I just destroyed myself by listening to audio of a little girl being separated from her family. I really can't understand how this is happening.

Poor baby Snoop. 😞 WTF to your neighbors jewels. That's like a house of horrors. And effort no to them offering to go halfies with you. This isn't a fence, it's an infestation on THEIR property. The nerve. I would have been grateful for the info and got on it with one of those beekeepers if I were them. This. What the hell is that weirdo thinking. I'd tell her she needs to pay for it and if she won't, I'd complain to the city about it being a public nuisance. Unbelievable. ETA: I see chrisy01 and I are mind twins.

I hate banana everything. I can tolerate them in banana bread but that's about it. Worst fruit ever.

chrisy01 this AC situation gets worse by the minute. Apparently, because of where it's situated, we need a crane to get it up to the third floor. It will require several city permits and necessities blocking off the street. Nightmarish.

Hola. We're sitting out here with the kids while they swim. It's cooled off enough that in the shade under a ceiling fan it's fairly pleasant. High of 98 tomorrow--not delightful. lahdeedah I can't remember when you posted about it but you mentioned you were looking for new swimsuits. I don't know if you need a 1-piece but I actually bought two from Target last week, and am so happy with them! I was eyeing some at JCrew but they were back-ordered til almost August :/ and i wanted them to use now. I'll probably still buy something a bit 'fancier' for our trip in the fall, but for just hanging out with the kids these are great. Good to know, thanks! I was looking at a few JCrew suits last week and I was bummed that the colors I wanted were back ordered, too.

I hate banana everything. I can tolerate them in banana bread but that's about it. Worst fruit ever. A banana daiquiri is delicious. It puts pina colada and strawberry to shame. A salty rimmed margarita is always the first choice, but banana is a very close second.

Well that sucks cagoldi. Tell me, again, why the addition is better than moving. Is it the outrageous real estate prices in your area?

I, too, hate banana flavored anything. I only like barely ripe bananas, but once they start to get all the brown spots, no bueno. I do like them in my smoothie for balance, but that’s it.

Bus live blog: A pregnant woman was the first, and only person for a while, to get up and move to ensure the passenger in their wheelchair had the proper spot. Everyone else look dumbfounded, moved, got settled in their new spots and left the pregnant lady standing.
They’ve met their match today. Someone will bail me out, yes?

Well that sucks cagoldi. Tell me, again, why the addition is better than moving. Is it the outrageous real estate prices in your area? Pretty much. We bought when the prices were good and I never imagined I would have three kids so where to put all these children was never a calculation at all. My mortgage is really cheap. So are property taxes since our purchase price was so low. To get a SFR that is reasonable driving distance to Pete's office (so an hour commute each way = within 15 miles of his work) with enough space and that wouldn't need any major work, in a decent neighborhood, school district, etc. would probably be $700,000. At minimum. If I want to find that in my neighborhood, probably $750,000 -$800,000. And we're not talking anything fancy. I just can't afford that kind of payment when I'm still paying for DC.

snoopmommymom poor girl! vino, what a sweet boy your B is. That made me tear up too. And that’s great advice. MH doesn’t remember a ton about her but his sister does and I always bombard her w questions. We have a pic up but it’s not in a room S spends a lot of time in. I will have to add one and make it a priority to bring her up more.

Thanks for not making me feel crazy guys. I am now trying to get a response from them. 🤞
I didn’t want to ‘threaten’ but that’s exactly what MH just suggested if they don’t change their tune

@snoop yep... it totally gets worse looking. When Letty had it MH was home so I went out of town for 2 days and when I got back I was shocked at how bad it looked. Hopefully the worst is over!

While pregnant I've only had a few people offer me their seat on the bus. I always refused (quick ride) and ONE time a college age girl got up anyway and insisted. I wanted to write a letter to her parents telling them they raised a great daughter lol.

vino , and klong11 I love how involved your kids are with their grandfathers, even though they are not here with them. S has no real understanding of his grandmother (MH Mom) who passed long ago. We have never brought him to her grave (in fact, I've only been 1 time, with MH, and he had trouble finding it b/c it had been so long since he had been. He knows that he gets his blue eyes from her, but that's about the only thing he knows. And I think it's more complicated b/c MH father remarried so he has a "grandmother" from daddy. I dunno, I am rambling, but just trying to figure out how to keep her more in our lives, and it's hard, since I never knew her. I make a point of ensuring that they know how amazing my Dad was, TBH I probably say it's for them but I'm doing it for me, probably to deal with my grief. We talk about him a lot, things that he liked, what he was good at and B knows that he can ask to go there at any time and I'll take him. Grandparents are a lot of the talk at daycare because he told me that he was talking about Gido with his friends and told them 'I'm a good golfer just like Gido was, and sometimes Gido teaches me golf when I close my eyes'. I mean, cue tears. Ask YH if it is important to talk about her, find out things she liked, find a picture and before you know it there will be exactly one million questions. Oh my word. He is the sweetest. Obviously because he has you as a mom and Gido to look up to.

I’m sorry about your doggie tgrimes. Blech to key lime pie and YES YES YES to banana bread. Those of you who don’t like bananas are srsly missing out on the best frozen drink of all time, the dirty monkey.

jewels Cadence got 3 amazing years with my Dad. They had an immediate bond. I was also super close with him. We were the three musketeers. He was the one person I knew I could say anything to and there would be no judgement. Because we had such a close connection it is easy to keep him in our daily lives.

I saw the articles and first reaction was I really don't want to listen to this, but I feel like we need to bear witness to their suffering and every one needs to hear this bc it's happening and we can do something about it or put our heads in the sand bc it makes us sad.

That’s great @klongoria - she’s lucky to have you to keep him a part of your lives. Honestly, I think part of why MH remembers so little of his mom is that his dad sort of shut down when she died. It makes me so sad. It sounds like she was a wonderful person and I need to do a better job at keeping her memory alive with the boys. Thankfully I have his sister who remembers a lot and loves to talk about her

Shit just keeps getting worse with the timeline for our house. The crew doing our basement backed out this morning. They were supposed to start this morning..... I'm just so fucking done. And now A and I are fighting. Fun.
