@snoomommymom that’s sounds like HFM. They can’t do anything for it at the doctor unfortunately if you want to save yourself the trip. Has she had a fever? Do you have a pic?

I took her in right when it opened at 10. Yes it’s HFM. I don’t know what we are going to do with her all week now. I just took time off for o.

We had a pretty slow morning. The kids were up early, so we opened presents (a new food processor because he wants to make hummus all summer,a few polos, and a picture). I made eggs for everyone and then took the kids to Target to give mh a couple hours alone.
We're playing with water toys and soaking up a little sun now.
It's a lazy day.

Did they say you had top keep her home? Did she have a fever? All drs seem to say something different. As long as E was eating and fever free he could go.

Some drs say as long as they’re fever free and some say once the blisters have popped and are drying up. Your daycare might have guidelines though.

Has she had a fever at all? When did you notice the spots?

I bought some new shirts for mh this morning at his request. He then remembered a shirt on his closet just like it that he didn't wear because its losing a button. He has never mentioned this to me but said he was hoping SD could fix it next visit. Uh, I can sew a button man! But what I can't do is find my sewing kit.

The Dr said once she is fever free she could go back. She has a low grade fever yesterday and today. Only like 100. I noticed the spots a bit yesterday but they mostly popped up over night.

The Dr also said the school probably won’t let her come back if they see the rash. I guess i need to find out what their policy is.

Do you guys think they aren’t contagious after the fever is gone? Sunny41 too. I’m hoping we don’t get it and want to know when we are in the clear.

The dr said it’s not touching the spots that makes you get it but coming into contact with her saliva.

Oh and of course as soon as we got home O found the half eaten pouch she was just eating and put his mouth on it to eat it.

It’s coming into contact with the blisters, her saliva and he poop. I read a study that said they still found it in the poop 6 weeks later. So wash your hands a lot.

When M got it, I had to keep her home a week & she didn’t even have a bad case of it.

snoopmommymom honestly it's one of those situations you do what you feel comfortable with. She probably got them at daycare so it is probably all over there anyways. I feel like this is the summer sickness. Hopefully O has enough peak in his immune system right now he doesn't get it. Maybe if she doesn't have blisters in her mouth then he will be ok.

C has been a mile a minute all day but had fun at ninja, did awesome for his staple removal, and played well with his cousins at the cookout. We just rented Black Panther and are winding down with a movie before an early bedtime. This weekend flew by and I am not psyched about going back to work already tomorrow.

It's about 100° here today. So hot. I got burnt at soccer and then we went to a friend's pool. The backyard is full sun and it was so hot, even with the pool! Hoping for early bedtimes!

I'm taking Pete out to our favorite wine bar but wasn't able to get a babysitter until next Sunday night.

You can have mine. I'd pay someone to take it at this point. Our curtains in the living room fell out of the wall today. We're lucky Sinny and the kids weren't nearby.

We have been out in the 100° heat all day. I suggested baths, videos and early bedtime. MH insisted on more outside play and a walk until usual bedtime. I bet you're all shocked that C is throwing an epic tantrum right now! And is still very dirty.

Today was not great. I got sunburned yesterday and I couldn’t sleep last night between that and my cold. C got up at 5:30 and since it was Father’s Day, I got up with him. When he went to nap at noon, I slept for a bit. Woke up with a temp of 99.8 on the temporal thermometer but I don’t know if it was just the sunburn. Then we went to DS’s hockey game. We arrived at the rink and realized his hockey bag was home. I had to have my dad race it up to the rink even though he was waiting for his cousin to arrive from Florida. I still don’t know what I’m wearing to the funeral, went to the store but didn’t find anything. I’m hoping to get a decent night sleep tonight.

YES, at least in my case. I feel like all our time and energy is on the kids, house, work, ect. It's really hard to think about us and our relationship. I also feel like when one of us is in the full force "let's connect" stage, the other is pissed off and annoyed about something(s), which just brings out more feelings that aren't great.

We're pretty much here, too. I don't feel disconnected at all, but it feels like were just so much busier (and then ultimately exhausted)

We went to Disneyland to take a photo with my dad on Dumbo. E, C and I left after lunch and L stayed with my parents to ride on a few rides.
