So guys we had no blasts on day 5. 6 of the 11 arrested, 5 are still growing but slowly. Nothing could be biopsied or frozen yesterday. I'm hoping at least one of the 5 makes it to blast today. I'm so sorry you're in limbo. Fx for some Day 6ers today!

So glad everything looked good at your lining check, Dogpaddle29. And that everything worked out timing wise for you. Rooting so hard for your one, bonzo. How long until results come back? Awesome news, fikafairy. One of our second opinion RE's suggested the ERA, birch113. I asked the RE we chose his thoughts on it and he didn't recommend it, but said he would ask about it at the convention he is going to in July. Plus we decided against it since we'd have to pay the cost of the FET and meds. We're OOP so this shit adds up fast! Let me know how it goes. I think mommybumblebee is currently doing one. Also, join us on the DOR check-in. I am so sorry. It really is a shitty diagnosis, but it's not totally dismal ((HUGS)) Congrats on being PUPO, kyzo. And yay for 5 frozen. Hope monitoring went well today, lemonliz. <3 bananas22, I am keeping everything crossed for your 8. I'm sorry, nikiswims. The wait to see how many embryos makes it is so stressful. Rooting for your five and hope they are where they need to be today.

We got approval to cycle again! I just got my protocol, and it's a micro dose Lupron flare protocol. DOR ladies, is this really preferred over an antagonist protocol? My AMH was .6, FSH was 10.83, and AFC was ~6 per ovary if I remember correctly. babyhopes, I'll definitely join you guys on the DOR check in!

nikiswims, I am sorry you lost some and things are going slowly for the others, but my doctor said just because they aren't ready day 5 does not mean much, if they make it to day 6 and look good he told me they are very strong embryos. I hope you get a few to freeze today or tomorrow.

birch113, My first cycle was MDLF and I had zero response and was cancelled. But they also had me on 14 days of BC before that. I had better results with estrogen priming protocol with no BC. We had two mature eggs. I think I may be a weird case though since I know a lot of other ladies have had good results with MDLF. I think the bigger issue is the BCP before.

That sucks, I'm sorry you were cancelled. I'm only going to be on BCP for 7 days, so hopefully it doesn't screw me up.

Hi all - I officially called my RE today to request to be added to the August cycling batch, so I guess it's time to officially emerge from lurkdom and join the check-in. Some background: I am 35 years old (DH is 42) and we've been TTC since December 2014. I have mild endo but otherwise no other factors that we've been able to discover. I had a lap in Nov. 2015, and started with the RE in Dec. 2015. I've done a ton of medicated TI cycles (mostly with Femara - two cycles with Clomid was plenty for me) but no success - I was typically a good responder though, so I'm hoping I respond well for IVF as well. The RE did not think that IUI would improve my chances over TI enough to justify the OOP expense, so we are skipping over those and going to IVF. I'm checking my AMH and progesterone again this month (just going natural this cycle), so I'm hoping my AMH hasn't dropped too much since last year - at that time, it was pretty average for my age.
If all goes according to plan, I should start BCP in July. We did a consult way back in January and he thought we should give it another 6 months before moving to IVF. The protocol will be BCP, then Lupron, then adding in Menopur, Gonal-F, and Omnitrope. His plan is to do at least half ICSI and they'll make a judgement call on the other half. He prefers to transfer two at my age, and we're on board with that plan. I am currently alternating between being very confident in our decision to move forward and having panic attacks about it. But I think it's time.

Hi birch113! So I am also DOR. My FSH was 19.5, AMH was .4, AFC was 11. I did two banking cycles. One was antagonist and one was Stop Lupron. Stop Lupron isn't quite the micro dose Lupron flare, but it's sort of the same premise. I had basically the same outcome for both. I'll put the numbers below so you can see the differences! Antagonist Protocol: 6 retrieved, 5 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts. One normal after PGS, which is my 14 month old. (Embryo was graded 5AA) Stop Lupron Protocol: 7 retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized, 2 blasts. One normal after PGS, which is still frozen. (Embryo was graded 5AA, just beginning to hatch) Please feel free to message or bat-signal me if you have questions! Also, lemonliz is like the smartest lady ever when it comes to protocols. She's super helpful! Wishing you all the luck in the world with your upcoming cycle!

Welp, I spoke too soon. I had just called and left a message with the nurse (in January he said to do that and they'd get everything rolling) and she just called back. The hospital is doing construction in the NICU, which is near-ish to the embryology lab, in August, so they are not doing an August cycle and it will instead be in late September. So we're going to go ahead and do the mock transfer and a repeat saline sono in July and go from there.

daisy818 I'm sorry for the delay. So frustrating. shananagins thanks so much for sharing! It's good to hear you has similar outcomes. I've been really worried about a worse outcome this cycle. Were your number of days stimming similar?

I did MDLF when my AMH was 1.4. FSH 9.8. I was diagnosed as DOR as my LLP cycle was cancelled due to poor response. I ended up with 8R, 7M, 7F. We ended up with two 5 day hatching blats. Fresh was BFN. **loss mentioned** Fair blast was ectopic. **end mention** Did Antagonist in November. AMH was 0.5 and FSH 10.5. 8R,6F, and ended up with three BB blasts. Some people respond better to MDLF and others Antagonist. +1 to what shananagins said about lemonliz. She is very knowledgeable about the different protocols and can definitely point you in the right direction.

I've tried MDLF and I don't think it was MY best protocol but the really weird thing about DOR is that some people do better with MDLF and some people do better with EPP and there's no telling which one you are! I am definitely better with EPP. My friend k1111k did better with MDLF. Some people do a combo of the two. I would ask about that! What day do you normally ovulate on? If you have the kind of DOR like me where even before CD1 you might start developing a follicle already, EPP is definitely worth a shot. If you're a late ovulater and your periods are erratic already, it seems like MDLF seems better.

Were your number of days stimming similar? ***grad*** birch113 I would have to track down my notes but I *think* I stimmed for 13 days for antagonist and 14 days for Lupron Stop! After our antagonist cycle produced two blasts, I was petrified to try something different. I remember arguing with my nurse and saying that if this worked, why not do it again? She sat and explained why my RE felt that this could be a strong protocol for me. Listening to her break it down helped me feel better. (And as an added bonus, the meds were less expensive by about $1k.) I don't regret switching it up :-) babyhopes, I miss you too!!!!!!!! Love you, lady!!!

lemonliz my cycles have varied by a few days to a week, but I generally ovulate between CD12 and CD14. Thanks so much for the info!! shananagins that's really good to hear! Thanks, lady!
