Oh my god! The bank took my money. I won't see the check from them until the end of the week. I didn't activate my card by the time they thought it should and sent a check. They will cancel the check but I won't see the money until Monday. We are fine financially it's just frustrating to have to move funds around.

tgrimes I'm so sorry. Knowing when is the right time to make that decision is so hard. Having been through it recently, I feel you and your H's pain. Hopefully, he will be ready before she deteriorates too much. My vet made it a bit easier to decide by telling us things were only going to get worse, and we would not want to witness it (especially the kids). Maybe that's something to share with your H. Hugs to your whole family.

Awww I’m sorry about your dog tgrimes ❤️ I have been so busy lately that I missed that you guys got the house inthekitty !!!! Congrats!!!!🎉 We are taking a break from the house and hanging at the mall. I hope everyone our flight is happy because I’ve bought about a million new toys to keep them happy for the duration. 💸💸💸 |

I believe we've had this conversation before, but I do not like key lime. Yuck. I never would've guessed that. We usually seem to be on the same page with food. I know! That's why I commented on it. Ha ha ha! |

tgrimes I agree with you, quality of life is important. It is not fair to the animal to keep them around if they will experience nothing but suffering.

I'm upset that the vet made him think that she was going to improve but it would take a couple weeks. So now he thinks we should give her some time. I think we need a 2nd opinion. |

Talk with another vet. I would be more heartbroken if I thought the dog had a chance and it turned out they didn't and suffered. |

Hiiiii! I'm going to try to keep up to date this week - I felt so out of the loop last week.
Anyhow after nodding along to all the talk about being disconnected last night, DH and I had a real productive talk. It was awkward and ugly crying BUT it feels so good to have just put it all out there. We have a lot of work ahead of us and we need to be better about not waiting until things get bad to start talking. But it's a start. Plus we're heading off for an anniversary trip in just over 2 weeks, and it'll be a whole lot less tense now!
In other news, I saw a bear on my run this morning. It's actually the first time that's happened, or more likely it's the first time I NOTICED one.
Work's been super productive today, just trying to play catch-up after last week. I'll also be travelling to and from Calgary next Monday and Friday, so I'm trying to get a jump on that bit of lost time.

In other news, I contacted 4 beekeepers about the neighbor's bees, and my neighbor doesn't seem to think it's an issue. She offered to split the cost with me?? Am I being crazy... it's her house, not mine. I thought she would thank me for the info and take care of it.
At this point, I don't even care, and I would pay for half of it, just to get rid of them.

Yo.
The weekend was good but exhausting and I was going to call in this morning and take a vacation day but the eaves were going to be worked on, and no thank you to listening to cutting metal all day long. I'd rather be here.
Yesterday was super busy, I dont know where the time goes. Started with B handing MH the gift bag and yelling 'BBQ stuff', and J carrying around the LUSH stuff, so everyone loved it. Mowed the lawn and cleaned the house in the morning, then B and I headed to my Dad's grave during J's nap. I really love that B and I have a good routine of going there.
We bought a little pool a couple weeks ago and set it up and the kids had a blast, they ran between that, playing ball and chilling on the hammock yesterday. B went to soccer and scored a goal! He was still talking about it this morning, cutie.

Vino and Nam, you're sweet to ask! All is well. She isn't sure what's going on, but no sign of infection so she thinks it'll just go away. We will go back Wed if it's not gone or sooner if it gets worse. It doesn't seem to be bothering her at all though luckily!

vino, and klong11 I love how involved your kids are with their grandfathers, even though they are not here with them. S has no real understanding of his grandmother (MH Mom) who passed long ago. We have never brought him to her grave (in fact, I've only been 1 time, with MH, and he had trouble finding it b/c it had been so long since he had been. He knows that he gets his blue eyes from her, but that's about the only thing he knows. And I think it's more complicated b/c MH father remarried so he has a "grandmother" from daddy. I dunno, I am rambling, but just trying to figure out how to keep her more in our lives, and it's hard, since I never knew her.

I will throw all my monies at it! Although the last beekeeper I talked to said he was going to call them and explain to them why they need to be moved, what damage they will do, etc. Hopefully he gets through to them! |
