Why can't we have 2 good nights in a row? Yesterday she slept until 1:30, ate and slept until it was time to get up at 7.
Last night? Awake from 9:30-11:30 mad, crying, hot. Awake again at 2 and up for the day at 5:45. I know shes tired, so why u no sleep baby?!

I’ll try to think of something good. But baby was up similarly. Every time his Tylenol wore off and his fever spiked, he woke up. And then up for 45 min. H is running him to the pedi this morning since it’s day 3. I guess the good news is tomorrow is my birthday and H is taking me out for sushi at this amazing restaurant. We tried it a year ago because a vendor gave him a gift card there and it was so so good. And I think we still have money left on the card.

Something good....let’s see...our nanny is awesome at baking pies, and she made an apple pie today. It is delicious and I’ve already had 2 slices... Other than that, I feel like today was a reaaaaallllllllly long day. Both kids were up around 5:45, which made them generally cranky all day and off schedule. They are both in bed now, however, so fingers crossed for a nice, long sleep for both of them! 🤞🤞🤞

Ok something good should not be this hard... it’s cooled down from being super hot. And I’m drinking my coffee warm.

So we might be getting a minivan today. We’re at a playground currently waiting for the bank to open so we can get a cashiers check and then we will head to the dealership. A Kia Sedona. I don’t know why I’m nervous - we’ve been saving for years for a new (to us) vehicle. It’s just a lot of money to part with at once I guess. 😬 I’m excited for all the extra space though. I might finally be able to fit a stroller and some groceries in the back at once!

So the doctor thought the baby had roseola, but his blood test came back showing it was bacterial. He got an antibiotic shot and we bring him back in the morning for another check to see where his white blood cell count is. I feel so bad for him. He is so miserable.

Well shoot - Kia issued a recall last night for the Sedona because the sliding doors were not always automatically rebounding if they hit something so no car for us today. We can get it tomorrow. The girls were so good today and we went to ChikFilA to make up for all the waiting they had to do (plus indoor playplace as it’s still 95* here).
H is all pissy because he thinks they should have called and told us before we got there. I’m 🤷♀️. They didn’t find out till last night, got it right in the shop this morning, and it will be ready tomorrow. Truly with all the shit going on in the world right now, not getting our minivan this very second seems very #firstworldproblem to me.

curmudgeon I hope this shot fixes him up quick. So sorry - a sick baby is no fun and not the way we hope to spend a birthday. Hopefully the antibiotic fixes up quick for tomorrow.

Actually had a good day here despite a poop incident and the toddler being a demon for the first hour of our day. I’m currently relaxing outside, catching up here and contemplating if I have the time and energy to net battle about something.

So glad you brought him in. Weird that it’s something bacterial. Of course I want to know exactly what it is. Do you know? Anti bac shots are magic. I had one a few years ago and it was crazy how quickly I felt better.

Ummm...
Oh! So you know how I was complaining about DS1's potty training? Well he has been doing so well and is even pooping AND wiping with minimal accidents.

I had one a few years ago and it was crazy how quickly I felt better. I wish we knew! And the doctor was stumped too because he has no other symptoms. No congestion, fluid in his ears, or rashes. I don’t know how long it takes for shots to work but i haven’t noticed much of a change. Still spiking fever and still doing rounds of Tylenol. Ugh I am hoping his check up tomorrow tells us more.
