I haven't given O any type of sippy cup... apparently behind the curve here... I let H try one last week. I didn't expect him to be able to figure it out & I almost water boarded him. I haven't tried again but probably should. #lazy

That show cracks me up. I love the people who are like i want a tiny house but I also want a full size bathtub, full size fridge and a washer and dryer. I could maybe live in a bigger tiny house, like 600sqft. But only if I lived alone. Hell effing no to having a newborn (or any kids) in a tiny house. Likewise. The one tonight was really attractive, but when they started explaining how they're going to put the baby in the now-master bedroom--which is a LOFT(!)--and they'll sleep on a pull-out twin bed 'downstairs'...I was like, yep, hope tiny houses have good resale value! I'm getting anxiety thinking about putting a baby in a loft! And no thank you to sharing a twin pullout bed with MH.

I've got a whine and wine about my sister's wedding next year. Whine: Apparently they booked a place yesterday and so they have a date. The venue is in Maryland, an hour away from where my sister lives, and 4 hours from where my parents live in NJ. It's going to take a lot for me to not be salty over this, considering that DH and I really wanted to get married on the Cape, but I was told that no one would come to our "destination wedding" and then given an ultimatum to have my wedding in NJ or else. But I shouldn't have expected anything more. My sister and I have been treated completely differently my entire life and this is sooooo par for the course. Wine: They're getting married in early October, which means we feasibly could move up our TTC schedule next year and start around April. I guess this doesn't seem like a destination wedding to me since it's only an hour from where she lives...but maybe that's the point if the cape is close to where you are? I'm also curious where they booked since MD is not the largest state out there.

I'm also curious where they booked since MD is not the largest state out there. Yup exactly, Cape is not far from us, it's our favorite place, where we got engaged, etc. No fucks given by them. I mean we ended up doing our October honeymoon there because we couldn't afford anything else so yay I guess? Swear I'm not still bitter 😝 J/k, I am. I'm PMing you about the venue. ETA in case it wasn't clear...I don't think either of our weddings were/are destination weddings. I think it's bullshit for my mom to greenlight an out of state (to my parents...i.e., not NJ) wedding for my sister and not me.

So...I had a very odd/creepy thing happen today and I'm still a bit disturbed. We went to this tea house today and Lilah got fussy about halfway through our tea so dh took her outside. When I was done with my tea, I offered to take her so he could have his. Outside the tea house is a creek. It was pretty full and she liked the noise so I decided to walk around it. On my way back up, this guy walks by and holds up a bag. I thought he was offering me weed maybe? I mean, it is Boulder. I shook my head and kept walking. When he got maybe 20 ft behind me, he turned around, walked up behind us, and sprinkled some of whatever was in the bag on Lilah's head. I pulled her out of his reach, yelled at him, and went back into the teahouse and he left the area. Even though people were outside nearby, no one seemed to notice.
I washed off Lilah's head in the bathroom since there were a few bits of whatever it was in her hair and she seems ok. This was about 8 hours ago. But...WTF?!? I can't find anything about puting dried anything on someone's head like that. It really freaked me out and I can't relax to go to bed still. I feel awful that I didn't just run back in with her and failed to completely protect her and I'm about 100 times over the anger level of someone just touching her without my permission. It just ruined my whole day.

Wow classymrsa, that is freaky. My guess is some kind of zealot that thinks sprinkling something on someone's head will save them. Good work washing it off right away.

Watching Tiny Houses on HGTV waiting for Southern Charm. Couple just took delivery of their tiny home, and announced that they're expecting a baby. Hahahahahaha. I want to drink heavily *for* them. That show cracks me up. I love the people who are like i want a tiny house but I also want a full size bathtub, full size fridge and a washer and dryer. Those always kill me. Who the hell is coming to your house to hang out??

hangry C is using the NUK learner cups and the rimless cups. I've been giving them to him here and there for a couple months now but he's really just started figuring it out within the last couple weeks. The rimless he just figured out on Sunday and he choked on the water pretty bad.

classymrsa that is very weird and creepy. I'm guessing the individual was maybe disturbed, or just not 'all there' in the head. Glad you guys are ok.

Ohhh gah dashook I'll sit on the not favorite daughter bench with you. My current problem is that my sister wants the wedding at my house. She implied it would be minimal amounts of people. Well...she has 150+ people on her guest list. "But can cut it down to 120 if need be". Oh, and has no budget and no concrete ideas on logistics. She does have a KILLER Pinterest board though. Lolololol She's getting a CTJ talk very soon.

I can't imagine 150 people IN the house, but we have 16 acres with a pond. I think at one Christmas party we had around 50 inside. It was fine for the most part, but the bathroom situation got out of hand.
