So the birthday party was interesting! The dad and step mom were drinking and then there was a cooler of booze I assume people just added too. I sort of felt like some people weren't aware it was a byob type thing? People were just kinda grabbing assuming it had been provided. Like, "hey, where did you get this beer? It's so good!" And the hostess was like, uhhh? Not sure?

I also wasn't expecting a full meal, but they just had veggies, fruit and chips. I thought there would be something a tad more hardy.

And now I officially feel like the most critical and needy guest. It was a nice party. I'm apparently hard to please!

Lol wineallthetime! Making me anxious about hosting a party! I never go expecting food at a party since I'm gf, and then I'm pleasantly surprised if there is something. I wouldn't assume lunch at 1pm, but would at 11.

I wouldn’t necessarily expect food at a party that’s out at 1:00, but I would if it was at someone’s house. Now that I type it out I realize that’s sort of ridiculous

We went to a gymnastics party today at 12:30 and I wasn’t sure if there would be lunch bc The play part wouldn’t be over till 1:30. But they had pizza and cake

I get that! I totally realize I'm being ridiculous based on how I host. Party was at their house with a mix of family and friends. I didn't expect lunch, but thought there'd be more filling snacks like cheese &crackers or dips or something.

Now I feel like the most high maintenance person ever!

chrisy01 I feel you. I was getting emotional as I kissed my 3 goodbye tonight. They are only gone for 3 days, but that's the longest they have stayed away from home without us. I know I will miss them even while I enjoy having some down time.

I am glad to hear L was ok leaving and is having fun. I think it would be harder on you if he was upset too. Hang in there, Lady!

I got home from work about 15 minutes ago. S was crying so I went in to see what was going on. H peed in the bed not once, but twice. Wtf. This is not something I want to deal with.

I've only been away from him 3 days max before. He was either with C or here at home with my parents. Never on a road trip without me or C. I know this is good for him and he will have fun it's just hard.

Since people were drinking I would have expected more in the snack department as well.
