Hi, Jan/Feb ladies!
Got a BFP Sunday (10DPO), beta that day was 21. The internets tell me I'm due 2/28. But I'll be having a scheduled C-section before that date (due to Crohn's and a clotting disorder).
It's been a massively long road to get here, but I have lots of reason to believe all will be well! Looking forward to spending time and getting to know everybody here.
The basics - DH (37) is a computer tech, who must love me a lot because he "let" me (33) quit my job as an academic dean to pursue my dream of writing (June 30th is my last day!). And, apparently, to have a baby. Yay!
***History - Loss Warning***
Started TTC with my ex in 1/2009. Tried naturally 5 years, did IUIs and IVF with him for two years. No pregnancies (severe MFI) until IVF, where all 3 transfers resulted in losses (CP, 7.5 wk loss, ectopic). RPL testing didn't find an explanation; RE thought it was just crummy sperm.
Married DH a year ago and started TTC in October. CP in January, 6 wk loss in February. More extensive RPL testing found a genetic mutation (PAI-1) that prevents my body from breaking down blood clots and interferes with implantation. To treat it, I've now been on daily baby aspirin, plus for good measure CoQ10 before ovulation and Prometrium suppositories after ovulation. The 3rd time was the charm, I guess! I have so much hope to believe this will be our rainbow baby, because now we're treating the cause of the losses, and because I've never had a BFP this early before (it was a clear + too!) so I think the aspirin worked and implantation is going great (and I'm on Lovenox for the whole pregnancy).
