I’d been at work for 30 min and 3 people commented that I have the “tired mommy” look or asked “woah, how are you feeling?” As if I don’t feel crappy enough already, let’s just pile on the compliments. Last night was night 2 of the Merlin. Poor kid looks like a little marshmallow. So cute. But so not sleeping well in it. He just wants to suck on his hands all night... and it’s not to soothe himself. It just keeps him awake. People suck. Perhaps a slightly crazed sounding “I AM FUCKING TIRED” might get them to leave you alone

clementine, Who says that?? Geez people. Does anyone know when early teething starts? If I didn't know better I'd say this kid is teething. So many hands in his face and so much drool. He is a pissy little sh!t too and I am not impressed. All the crying. I am tired. Currently he's sleeping in the bouncer and I'm trying to figure out how to go to bed while he's in the kitchen. I'm scared to move him. L is doing the same thing and has been chewing on the straps of the Tula so I say she is teething. She is 3 months old today. D1 had 4 teeth by 5 months and I know she started teething a while before that but don't remember if it was this early. But it is not fun as she has been grumpier than usual. And so much drool. We are going through a ton of bibs each day because she just soaks through them.

That is scary leatherpants. I'm glad you are ok and hope your other issues are resolved once your gallbladder is removed.

I'm scared to move him. We have the same baby. I’m pretty sure B is starting teething too. And for the past 2 days, if he’s not eating or sleeping, he’s screaming. I thought I could feel a little sharp spot his bottom gum today. DS1 got his first tooth at 3.5 months so this seems like similar timing. I’m sure that little fucker will move up and down for weeks just to torment all of us.

Oh wow leatherpants! I’m glad SO was there. How scary! Hope you can get it out soon! The best part is the SO and I were having an argument at the time when the pain started. So I plan on never letting him forget the time he made me mad and gave me a legit heart attack. Hee hee.

alwayscheese happy birthday (yesterday)! Hope you had a great day! ArielMermaid happy anniversary! Sounds much like mine two weeks ago - we were visiting family and totally forgot until they reminded us 🤦🏻♀️ oh well, it happens! leatherpants OMG I’m so sorry!! That sounds so horrible. Glad you knew what was causing it and have a plan to make you feel better.

I’ve been terrible at keeping up here. I keep meaning to check in and then get distracted mid post. I have been reading all of your posts though!
Things are mostly good here. In the last few days, L had been getting fussy again so I think it’s time to up his reflux meds again. The first dose lasted 4 weeks. This one 6 weeks so that’s better I guess. I hate this for him bc other than that, he is just the happiest baby ever.
We are also FINALLY decorating his room (**hangs head in shame**). I’ve had a theme in mind for a while but we just found some stuff that works and are modifying it so that it fits my “vision.” I’m also doing a painting that I saw but we never bought and of course I can’t find it now so I’m recreating it. I’m so excited for it all to be done.
Also - miracle in progress here - my extremely picky 3 year old ate Mac and cheese today!! He used to love it but stopped eating it about a year ago. He finally decided today he liked it again. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

happy belated birthday alwayscheese! ArielMermaid happy anniversary...did you end up going out? clementine im sorry the transition isn’t going well! it’s so hard to know what is going work. fx things improve! and i’m sorry for the crappy comments from coworkers😒 leatherpants that is so scary i’m glad you weren’t alone when it happened and that you have a plan for surgery. hopefully that will be the end of all the crazy health stuff! dizzycooks i feel like dd1 was a droopy mess for months from 3 months on and she didn’t pop a tooth until 9 months...probably not the anecdote you want to hear as for me i’m pretty sure dd1 has pink eye so i’m keeping her home today and not going to dinner with the family tonight. it’s going to be a long day. i’m feeling like i’m getting it - maybe i’m just being paranoid? ugh. i’ve never had it before.

leatherpants That sucks! I’ve been there. Before my gallbladder was removed I ended up in the ER a couple times with vomit and fever induced pain. It hurt way more than labor. Surgery and recovery was easy. FX they can get you in soon. In the mean time try and avoid fats. I could only eat 2 grams a day to day keep the attacks away.

I managed DD’s 3yr check up with both kids on my own! Today we’re hitting the grocery store ( I feel like I’m there every damn day🙄) and maybe the splash pad if these clouds clear up!

Yes - I felt like every day our only outing was to get groceries. I’m trying to start a new weekly thing. Like Monday’s are groceries and errands, Tuesday’s for playgrounds (we are trying to hit up the best ones in the city), weds for big outings like the zoo etc, Thursday’s for big walks, Friday’s at home in the yard, weekend’s for cleaning etc. Yesterday we went to a wading pool and it was the very best day. Plus both kids were exhausted afterwards. Win for mommy

Holy crap leatherpants. I hope all of your health issues resolve when you can finally get rid of that thing. We are also most definitely teething here too. Drooly and miserable.

Ok you guys, but I need to know what these 1st birthday themes are.
I did monsters for L and I think I want to do a joint giant party for both next year. So let’s hear those ideas!

Birthday parties. I need to resist for a while longer so I don't go overboard.
OTOH One of my BFFs was saying she made cupcakes for her first's 6 month birthday. I pry need an excuse for cupcakes lol

I need to start thinking about birthdays again. We do one big party for the girls and everyone gets their own 1st bday party so I guess I have two to plan. Like I need more to think about... I’m seriously having a hard time staying organized lately. Idk if it’s mommy brain, exhaustion (is there a difference??) or I’m getting lazy, but stuff just doesn’t get done. polson pink eye went through our gym last week and I swear my eyes itches for days. So gross. I hope everyone gets better quickly!

Ugh pink eye. Sorry polson. Idk if that’s what mine was, but the antibiotic drops are helping a lot! Eye infections are the worst, so I hope you’re not getting it. I feel you on being paranoid though. Whenever a sign goes up at the daycare here about pink eye, lice, strep, etc, I feel like I imagine the symptoms for a couple days.

Ds has not had a birthday party since his first. We had a Very Hungry Caterpillar theme for that one. I think we'll the tradition going and just do a big first birthday party and not another one again until kindergarten when he has friendships outside of cousins and an opinion about how he wants to celebrate.
For E's first though, I think I want to do brunch or a tea party with a garden theme.
