I hate this so much, it happened to us at the spray park Sunday morning. annoying Actually I guess I don't understand. They're 6. Go play. Get out of my hair. I mean if the kid is being a straight up ass that's one thing, but they're old enough at that age to go play. I'm ALL for my kids going any playing with other kids, but it doesn't mean I don't have to parent them. I need to be close enough and paying enough attention to discipline if they're being jerks or redirect if they're being annoying or whatever. |

So a few weeks back Shadow was having issues peeing in a certain spot in the living room. She is now regularly going in the litterbox and not holding. (We changed locations). Well we finally moved the puppy pads for good on Saturday and within an hour she had peed the again. Should I cut out the rug and pad? Would a professional carpet cleaning work? Anything I can sprinkle to deter her?

wedding, glad it’s not infected. But hope it’s feeling better soon. flamingo congrats auntie!! Let the spoiling begin! Thanks for the dishwasher tips! I’m leaning towards the Bosch. We ended up taking the boat and going to the river. Hopefully the new dishwasher will happen in the next few days!

She's good. She seems to have a kitty cold, though, so I'm keeping an eye on her. I need to set up an appt with our vet to check her out and to make sure her spay wound is healing properly. They sealed it with glue instead of sutures, so I've been trying to keep Cadence from picking her up and messing with her too much. She loves to snuggle with all of us. The other cats seem to tolerate her, but LJ is still in hell no mode towards her. |

This goes without saying. But it was a 6 yo at a splash pad and I didn't get the indication the kid was being a jerk. I have no shame admitting I would go chill on my beach towel while my kid played. If I was with my kid and another kid joined us and started acting a fool I'd say something like "time for you to go back with your dad" or "okay we're playing over here now, bye." I wouldn't feel the pressure to parent other kids nor would I feel like a 6 yo can't be at a splash pad safely without being right near a parent. Once kids reach elementary school age they are regularly on the playground with a very small ratio of adults to kids and need to learn how to behave properly really quickly. |
