ILs are due in after lunch so I need to get motivated. I stayed at book club too long last night and I’m dragging a bit.

So book club was...not really a book club 😂. I think we discussed the book and related subjects for maybe 10 minutes, out of 3 hours?

Nice group of ladies, though, so I’ll keep trying. I think everyone wanted to get to know one another a bit—which is totally fine! But I do enjoy a little more discussion.

Our St Augustine vaca was great! I had super low expectations for it and it totally exceeded. We may even go back next year- lol.
C is in underwear at school today. I’m hoping this ends well. And hoping I didn’t just jinx it.

flamingo, so what did you all do the rest of the time at book club? My old boss used to be in one and admits they mostly just gossiped and drank wine. Maybe I need to join a book club...

Basically, lol. This was the first meeting and it was all Navy wives so we mostly just exchanged ‘war stories’, talked about our families, and drank wine.

ETA: My mom’s book club has been together for 10-15 years and is very structured. There is a facilitator each month that has some questions/talking points ready, and each meeting has a half hour or so ‘social time’ before the discussion actually starts, then they all go to lunch afterwards for more social time. I’d be fine with something between the two extremes!

Good morning!
I took today off work, DH just took N to school and I have a hair appointment at 10am so I’m just relaxing until I have to leave for that.
After school we’re taking N to see the Incredibles 2, he is super excited which is a nice change from the way he’s been lately.

Morning ladies and Happy Friday! I got my bonus today so I'm already writing out my Target list to go over lunch!

I'm going to stop and get groceries on the way home from work tonight, we have a busy weekend and if I don't get them tonight, I won't end up going. Since I didn't go last weekend, our fridge is already pretty empty. Tomorrow is our HOA block party, it starts at 1pm, with bounce houses and a dunk tank. It's BYOB, but BBQ is catered in. We had a great time last year, so I'm looking forward to it, except that it's supposed to be almost 100 tomorrow. Sunday we are going to the ball game, again, hot AF, but shade.

Well we’re making a habit of this being early and driving around new neighbourhoods, but it was all worth is this morning when these littles were out, the kids were sooooo excited

You guys, one of my dogs pissed on the carpet in our bedroom. H noticed the smell last night, so I got down on my hands and knees, I didn't notice the smell. Yep, sure as shit, one of those assholes peed. So I'm back to my vinegar/water spray and baking soda. I'm also on the hunt for another dog kennel. If I don't find one on FB marketplace this morning, I'm buying one at lunch and they're going to be locked up during the day and night. I'm so pissed that they're already trying to ruin our new carpet.

Morning! It’s going to be a beautiful day! We will probably have a lazy morning, play outside in our yard or whatever. After nap we are meeting my sister at a swimming pool.

Kids are at the sitters. I'm buried in paperwork. Then I have to mow and clean and do laundry and get ready for my moms work party she's hosting tomorrow. Which means I'm hosting.. I'm not looking forward to it. But she's baby sitting tonight so we can go out to make up for it.

Morning! My mom and sister are on their way over and we are going for a run and then out to lunch. I really don't feel like running!

I normally never feel like running but a run actually sounds nice now. I have some pent up energy. Last night we went to taekwondo but it was just MH and me for the evening adult class but it was nice because he was able to give me individual instruction (he's an advanced blue belt and I'm just a beginner white belt). So I got to practice my poomsae (giggles--I'm 12 and that term always sounds dirty to me). I also got to punch and kick the bags which felt good.

cheeksmum enjoy the movie! We're rewatching the first one tonight and watching the new one after soccer tomorrow. My shirt arrived so I'm just waiting on MH's Incredible Dad shirt to arrive today.

Morning! E slept almost 4 hours straight last night. Lo's school is having a daddy's night tonight so C and my dad will be going. Not sure what else we are going to do today.

Morning. It's slow at work today and I'm not mad about it, except the day is going to seem so long. Not much planned for the weekend except getting prepped for our trip next weekend. I also have to put some decorations together for M2's birthday. And now I'm in my feelings about my baby turning one...

Hi! Left my phone at home this morning, so I am still catching up. H has a summer Friday today, so we went to Starbucks and looked at fire pits for him for father's day. I need to do some gardening this afternoon. I have some rouge pumpkins that need to be removed from my raised bed, stat!

Other than that trying to take it easy, I'm exhausted.

Hi all, tgif. If N could cut these bottom sharp teeth, that'd be great. Her screaming is intense at 4am.

We are kind of sucking as parents right now, just need to get through another week. I'm stressed about work and classwork and I'm paying attention to the news and it's just depressing AF. Hopefully some exercise this weekend will help clear my head.

Hi from my own couch, underneath the boys. I'm so glad to be home! We checked both boys out of daycare for the rest of the day after Colin's graduation (so many tears) to take them out to lunch and then to smother them by in hugs. I'm so tired, I will probably regret taking them home.

I'm actually not sure. I looked at themes to do for a beach celebration, but nothing jumped out at me. I need to go buy scrapbook paper and materials to make his birthday hat, so whatever I find there is probably what I will do. I think I'm not too worried about it since it's not a real party. Just a little celebration the day of.
