came home and we’re home for awhile and suddenly realized we didn’t have C! Like we just forgot about her and left her. We were panicking and running looking for her and suddenly my neighbor walked up with her in the baby ergo and said “I think you forgot something”. So I woke up in that awful state of panic and anxiety. Then I fell back asleep and dreamed I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! Cue another wake up in panic, lol.

Anyway, I’m going to the gym and then I have a dr app that I have to take all the kids with me to. Fingers crossed they act right.

Morning.

It's been a creepy morning so far. We have elderly volunteers here at my job and for the last two weeks I've heard my coworkers talk about this creepy volunteer that always offers them candy. Today was the first day he approached me and offered me candy. After that he said he also had nuts and would I like nuts. I said I didn't want any because I have trail mix with me. He then starts to laugh creepily and asks me If I got married becuase I like nuts?? WTAF. I reported him to my director. That is not OK.

Since MH has been working such long hours, we've been trying to prep dinners to where all I have to do is heat things up or make rice or something simple because the kids want to eat as soon as we walk in the door. Last Friday, we were supposed to eat bbq sandwiches. MH swore we had bbq sauce. He was wrong. So I ended up having to make bbq sauce from scratch.

FFTC I couldn't find any bottled ketchup so I used ketchup packets that we keep in the pantry. I have no idea how long they've been in there and I had to used about 20 packets of varying brands. MH kept the remaining bbq sauce we didn't use because he thought it was really good.

tgrimes I had something happen to me at my culinary academy class. I was making BBQ pork and the instructor brought me tiny ketchup packets. I would have need hundreds of them so I made my own ketchup.

By the end of yesterday they had 8 boys out, this morning they got the 4 remaining boys and the coach.

Lololololol!!!  Every now and then MH's fast food condiment packet builds up and I throw it out. I think it's like throwing out a piece of his soul for him.

Hi ladies. A lot of randomness from me today. Friday was MH's 50th birthday. He's old. He's been kind of depressed about it. He got into AARP and said spouses get free membership so I have my card coming in the mail. We topped our Costco 10 yr anniversary by going to Wendy's for his 50th.

Yesterday I took the girls swimming. I always help them shower then wash up myself. So they were done but wanted to go ahead and get dressed. I've never let them do that before but this time said okay. When I got out of the shower WWIII had erupted and they had gotten into a huge fight. Of course it happened to be a very crowded aisle in the locker room and here I was naked with just a towel around me trying to referee. When it was all said and done and I got them calmed down and sent them to dry their hair so I could finally get dressed. The other women who had politely been acting like they weren't surrounded by annoying ass little kids cheered on my parenting. It made me feel good in that shitty moment.

lahdeedah I'm glad you reported that guy. Comments like that are sexual harassment and he needs to be told what the consequences are to speaking to people like that. I hope they take it seriously and get rid of him.

kim22 , not yet. He has online coursework to do but he won't start until the school year after Labor Day. He will be co-teaching a combined pre-k, K, 1st class which sounds...interesting. At least he'll be working with a lady he's known for several years who used to teach Gym Jam for Parks and Rec and helped him get his former position leading gym jam. He's feeling the pain of being a student again. I'm kind of laughing at it because he's learning a lot of basic psych 100 and 200 level stuff that I took ages ago. Now he knows all about Piaget and Maslow.
