MH and I spent an hour cleaning the baby's room out. The only thing left is a desk that's going to my mom's. He's going to refinish the floors next weekend and then prime and paint the trim the weekend after while DD and I are out of town. FINALLY!!

I've mentioned before that I'm planning to get a second camera for our video monitor for baby's room. I was planning to just buy it on Amazon with the completion discount. This evening I was randomly perusing the FB Marketplace baby and kid's stuff (as one does 😉) and I just happened to come across one! Brand new, in the box, never used. Half price! I wasn't even looking for one!

Maybe I'm thinking of the body scanners at the airport? But it was the security team at the Liberty Science Center that stopped me and told me to go around. So I'm not really sure.... I definitely go through them at the airport, went through two yesterday in fact...it’s not X-rays or anything scary. The way the TSA person explained it to me at the airport was that the body scanner waves are meant to bounce off your skin, they don't see anything inside your body, so they won't affect the baby. X-rays are dangerous (hence the lead aprons if you need an x-ray while preg), metal detectors and body scanners are not. I've declined body scans early on in pregnancy just in case, but if the airport is super busy and I'm in a hurry, I'm not going to worry about going through once. www.workingmother.com/momlife/13400463/can-i-go-through-the-airport-body-scanner-if-im-pregnant/

Mine had some pretty decent stuff in it. I don't remember what I got from my Welcome Box for DS's registry, but this one was much better. Mine for DD was pretty lame so I didn't even try to add the million things Amazon wants you to add to your registry to get it this time. What kinds of things were in yours this time? Muslin swaddle, onesie (cute yellow 3-6m), Seventh Generation sampler pack, Philips AVENT Natural 4oz bottle, Honest Company body wash and lotion samples, Philips AVENT Nursing pads, Dreft samples, a couple Huggies snugglers, and some other random soap/lotion samples. You don't need to add everything to your registry to qualify. You can simply check off all the boxes on the check-list. You just need to add so you can purchase and least one $10+ item.

I think maybe I'm feeling baby having hiccups already. This is the second time now in the past few days that I'm questioning it - it's tiny flicks in the same spot that are too regularly rhythmic to be movement 🤔 DS had the hiccups nearly every day, sometimes a few times a day, towards the end! But I don't remember feeling them until 34-35 weeks or later. Certainly sounds like what I remember hiccups feeling like with DS! He had them every day towards the end too.

The first time was personal travel with just MH and I was only 8 weeks - being PGAL it made me more comfortable to skip the unknown and I opted out of the scanner and did pat downs both directions. The second time was work travel with my boss and a coworker around 5 months. That time I just went through the scanner since I was more comfortable with how much development was completed by that point.

NymeriaDo you have to have a public registry? I didn't plan on having a registry and don't want anyone to see it if I have to make one for the free stuff and discounts.

Amazon allows you to choose between Public (anyone can see it), Shared (only people with the link can see it), and Private (only you can see it). I'm basically using it as a checklist and to get the 15% off completion discount. If anyone were to ask me about it I could easily change it to Shared and share the link, but for now it's Private.

pixiepink24 I left mine public even though I don't really anticipate anyone going to look for it. But you can set the Amazon one to private for sure so that no one else can see it or search for it. I can't remember for sure if I could make the Target one private or not.
