Anyone started thinking about this yet?
I'm planning on having DD and baby in the same room since DD and I share a floor bed. DD is a great sleeper now so I'm hoping it'll work out. Baby will start out either in a bassinet beside the bed, or the crib.

Starting out baby #3 will sleep in the bassinet part of the pack n play right next to my bed. After a few months I will move them to a crib. Our bedroom has a bonus room (no door between) that connects and initially the crib will be in there. Currently DD and DS have their own rooms. I'm not sure if down the road I will combine them and give #3 their own room or put #3 with one of them, obviously I have plenty of time to figure that out!!!!!!

I have a small 2 bedroom house, so baby will go in a crib in the second bedroom, with an audio only monitor, but will still be steps away. I'm so paranoid of the potential negative affects on our sexy time of baby in our room/bed that I am pretty much planning on our room being basically off limits to baby. That's how my parents were growing up, their space was totally theirs and we'd have to ask to go in there for any reason, and I think that will work for me!

idk if I’ll keep the crib in the nursery once DS2 transitions to a toddler bed, or if I’ll move it in my room. realistically we will probably co sleep too.

sunshiney That is why DD has never slept in our room. I have always slept in hers. That way when she doesn't want me there anymore the transition will be easier and it's also easy to sneak out whenever I want to:)

The first few months, this LO will be in one of those cosleeper bassinets that attaches to the side of our bed (Arm’s Reach). Then I’ll start moving the baby into what is now DD’s nursery. This will require her to transition to the twin bed in what is now the playroom.
Last time around, H and I ended up sleeping in separate bedrooms for a couple of months. I’d hand off the baby at 5:00am each morning and enjoy a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. Honestly it’s the only way we got through those early months. I’m a big fan of doing whatever gets you through that stage.

We’ll likely put LO in a bassinet beside our bed for the first 6 weeks then transfer to the PnP for a couple months which will also be in our room. I believe we put DD in her crib around 4mo so we’ll probably do that around the same time.

I would like to try to sidecar the crib this time. Eventually, would move crib into DD's room.

We'll have new babe in our room for the first six(ish) months. In a crib would be ideal, but I'll also have a bassinet or PnP in case s/he boycotts the crib like DS did.

This kid will be in a crib in our room. We live in a very small house, and my DDs already share a room.

I should have made the switch earlier. He went way easier than i expected. They both learned to tune each other out. I still had them nap in different rooms though.

That DD will be able to tune baby out. She'll be 5 when baby arrives so I'm hoping she'll just sleep through any noise. She's in school so at least naps won't be a problem because it will just be me and baby for most of the day.

I have no idea how DS1 slept through DS2 crying when we had to sleep train him.

I'm actually hoping for a magical sleeping unicorn this time around...but now that I wrote it out I probably jinxed myself:/

We are going to move ds2 into ds1's room. That means we need to get him out of a crib in the next 5 months, unless we also get a second one or use our pnp temporarily. We will put this baby into ds2's current room.

DD will move into our current guest room and we’ll keep her current room as a nursery.
We plan to make a BIG deal out of her moving into a new big girl room in the next few months

I'm trying to be as preared as possible for what to expect when we start this. It is mostly fine! Sometimes they complain about it, but they manage. I really like how they don't really have their own toys, but pretty much share everything. I do usually split them up at bedtime or I have a hard time getting them to go to sleep.
