So I have 3 girls, plus myself, with full heads of curly hair. We all love to swim and spend a lot of time at the pool in summer. My problem lies in dealing with the 5 y/o. This is her hair: She is tenderheaded. Wash day is torture for both of us. I cannot, repeat CANNOT, wash this child's hair after every swim. What can I put in it to protect it from chlorine between washes?

Will she wear a swim cap? All 3 of mine have to wear a cap in the pool. I'll see if I can find the ones we have, hold on

We did not have great success with the swim cap last year, but I'm willing to give it another shot. Thanks for the link @zweber.

Let me preface this with I am a swimmer, swim instructor, Lifeguard, swim coach! I would put fresh lemon juice in her conditioner and do a co-wash!
ETA: have conditioner with lemon juice which naturally neutralizes chlorine, rinse, regular conditioner! I have 3c hair! Deep condition once a week to maintain moisture!
Unfortunately, most swim caps don't prevent water from seeping in.
