I just got my Fitbit weekly report. I'm down 10k steps from last week, and last week I was down 12k steps from the week before. Even putting away laundry makes me nauseous these days. Last pregnancy, I ended up taking the Fitbit off after the first few weeks because my stats were so bad.

notagoddess I was part of a study with DD so I had to track my steps and aim for 10k steps a day. Some days I was so nauseous I could barely move and walked a total of like 350 steps. I was a little relieved when I broke my ankle so I at least had an excuse to barely be walking at all.

sammysam, I love walking and did a decent amount 2nd and 3rd tri. But I'm definitely taking it easy until the nausea goes away.

I have a very good friend who has been struggling with IF. It took me about 7 cycles to get pregnant this time, so we have been comiserating with each other, even though her situation was much more serious and required surgery, and they were looking at IVF as their next step. I haven't told her that I'm pregnant yet because I just didn't know the right way to bring it up. (I was actually going to post on here and ask for advice on breaking the news.)
Anyway, she just texted me that she got a faint line on 3 wondfos today! I'm so excited for her! But now I don't want to tell her yet because I don't want to steal her thunder. LOLOLOL

I got both boys down for their naps, laid down to try and get some rest as well, and just as I was finally about to fall asleep... my 16 month old woke up screaming and wouldn't go back down. So much for me napping today. 😔 Oh no, that’s the worst 😩

stayingblonde Such good timing though! At least you won't feel bad when you actually do tell her. It took us 8 cycles to conceive our loss and then 9 cycles for this LO. I have an appointment booked with an RE for July 12th that I haven't cancelled yet just incase the US on the 10th doesn't go according to plan. Shows how confident I am about this:)

Happy birthday to your DD, cch! So hard to believe all the J15 kiddos are turning 3 this summer. I hope you feel less sick the rest of the day so you can enjoy your time with her! Thanks lady! It’s SO hard to believe! Our babies aren’t babies anymore 😭

Anybody care to talk me off the ledge? Trying my best not to freak out but after using the restroom a couple hours ago I saw a small streak of brown discharge when I wiped. I don’t remember spotting with DD but I know every pregnancy is different. I’ve read that brown spotting is common around weeks 6-8 but I still can’t help but worry. I spoke with the OB nurse and she said some women have spotting around this time and it’s totally fine as long as I don’t have heavy cramping or red blood. Has anyone else experience brown discharge?

What do you do for pain relief? My neck and shoulder hurt so bad and I can't even use icy hot! I took two tylenol but they did nothing so I've been just been using heat and ice. I need to call my doc. It made me wonder what women do if they get injured for pain relief

cch I've had 2 different instances of a very small amount of brown spotting. I told myself not to freak out unless it continued, and both times it was just the one time and everything was fine. I had red spotting 2 times w/ R and both of those ended up being nothing, too. So even though it sends me into a panic spiral, apparently it really can be nothing. I'm sure you're fine, but I understand the panic. xoxo

cch I had spotting right at the start of this pregnancy. My doctor wasn't concerned at all. I got betas done the next week and all was fine. For me it was earlier so either implantation or breakthrough bleeding. But I have friends and family members who spotted all through their pregnancies. Has it stopped now? With my loss when the spotting started it didn't stop. It continued for 2 weeks before the the hemorrhage. But is was bright red. No brown at all. I'm sure everything will be fine. When is your next appt?

Foxy I couldn't take anything:( They couldn't cast anything because of the risk of blood clots during pregnancy. I just sort of made do. I had a million injuries over the years from the sports I played so the pain didn't bother me as much as it could have I think. I wish I had any sort of recommendation but my doctor said it was better to suffer through if I coud:/

stayingblonde Thank you for the reassurance! It’s so good to know others have been in the same position and everything turned out fine. I’m doing my best to not worry but that’s easier said than done! sammysam Thanks lady. I haven’t had anymore since that one instance (thank goodness). It was just one line of dark brown tinged CM, not much at all but definitely noticeable. It mostly worries me because I’ve had cramping since O, some days it’s light other days it’s moderate.. but I’ve been told that’s normal so who knows. Seeing the brown + continuous cramping is what made me call the OB. I’m glad I had strong betas last week or I’d probably be even more worried. Just need to make it until July 3rd for my dating u/s.

cch I wouldn't worry about the cramping. With DD I cramped all through first trimester. I'm glad the spotting stopped. One little bit could be from just about anything and definitely nothing to worry about. Brown blood is old blood. Only a week until your US. I know it will feel like an eternity but I'm sure everything is perfect:)

I did, around 12 weeks with my DS1. they asked me if I had intercourse prior or strained during a BM. I think the latter was my issue. I think brown is usually good.

Yikes I don't even want to imagine what that was like. I'm sorry, that must have sucked. I'm just dealing and complaining to H 😒

cch I'm sorry, that must feel really worrisome! But it's totally normal. The old place kept a poll open for the longest time as a reassurance for women pregnant again after loss, and about 1/3 experienced spotting in healthy pregnancies. What you described sounds 100% cervical, the cervix gets more delicate/sensitive with pregnancy hormones and can bleed or shed bits of tissue that color CM at the drop of a hat! I have almost daily pinkish tinge to CM but that's because I'm on progesterone suppositories, they're very irritating for my cervix at least, but I have also had a little glob of clear EWCM with a string of brown in it twice so far, didn't worry me because I know it's cervical. If it continues or even is some red blood but without (painful) cramping, that is also normal and could be a benign sub chorionic hematoma (bleeding from a little pocket between placenta and uterine wall), also a common and usually harmless symptom. That can be identified with an US check.

Maybe because I was so uncomfortable and sick already that I was distracted from the injuries. It happened on a Friday and I went back to work on Tuesday. Even after my CS I only took regular Tylenol. I have bad reactions to lots of medications, specifically pain meds, so I sort of rather the pain than more nausea and vomiting. I hope you're starting to feel better though. Anything to have to deal with on top of pregnancy is just too much!

sammysam what you say intrigues me. I also get so nauseous from pain meds, with my laparoscopy the nausea was way worse than the pain when I woke up even after maxing out anti nausea meds. Then i took one hydrocodone and felt so sick I just took Tylenol after that. Same with my wisdom teeth. The only thing that makes me nervous about a scheduled C section is the nausea. But I never imagined the pain would be bearable without strong meds. How long was it really hell for?

k sunshiney Each person that tells me they had something similar or that it’s common to spot helps me feel better, so thank you. I’m thinking I may have strained with a BM the night before so maybe that was it.

But I never imagined the pain would be bearable without strong meds. How long was it really hell for? I only had nausea during the actual CS and that's only because I was throwing up all through labour. I let them know and they immediately pumped something into my IV that took all nausea away. It was magical! I had absolutely no nausea at all after that. None. Once the spinal wore off the first 2 days were...not pleasant...but not as bad as I thought. They had me up and walking a bit the next day (my CS was late at night so they had me get up the next day and walk around...but it was rather horrible). I think the worst (other than the car ride home) was forgetting and trying to get out of bed normally in the middle of the night. Ouch. But if I rolled onto my side and didn't try to "sit up" it wasn't too bad. I was in the hospital for 5 days (because my milk didn't come in and DD lost a tonne of weight so they kept us until she started gaining again) but honestly I don't remember the pain being as bad as I imagined it would be. I'd say about 2 to 3 days were pretty terrible but after that was tolerable and by the time I went home on day 5 I actually stopped taking the Tylenol. I might have taken it once or twice after I got home. Of course I may have just blocked out the worst of it:) But again, I don't mix well with meds so I only did this because I HATE feeling nauseous. If you're prepared for pain then I don't think you'll find it to be too bad. Sorry for the novel:/

I was sore but it wasn't unbearable. Getting up and walking early I felt helped a lot with my recovery. I handle pain pretty well and hate how narcotics make me feel.

My first appointment and ultrasound are tomorrow! I'm a little nervous for the ultrasound, since I've never had one this early before. With my previous pregnancies, the first ultrasounds were at 10 and 11 weeks, but I'll only be 7 weeks for this one. Hoping for some clear pictures and a good heartbeat! FX everything goes well! Are you fairly confident of your dates? At 7 weeks they should be able to see heartbeat just may not be able to hear it yet.

@amc I'm sure everything will go perfectly:) Good luck tomorrow! Mine isn't for another 2 weeks. I'll be just over 8 weeks and I'm stressing about how early that will be so I completely get your concern. I'm sure they'll see everything they need to and then you can come back here and tell us how great it was.

I’m so annoyed with my OB office. They already called me once to reschedule my appt and now they just completely cancelled it on July 5th bc of the holiday 🙄. There are like ten doctors in the practice and I can’t be seen by any of them. I’ve already called off work and cancelled my patients and this is really screwing with my pregnancy announcement.
