I really fell off my knitting, which used to be a major passion of mine. I figure rainbow baby needs a rainbow blanket, so I've started back up with a really mindless pattern. It's very soothing and I'm glad to be back. I’m hoping to get back to my crocheting this winter.

I finally finished aditi's baby afghan so now I'm contemplating a nice crochet scarf for my son since he's going north where it snows and he's a shorts wearing phx AZ kid so he might freeze. But can't decide what stitches I want to use, simple or fancier

I went to Michaels this week to see if I could join a crochet class. For the social interaction more than anything else. I’ve been so lonely since we moved here last month. But when I looked at their calendar, there were zero crochet classes. I ended up talking to a manager about it and she said she’s desperate for an instructor so I’m going to apply 😱
I have to fill out the application online then interview with the manager and show her some of my pieces. If I get the job, I’ll do some training to be certified to teach!
Im pretty excited and nervous and I wanted to share!

honeylemon, I was lurking the other day and didn't post, but now that I read your update- they would be absolutely stupid not to ask you to do this! Your crochet work is amazing- I am in awe!

I was lurking cause I introduced myself forever ago on this board and never really continued cause I couldn't keep up with my knitting. I finally finished the sweater I started a year ago and I'm on to my next piece which I just frogged for the 2nd time. I think if I post more, I'll be more motivated.

I finished something! Yay! I had to take Friday afternoon and all day Monday off due to some carpentry we were having done, so I spent the time finally finishing this project I was posting about waaaaay back in May (I think?): It's hanging up in my work cube. I showed my husband and he was just like "....you could have bought a poster." LOL I also took DS to his first quilt show. I think he had fun...he came home with 2 yards of fabric, which he's asked me to use to make a dinosaur stuffie.

I know it’s technically August but this should have been finished in July. 😂🤷🏼♀️ The crotch is wonky and I don’t know why. I always seem to screw up when there’s a gusset involved. 😩

honeylemon, you would be a great instructor! The lady at Joann’s joked that if I figured out how to work my serger that I should come back and teach a class because so many people come in and ask and nobody knows how to do it.
