Hi ladies! Last pregnancy I went into labor before I had the opportunity to pack a hospital bag, so I was reliant on my H to drive home periodically to grab shit as I needed it. It turned out I didn't need that much, but this time I'm determined to have everything I need (hopefully) packed before I head to the hospital.
I packed what I consider the necessities - pump, nursing bras and tops, nursing jammies, toiletries (toothbrush and paste, contact lenses, deodorant).
What am I missing?? H is in charge of chargers and camera.

I liked having the iPad and a card game of some sort. We've taken Uno all three times to the hospital.
Also, slipper socks. (My) hospital gives them to you, but they're one size fits most and always super huge and more of a slip hazard than ones specifically for women/that I've brought myself.

Depending on your hospital, this time I really liked having my own warm wraps for baby. It felt nice to put her in lovely new ones that were just for her.
Also, hand cream and lip balm because the air conditioning was so drying.

Snacks especially if hospital doesn’t have 24 hour food options.
Nipple cream if hospital doesn’t supply.
Bluetooth speaker and/or headphones - I like music during labor.
Baby book if you’re doing that & want hospital to put footprints in.

If you don't have a pump, does the hospital have them that you can use?

If you don't have a pump, does the hospital have them that you can use? Yes, the hospital gave me one to use last time because I didn’t order mine until after I left the hospital.

If you don't have a pump, does the hospital have them that you can use? They should. The hospital where I delivered DS only kept one manual pump & if they gave it out you had to wait for them to order another. I know that was still the case last year cause I had to go to Walmart and buy a pump for a friend post-birth. So... if it’s a smaller / less up-to-date hospital you may want to check beforehand.

This maybe a dumb question from a STM but why are you bringing your pump theduchess budders? I didn’t last time and won’t this time since I just got it and it’s not washed/sterilized.

My first go round I had to triple feed and the LC went over it with me in the hospital. I probably won’t need it this time, but I figured it couldn’t hurt.

Last time the nurses had me use it to stimulate colostrum/milk production. I had almost nothing to give V. I actually had to supplement with formula for about a week because I was producing almost nothing and he was having weight issues. His latch was also poor and he had a hard time getting milk from my breast, so we used the pumped milk to feed him with a syringe. This time, I didn’t use it at all because I had enough colostrum and then milk right away.

MauLoaM0M, I grow babies that don’t latch, so I pump from the beginning to help stimulate. This time, I just used the hospital pump & the Haakaa pump at the hospital.
