My almost 8yo is loving magic right now. She makes up tricks that aren't really anything so I thought I would give her a kit where she could learn a few party tricks and such. Anyone have some suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions, but I got a few magic kits around that age and had such a good time with them. I'll have to remember this for when my kids are a bit older.

I got my son an awesome kit from Costco for Chanukah. 100 tricks, various skill levels, so it can grow with him. I doubt they're still there now, but maybe they'll be back around the holidays?

We got my then almost 8 year old something like this for Christmas. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07579KGFX/I'm glad we didn't spend more as my son was not really willing to practice to actually get good at any of the tricks but he did have fun with it for a few weeks.

I have no suggestions on kits because my kiddos are waaaay too young for that stuff yet. I did however have an awesome magic set when I was a kid. The box it came in folded out into a stand to do your tricks on. My aunt bought it at Costco or BJs back then. I will see if I can find a link for something similar.

My nephew was super into magic. I know that my SIL found a magic shop in our town. There were clubs for kids, and the staff did lots of demonstrations of tricks, and helped them pick stuff out.

Unfortunately DS is only 5 so he's not great at reading yet. He used to love when DH would do "magic" and make his toys disappear. They had a magician come to his daycare summer camp last week and he absolutely loved it. He said the magician was better than dad.

I found a couple kits at Barnes and Noble to choose from for my nephew. You might even look up youtube videos for tricks you can do with household items you already have.
