Hi Ladies, Theo was the first one up this morning and I heard him in the family room playing quietly with toys, so I lingered a free extra minutes in bed. Came downstairs to poop smeared all over the carpet. That'll teach me to try and sleep in.

H has a half day today, so I may actually be able to put some semblance of my life put back together. Praise be.

Ugh I just reponded and the internet ate my response.

Its been ok so far because I've been working with my team and have seen or spoken to my boss.  It is weird that she isn't calling me though because she usually calls me every day.  I guess when we do finally speak we need to have a convo about my role.

And then I woke up to a bank alert and ns old daycare charged me for July and I lost my mind. Angry email and even stopped by to freak out, but the billing lady wasn't there. Thankfully I am not going overdrawn but thought I was for a bit.. but I still will be there demanding a check this afternoon if I don't have an email or a call soon. I don't have thousands of dollars floating around in case a school is totally incompetent.

Amazon Prime has it, and I'm pretty sure pbs kids does too. It's slow and thoughtful, and just wonderful. Josie pays very close attention to the parts where he speaking directly to the audience, but she kind of pulls away with all of the other scenes. But I think if she's watching his message, she can get a lot out of it.

Morning. We all slept in 🙌🏻 I’ve just been doing laundry and picking up. I agreed to watch my niece’s guinea pig through the weekend while they’re out of town. I hope it’s not smelly/obnoxious. The girls will like it though, I suppose. This afternoon we are going to a play date at a friend’s house and then she will watch the girls for a little bit while I go to a work meeting. DH is going to pick them up when he gets off work.

lfig I’m sorry for the rough start. I hope that’s the last time you see a seizure like that.

Don’t think I said hi today, so hi! This three job thing is killing me, but soldering soldering on, 2.5 weeks to go! Me and my coworker had four interns, we failed one week (after a lot of warnings, guidance etc) he was not amused... My sister is flying in for a very short period of time, but it is still nice to see her. Plus Sunny41 will be pleased to read that I got my Nalgene bottle today and put it to use immediately.

tallb Ooh, I'd be ticked about the DC payment, too, esp. since we're going into a holiday. I hope it is reconciled ASAP.

trtlcrzy I had guinea pigs growing up. If you stay on top of keeping the cage tidy, it shouldn't be too bad. Fortunately they are not nocturnal like hamsters so they mostly confine their squeaking and chirping to daytime hours. I'm sure the girls will love them!

dapostrophe Sorry about the mess! C had a blowout poop accident the other night just as our friends were about to leave. Tracked it from the (carpeted) playroom into the living room and onto the new seagrass rug. So that was fun. I found more the next day on a puzzle she'd been working on. :dry heave:  Kids are great, aren't they?

Nail salon was closed! (??) There were work trucks out front so not sure what's going on. I'm loyal to my tech there so I'll just wait til I get back. THey're not too bad yet. I did my Walmart run and got the last few things for tomorrow.

nam2013 We are road-tripping down to FL (again) to see my sister and meet her new little guy. They just moved down this weekend from SC, b/c BIL is starting with his practice this month. So yes, you are reading this right...she moved with a 5-day old baby. Super woman, indeed.

I would love a sister wife. We have reached the point where Pete and I need some time apart. He wanted me to go to Starbucks with him when we got back and was hurt when I said no. I’m getting a pedicure instead. I need someone to pinch hit in these situations. Plus if you cook it would make me vegan which I would love if I didn’t have to do the work/thinking.

When we got back from the casino the cleaning woman arrived. She offered to do the couch shampooing for me. So that’s a win. I spilled some of the solution on Max’s paws so I think she took sympathy on what a domestic train wreck I am. Max was not thrilled about having his paws washed but he’ll live. Getting my nails done then off to Target for some groceries.

Jealous of your guinea pig sitting assignment, trtlcrzy. I miss mine. They overheat kind of easily, as my dad learned one summer day. RIP, Elvis and Priscilla.

Aww, what a shame. Love their names, though.

We actually kept ours in a hutch outside for several years. They were surprisingly long-lived, all things considered. We also had a rabbit who was gorgeous but kind of a jerk. 

Never again. Sorry, kids, we are a dog-only family.

She was a little tired this morning but has perked up and is acting herself now!

My aunt was babysitting our gerbils one summer. She found out the hard way that gerbils, although desert animals, cannot stay in a glass terrarium in direct sunlight...

Lol one of my good friends parents declared that, but did let her get an outdoor bunny, which turned into an indoor bunny and legit lived for what seemed like forever. Clearly no one was allergic.

Thanks. I mean, it's not ready for Traditional Home, but I do think the lighter color helps it feel...not like a circus. Plus it was so dark in there at night--which is when we're mostly in there bathing kids and whatnot.
