I am at the lab today doing my first glucose screening. I was so happy the liquid was cold. Portuguese don't tend to refrigerate drinks, so I assumed it would be room temp. So much easier to drink cold.
Now I have killer heartburn and am just waiting for my blood draw in 15 minutes and one more an hour later. Blech.

Last full day on my "vacation", then we drive half way tomorrow. I feel like I will need a vacation from my vacation. Late nights, running around, and eating food that I will regret. Yesterday,I got to finally meet a J15 mom I've "known" for almost 4 years now. It's so crazy how this place builds relationships. It's also been amazing seeing DD get to spend so much time playing with her cousins and meeting family she's never met before. Makes me happy. Hope you guys are having a good week!

Yesterday I went from just feeling regular thumps to baby girl regularly balling up and pushing out and also finding a spot under my ribs. I didn’t think she could get up there yet.
Today is our anatomy ultrasound so it will be good to see what she is up to.

MH was off today and we got to work on a decent amount of the random tasks that I've needed help with. I am soooo beat now though. My body is not pleased with the physical labor. "Like" for getting stuff done! Boo to hurting after. Tasks are so much more tiring already and there's still a ways to go.

blurnette989 - The drink was definitely "better" cold so that's great it was refrigerated there too! I hear that makes it easier to get down for people who may be bothered by drinking it so maybe they've learned that too. Good luck with the test! pixiepink24 - Vacations even when fun can be so tiring! Hope your trip home goes smoothly. akwild - Hope all goes well at your scan today!!

Little guy is having a dance party today. He's been moving like crazy for a while now, even more so after the apple I just ate.

The ultrasound went well. We won’t hear anything until we see my dr tomorrow. But it sounds like they have all the pictures they need. The tech kept commenting on how active she is. I was like I’m well aware. But she’s still a girl and I guess she was in the perfect position for heart pictures.

Had my second GD test today and from the looks of my results I passed! My iron levels are VERY low though, which doesn't surprise me.

I forgot about pregnancy and metal detectors. I was at a museum and about to go through and they actually stopped me. Whoops! Sometimes I have those "I forgot I was pregnant" moments.

Oh well!

I passed my glucose test! Yay! I have also never heard about metal detectors and pregnancy. I thought at airports they'd put you through the metal detector if you're pregnant instead of the other scanner. I wonder why it is not recommended?

Maybe I'm thinking of the body scanners at the airport? But it was the security team at the Liberty Science Center that stopped me and told me to go around. So I'm not really sure....

MH and I were woken up at who knows what time by what we think were raccoons fighting in the big tree outside our bedroom window. No idea what else those noises could have been. At one point we heard a big crash too and this morning theres a big branch on the ground. Guess they were really going at it!!

I'm pretty sure standard metal detectors are fine. The backscatter machines at the airport are supposed to be as well, although there hasn't been a ton of research.
True x-ray machines are the ones to avoid.

So fun thing to do with baby, hold a light up to your belly and watch baby react. I was doing it last night and baby was moving towards the light each time

We had DD’s 2nd birthday party today. We included just mine and DH’s immediate family, so there was 10 of us at a local zoo/nature preserve near our house. It was perfect weather, we packed a picnic lunch, and everyone had a great time.
Now we’re all waking up from a 2 hour nap. Great start to the weekend!

I definitely go through them at the airport, went through two yesterday in fact...it’s not X-rays or anything scary.

I've been staying up too late recently. And then baby is going bananas at night when I lay down on my side in bed. Kept me up for at least an hour and half the other night. I really need to focus on making an earlier bedtime for myself a priority. It's so hard though when I really need that alone time at night.

Every time I wake up at night the baby is moving so much I can't fall back asleep. I love the baby movements, but at 3 am I'm just like please baby go to sleep!

I'm taking a chance and I ordered a maternity support belt last night. I feel like I'm in too much discomfort lately and it's wearing me down so much - physically, mentally and emotionally. I really hope it helps.

I really hope it helps. We just got back from a walk and I told my DH I will be buying a support belt today. All of a sudden my lower back is really struggling. I think it'll just get worse too since I'm picking up and carrying DD around all the time. tbirdlove what brand/type did you get?

Mine for DD was pretty lame so I didn't even try to add the million things Amazon wants you to add to your registry to get it this time. What kinds of things were in yours this time?

I think maybe I'm feeling baby having hiccups already. This is the second time now in the past few days that I'm questioning it - it's tiny flicks in the same spot that are too regularly rhythmic to be movement 🤔
DS had the hiccups nearly every day, sometimes a few times a day, towards the end! But I don't remember feeling them until 34-35 weeks or later.
