Your Tuesday entertainment - in my morning pump session, I hooked up the flanges, turned the pump on and got on Facebook. After about a min I feel some moisture and look down... I forgot to attach the bottles!!! I had been pumping breastmilk into my lap for over a minute. My pants are soaked down to my underwear! It even got all over the chair! (I flipped the cushion) I have no idea why it took me so long to notice! Now I'm sitting here in breastmilk soaked pants... it's only a matter of time before I start to smell like spoiled milk...

Today is my MIL's birthday. We are going to breakfast in Fort Collins and then going to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. They have really good taffy up there. Not sure what we're doing tonight, but I know we're having ice cream cupcakes for dessert.

Tired.
Started last night with E having a seizure after getting home from daycare. He fell and hit his head on our deck when he had it. So H called MIL to come over and help with bedtime. She came and was super fake the entire time, then told me we need to be medicating E because his seizures are "disrupting" our lives. She's mad that we've been asking for her help at a moments notice when E has these seizures and H is at work and I'm all alone with the kids. Then a big storm came through and our power was out for about 30 mins. Fell asleep at 10. L was up to eat at 11. At midnight I had to redose E with Tylenol for his fever, but he woke up and wanted me to rock him and read him a story. Cue freak out when I tried to put him back down to sleep. So he came in my bed until 2 when I finally said he had to go back to bed. L was up at 4 to eat again. Alarms went off at 5 for the day. Thankfully I snoozed until 6:30 because I don't have any morning meetings at work today and just came in late. Sorry for the word vomit. It was a bad night.

Wow I'm sorry for the rough night tjanca22. Is your MIL usually like that? That seems like a shitty thing to say.

goldenlove and waitwhat MIL is a real bitch some days. I could make an entire thread on her. All the therapists in the world wouldn't help her. Unfortunately, she only thinks of herself most days. Which story would you like to hear? The time when she volunteered to get deployed so she'd miss our wedding? The time when she medicated H as a 6yo for being bipolar (which he is not)? The time when sued her own sister for taking H on a vacation when he turned 13 after she had already given her approval for him to go? I've got more unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow tjanca22, MIL sounds nutty. Sorry to hear about the rough night and E, I hope he is ok. Does he get febrile seizures or are they a result of another condition (sorry if you've discussed this previously; alternately, feel free to tell me to mind my own business!) dashook good luck! Poor cookswithwine! I have done that before but fortunately was at home. Are you close enough to your house to run home and change at lunch?

Morning!
The sun is out and I'm reeeeally hoping it stays that way so we can get B's swim lesson in. Last week's were both cancelled due to weather and he misses them, plus he needs to get some energy out after being cooped up yesterday.
When C wakes up from her nap we're heading to the mall to get a couple things for our trip.

flamingo he gets febrile seizures, but just happens to get a lot of them. We just hit double digits. We've done all the testing to rule out anything major, MRI, 1hr EEG, 48hr EEG and everything comes back normal. So somehow we learn to live with them and take them as they come. He's otherwise a healthy and thriving kid. We have he option to medicate him with keppra, but the side effects aren't something we feel comfortable with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

tjanca22 I'm sorry for your rough night, and tp to your MIL. DH used to get febrile seizures as a kid. He had a lot of them. Like, a LOT. Good news is he eventually grew out of it (I guess his body eventually got better at regulating his temperature so it didn't spike so quick anymore?).

You're MIL can just suck a bag of dicks tjanca22 febrile seizures =/= epilepsy and anti seizure medicine is not a walk in the park. You seem to handle it all beautifully, I think it's her life that she feels is 'disrupted'. Rude.

Tell me what to eat for lunch, please.
Crispy Chicken Tenders Platter Half-pound chicken breast tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy, a soft roll and ranch dipping sauce.
Spicy Chicken Tenders Platter Half-pound chicken breast tenders with spicy seasoning. Served with creamy slaw, a soft roll and BBQ dipping sauce.
Chicken Pad Thai White meat chicken with rice noodles, eggs, bean sprouts, red onions, shallots, preserved sweet radishes, chives and peanuts stir-fried in a delicious sauce made with tamarind, soy sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce.
Or something from the taco truck. Probably either a carne asada burrito or tacos.

Think the tooth fairy handles teething? I might build an alter to her. I wonder what she would prefer I dedicate to her. Fluoride enriched wine or a million tears of an exhausted FTM? Both?

I just came to ask what was for lunch jubilantsquirrel. It is taco Tuesday... but I am a sucker for some fried chicken and gravy 😬. Tough choice. I'm basically no help.
