Does anyone know if I do the same thing tomorrow if it asks me for my email or does it save it? I feel like a total dumbass.

The Oregon DoT FB page is blowing up. One of their employees was screenshotted saying reprehensible things about shooting everyone who tries to cross the border. People are adamant she is fired.

Yes, let's send someone whose family benefitted from "chain migration" to the people we refuse to let seek asylum and whose children we took away and now won't promise to return.

And I get that sending a First Lady can show empathy in a way. Like, Michelle Obama or Laura Bush would have been warm and sympathetic with the children and parents and honestly, I'm sure Melania could be as well, but FFS.

My problem is that it's her husband who is in charge of this policy, so you don't get to look like the sympathetic hero when you are married to the monster who did this. It's disgusting and horrific.

Here's the latest on the votes.

GOP leadership have called an emergency huddle this afternoon. It sounds like they want to push the "compromise" vote to tomorrow or next week.

Republicans Tillis and Cruz in the Senate are planning to meet with Democrats Feinstein and Durbin to draft an actual compromise bill that addresses detention of families.
