Age: 3 going on 13. Milestones: Nothing new. Challenges: Despite his best efforts, "no thank you, please" is not a magical get-out-of-normal-human-activities-like-bathing password. Funny/cute stories: Yesterday, he found a caterpillar and made me look at the “sweet little baby taterpuller.” Then he saw a bird and yelled, “hey, come eat it, bird!” and proceeded to stand over the caterpillar chanting “EAT IT, EAT IT, EAT IT!” Just further evidence that I’m probably raising a serial killer. How are you? I'm okay. Holding it together. We've made major moving progress. We're also officially TFAT now after some positive financial stuff. I'm mostly zen about it, and a little freaking out. H is completely positive and excited about it, which makes me kind of want to punch him in the face. QOTW: I like a lot of the looks from the 40s too, enchanted. I'm also a fan of 50s looks. Fit and flare is a good shape for me, so that helps!

Age: 3 Milestones: Challenges: he broke a fixture in our house this week that was already compromised so I’m not entirely blaming it on him, but it’s going to be a costly repair that will require a contractor. So I’m real irritated with him. He’s tearing my house apart. Funny/cute stories: How are you? Same old Anything else? We started our summer preschool class today and he did really well with his peers. He starts a solo preschool class in a few weeks here and I am counting down. QOTW: What period in history had the best fashion? 1950s Hollywood glamour... Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn... although I’m glad we don’t dress like that today, I’d roast in all the hosiery and buttoned up looks Eta: I can’t get my gif to work on mobile so I’ll settle for a still image

Age: 1.25
Milestones: More teeth and more words, the usual these days.
Challenges: Still the damn sippy. He's better with a straw, so I'm moving on to straw cups. FX he doesn't figure out how to break/open them like he did all the sippy cups LOL/sob
Funny/cute stories: He loves my cookbooks and will often bring me a cookie cookbook to 'read' to him. I sit there with him and we talk about cookies, brownies, and no-bake bars, and he mimics every word I say. MH came home from work and he said, "Dada! Ownie!" ("Dada! Brownie!") Maybe he'll be a pastry chef one day LOL
How are you? Okay. Surviving the day-to-day.
Anything else? I'm getting together with some friends this weekend and it is sooooo needed.
QOTW: Oooo. That's tough. I love the 20s/30s, but I probably fit better with the 60s hippies in bellbottoms and flowy tops.

oldbaylover1024, Contigo straw tumblers are awesome. They don't spill and are hard for DS2 to open. The straw has a valve in it, but it comes apart so it's easy to clean. The only thing I don't like about them is if they're left in a hot car, they will make a mess (the temperature change forces liquid out the valve.
