The pink elephant scene used to give me nightmares. I'm not sure I can handle that love action. Plus, would that require elephant actors or will they all be cgi?

Morning. nam2013 That is very different from here in the states. Congrats to your niece and good luck to your nephew! I'm trying not to be super annoyed at work today. There is someone that is supposed to start any patients that are scheduled before my arrival time at work and it wasn't done. So now all my other studies will be backed up. My schedule is pretty light, so it won't be that bad, but I'm now in a mood and trying to turn this around.

Morning! Yesterday was H's last day of paternity leave, so I got everyone where they needed to go on my own today. Baby Bea and I are finally at our final destination: Starbucks. My couch is coming today and I am pumped. Plus I have new Pottery Barn backpacks coming for the kids (just in time, since my son's broke yesterday), and a Nordstrom delivery for me. It's Christmas in June! Other than that I am going to nap later and read new books from my library haul yesterday. Rough life

Since we were just talking about Disney movies yesterday, have y’all seen they’re making a live-action version of Dumbo? The trailer just popped up on my FB, I think Tim Burton is involved. Seriously? Are they taking out the racist crows? What about the drunk/hallucination scenes???

Morning ladies. Good luck to your nephew nam2013 . I would be so nervous if so much was riding on a few tests. It sounds like the finals they have in Harry Potter. I'm forgetting the name of them now. xolastunicornxo , glad your household is plague-free now! Ugh, just read up on Bode Miller's family. Heartbreaking. I know accidents happen and mostly I'm just sad for their family because they will likely always have guilt and regret, but dang I remember never letting my kids out of sight at that age in a setting that wasn't childproofed. And maybe there were safety measures that failed. A very sad situation. My husband has an interview today!! He's going to drop Cass off with me during lunch. It's a position for a preschool teacher--I don't know how many hours a week. If we have to we'll put Cass in before/after care at her school. This would be perfect for him. He loves working with kids that age and it'd be great if it could turn into a full-time position in the future. Madison has been doing me in at bedtime. She's been having nightmares, but also not helping herself by working herself up into complete dramatics every night. She's about to do me in. I'm going to try melatonin every night for a couple of nights to try to get her back on track. I'm hoping if she sleeps too deeply to remember her dreams it will help her reset.

Hi all. Morning.
We were early again this morning leaving the house so I took a tour around the 'estate homes' in a new build area. OMG I am in love, and there happens to be one for sale....or I could build my own for way less. Hmmmmmmm.

I really liked the live action Jungle Book (it was on Netflix), but I found Beauty and the Beast so boring. Emma Watson didn't have the voice for the songs. She was just really boring all around and kind of monotone.

The Bode Miller story is heartbreaking. I am so terrified of bodies of water for this reason. I just have too many little ones to ever feel completely safe, because it can happen so fast. When we were looking at houses I told H no to anything on the water and no pools that were not completely fenced. I even vetoed one with a creek in the back. Those things can flood!

Good Luck to YH inthekitty ! lfig I kinda love the idea of having generations of dogs in the generations of your family. I wonder does it make losing a pet a little less painful? I was watching videos of my dog playing with my kids when they were babies and I just miss his little personality.

Does anyone here use solid shampoo and conditioner bars? Wondering how well they work.

Re: Bode Miller story, I have been so upset by that too. I just can't even imagine.
We were at a party on Saturday and they had a pool. I was alone with both kids and literally didn't sit down for 1 second b/c I was so terrified about B running into the pool.
S had some swim lessons, but is not a super strong swimmer, and I think would panic if anything happened. B has never had a lesson b/c I'm always alone with the kids and all the lessons for his age are with a parent. I can't do it b/c I'd have nothing to do w/ S... I need to figure out a plan though, so he can have lessons, b/c he loves the water and I need him to learn how to be safe.

Does anyone here use solid shampoo and conditioner bars? Wondering how well they work. Haven't tried the shampoo because I can't use sulfate and all the ones at LUSH contain those. Not sure about the conditioners. When they come up in the Zero-Waste Vegans groups, everyone loves the idea but those who have used the shampoos find them too drying.

X had his ENT visit yesterday and they decided his adenoids should come out during surgery to place his ear tubes.
He woke up feeling warm and had green, crusty nasal discharge this morning so that solidifies for me it's the right thing to do.
We'll be going to the pedi for a suspected sinus infection and Rocephin injections if she confirms that diagnosis.
Fun stuff.
But he is his cheerful, angelic self so hopefully he's not too uncomfortable and after surgery next month we'll be seeing far less of this.
The AC repair guy should be here anytime. Hopefully it's not some astronomical amount to fix it, but Pete left me a blank check and said he doesn't care what it costs, get it done ASAP.

Wait, so this is another Jungle Book, not JB 2 or something? From the looks of it it's a different kid and basically the same story. Lame. Although it has Christian Bale so I might be able to watch it. CB always seemed the type who was too stuck up for major Hollywood stuff, like he wanted to get out of the Batman franchise as soon as possible even though he was the best one. I haven't seen him in anything lately and I wonder if JB is his attempt to get a paycheck and back in the game. Perhaps his independent projects weren't working out. I just know I like to look at him.

Does anyone here use solid shampoo and conditioner bars? Wondering how well they work. I've been curious too. Obviously the same ad was showing up on everyone's FB because I saw one that prompted me to look some up on Amazon and then the thread appeared on GD. It kind of fizzled out though. I'm stocked up on shampoo, but when I start to get low I'm going to get a bar from Amazon and give it a try. The comments said you're hair tends to be greasy at first but to give it a few weeks to adjust and afterward your hair will be amazing and silky. I'm going to try to power through it because I can't stand greasy hair, but I like the idea of less waste, more natural products, and something easily portable. Plus Cass loves to dump shampoo in the tub so this would no longer be an option for her. I will only try something I can order on Amazon because 1) lazy, 2) don't want to pay shipping.
