Anyone have a good brisket recipe? I have never made it before but I guess I’m making it for supper on Father’s Day.

We did not end up going to the pool today because their was a surprise rain. We went to a friend’s house to hang out instead. After supper we went on a family walk and stopped at the park. There were a bunch of elementary aged kids there, probably like 2nd grade I’d guess, who were talking about very inappropriate things. And of course their parents weren’t anywhere to be found. We didn’t stay long.

cagoldi if it gets hotter my couch turns into a bed so they can have a camp out over here. Oh man they would love that! Pete went out and got a small AC for their room because it's too hot as it is but there is no way I was going to put a feverish child in an 85 degree room to sleep. I suggested his dad's, my dad's, or a hotel but he decided on a little window unit and had it all set up before bath time so we should be okay. |

We all took tomorrow off and we’re heading to sesame place. I hope the kids love it! Neither watch Sesame Street but I still think it will be super fun. It’s supposed to be Great weather so I’m hopeful!

I had dinner with one of my high school besties. I had a couple beers and salad, we left so I could make sure and be home to meet MIL and Evie by 8. I had plenty of time, so had a beer at my friend's house, when I got the text that MILs car was dead about 15 minutes from me. AAA was going to be over an hour, so I made sure I had my jumper cables, and went to save them. It's been an eternity since Ive needed or had to jump start someone, but I got it done with a text from my H for confirmation.

It all gets real when they go to elementary. That's why I have no problem having late birthdays and having them home another year. The things my kid has learned on the bus--sheesh. She said something the other day about "the F word" and I thought there's no way she knows the actual word so I asked what she means and my sweet angelic child replied "fuck." I was definitely older elementary before I'd heard that word. trtlcrzy we have a park right across the street and it's completely normal for kids around 6+ to be there by themselves. I have no problem telling the older ones to watch their mouths around little ones. They usually straighten up right away. |

I said the "F word" the other day and Cadence told me she didn't like when I said things like that. So, I guess she somehow knows it's a bad word, but she's never said it.
