So the Charlottesville rally people just got approved to hold another in DC on August 11-12th: thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/393366-charlottesville-organizer-plans-white-civil-rights-rally-in-dc I know free speech and all that, but this is hate speech, and I am REALLY disappointed that their request got approved. >.< Is there anything we can do? Any action plan? (As a side note, I'm already supposed to be in DC that weekend for a huge anime/fandom convention at the DC convention center (attracts 20k+ people) that the local con I staff for has a table at. Given the demographics of the event I could certainly see clashes occurring.) |

Forgive me as I don't know what PUC is. Also if cable companies were truly compliant we would all have unlimited speed internet as they do in Europe. T1 lines have been running in Europe where they have actual laws to get high speed internet to everyone. To put it into comparison most people in the USA pay for a 25MBPS to 50 MBPS connection. In Europe, for less they pay for unlimited speed which can be up to 1000 times faster. Same with your cellphone carrier. But that is another issue. To be Clear: In the US --> $50 = 25 Megabytes download / 5 Megabytes upload In Europe -->$20 = Unlimited speed up to 2 GIGAbytes down (i.e. 2000 Megabytes). I encourage everyone to check all your cable/phone bills and go onto your suppliers website and check and see if that is how they charge. We are at a VAST disadvantage. PUC - public utilities commission, they check power, natural gas. etc., and any rate increases or decreases have to go through them before they can be implemented. Basically they can run unchecked here. I can see how that can be an issue but its a board of people who aren't infallible and are not supplied with Secret Service. They can be convinced by the public with outrage. It maybe something to bring up at your next counsel meeting. Would be a nice chunk of people to add to the class action. |

these immigration votes today are going to be an absolute cluster. The freedom caucus loves to move the goal posts and make the Speaker look like a fool and the moderates are treated like traitors if they even so much as consider reaching across the aisle. It would almost be amusing to watch House Republicans fail so spectacularly yet again if it weren't for the fact that they're playing with people's lives. The Freedom Caucus is part of the #ChristianShariaLaw of this country. They equate to the Guardian Counsel of Iran it sounds like. They move and manipulate what Republicans can do based on their religious beliefs. NPR has a good "Ask Coukie" section today about the separation between Church and state. Check the Trump Supporters and die hard conservatives and they will argue to the death this is a Christian country. The founding fathers put into law and public record that this is NOT a Christian country. |

How do you merge those two extremely different departments with completely different goals, demographics, etc.??? We dont need no education They are just going to give them rudimentary skills and send them to the coal mines and steel mills. I mean thats what made america great, right? Can I get some rebuttal help from you wonderfully smart and informed people? I got into a debate last night about the child separation policy with a right leaning friend. He says that although he believes the families should not be separated, some of the messaging from the right gave him pause because they are reporting that children are being used as pawns in border crossings by presenting them as family when they are actually being trafficked. So by that logic, a temporary separation allows for confirmation that the children are not trafficking victims.
FTR, I believe this is complete fear mongering bullshit, but I struggled with a comeback last night.

There is a younger lady that does special events as well, but the older is apparently quite revered in the KJU world of state tv. (there was a thing during the summit) |
