What does your feeding schedule look like lately? Have you started solids? How many bottles and oz per day and when do you fit in solids?

We started solids at 4 months at the advice of the gi doc and allergist due to poor weight gain and also severe allergies in my dd. We just bumped it up to twice a day- usually a puree mixed in oatmeal. About a 2 oz portion at a time. Bottles are usually 4-5 oz each and maybe 7 a day. Still wakes up to eat at night once or twice. I don't know if I should be giving the solids before or after a bottle.

B eats 6x a day: wakeup, 4 bottles at daycare, bedtime. Bottles are 4.5oz each. We haven't started solids yet but plan to a little before 6 months.
ETA: B is ebf. I can't remember if it's around now that some formula fed babies start to consume more oz than those on bm?

I'm intrigued because dd's weight gain has dramatically slowed down and she's in the 4th percentile now. The doc mentioned starting solids early but I think he meant after her weight check if it didn't go well.
Did you see the GI doc just for weight gain or because of the family allergy history?

I'm breastfeeding so I'm trying to feed her every 2-3 hours and not allowing longer 3+ hour stretches during the day since her weight gain is slowing down. When I dropped the swaddle the other week I fed her every time she woke up to give her extra calories. Previously she had been getting up once and had sttn a handful of times. When ds started solids I was told to do solids first and then offer a bottle/boob Bunny

W eats 6-7oz every 3 hours (about 36-40oz per day), pretty consistently. We've started letting him nom on some things because he keeps trying to shark attack our food if we're holding him and eating. He has gummed some cooked broccoli and celery, some avocado, and I let him chew on carrots because he acts like he's teething.
ETA: Is mine the only one eating this much?? Maybe he's eating too much.....He's not giant but he puts the food away O.O

M eats at 7, 10, 1:30, 4:30, and 7. She either breast feeds or has a 5 oz bottle of breastmilk. We're waiting until 6 months to start solids.

I'm breastfeeding every 2-3 hours. I give him a bit of oatmeal with a puree in it 1-2 times a day. Generally I nurse then offer him solids. I'll probably switch that in a couple weeks.

L is nursing at 6:30, then 4 bottles (4.5 oz of bm), then once or twice in the evening before bed. He nurses 1-2 times MOTN. This feels like a lot and yet he is still slower on the weight gain than many babies.
We won't start solids until 6 months, we did BLW with my first and loved it, so that is our plan with this one. I had always heard formula/bm before a meal of solids? I thought it had more calories/nutrients so you don't want them to fill up on food first, but I could be wrong.

R is exclusively breastfed and is working on excepting bottles, so oddly I have no idea how much she drinks during the day. It's really random sometimes she can go a couple of hours and be fine but in the evening she clustering feeding fool. She doesn't normally wake up in the middle of the night just one early morning feed maybe around 4:30ish. We started solids today because she really is showing signs of wanting to. It was just a few spoons of peach purée but she enjoyed it. I think I mentioned earlier that she's one of the older babies I'm assuming because she was actually born in December so that's why we are trying it now.

Nursing on demand, about 6x/day. We got the green light to start solids but she isn't a fan just yet!

The doc mentioned starting solids early but I think he meant after her weight check if it didn't go well. Did you see the GI doc just for weight gain or because of the family allergy history? im sorry you are struggling with weight gain! Basically at about 2 weeks old t would start screaming and arching his back after every bottle. I thought it was colic but the pedi said probably reflux and started Zantac at about a month. He got a lot better initially but then started worsening again, and in addition to crying a lot he stopped eating much. Went from 30 oz a day and 65 percentile to 16 oz a day and 30th percentile. Borderline on grams per day he was supposed to gain. So we saw gi and she started nexium, and we had to concentrate his formula. He was also placed on prescription formula that has no milk product. That was also when we were told to start solids. He is doing a lot better now, and always above 24 oz a day. But there was about a 4 week period when he would take 16-20 oz when he was supposed to take 24-32 oz. he has since improved and is stable at about 40th percentile.

No solids yet but if he's anything like his brother he'll put solids away on top of full milk feeds

Ummm...schedule? I feed on demand when I'm at home and W eats about 4 oz every three hours when I'm at work. But I think we might start upping that because he dropped percentiles from his two month appointment to now. Had his 4 month appointment later because of how full appts were.
